I think a lot of people have seen a video from the enemy side about fighting penguins. As a manufacturer of thermal imaging covers, I cannot but comment on this horror. The two photos above are the two lives of our fighters.
Now it will not be about specific manufacturers of these bedspreads or ponchos or, my God, what is it? Many manufacturers refuse or do not want to test their products. Secondly, some fighters do not understand how to use this or that means of defense. Well, look at the picture: how can you think that wearing this cloak made you invisible?
The same thing happens with EW systems, they are not always effective and cannot be relied upon. Also here is the thoughtless use in a bare field during the day. All means of protection must be applied with the head.

In reality, these are only elements of a complex system, the effectiveness of which directly depends on the tactical situation, terrain, time of day and, most importantly, on the competent interaction of all its elements. You can't just give a soldier a defense and expect him to automatically become invulnerable. Clear instructions, training, and most importantly, an understanding of how and when to use a particular tool to bring maximum benefit.
In the end, it is the soldiers who pay for the mistakes of designers, for the negligence of manufacturers and for the lack of proper training that commanders on the ground must conduct.
