A fire broke out on Tuesday at a US drone factory in Latvia that has built drones for Ukraine’s military and Nato allies.
Two dozen police cars, nine fire engines and five ambulances deployed to the scene of the fire at the factory run by US firm  Edge Autonomy  on the outskirts of Latvia’s capital, Riga.
The cause of the blaze was not known but two people were taken to hospital, Latvia’s emergency services tweeted, adding a third person was receiving treatment at the facility site.
“A high-risk fire has occurred in the production building, sparking a lot of smoke,” the fire service said on Twitter, urging local residents to keep their doors and windows closed.
Hours after some 50 firefighters were dispatched to the scene rescue services reported the blaze was under control as police launched an investigation into the incident.
The California-based company produces long-range unmanned aircraft for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, according to its website.

 Epidemiologist and former Trump senior advisor Paul Elias Alexander reiterated how the government response caused more harm than good with faulty public health measures that were never based on science or evidence of efficacy.

The United Health Conference took place on February 4-5 at Toronto's Sheraton Centre and included a wide range of speakers from various walks of life.

It was put on by a peer networking group called Justice for the Vaccinated, whose aim is to help COVID-19 vaccine-injured people connect with support and find healing, instead of gaslighting and dismissal.

One thing that all speakers had in common was that they questioned the incessant COVID programming from very early on.

The video, shot from the drone which drops the chemical weapon, shows two separate cartridges being dropped on Russian troops who have taken cover in a small creek or stream.

The first cartridge has limited effect.  The second cartridge, with a blue end cover,  is utterly horrifying.

The soldiers go into spasms and convulsions, with balled-fists, and flailing legs.

As the chemicals saturate them, the soldiers clearly cannot control their body movement, and end-up failing to keep their heads above water, presumably because they are neurologically impaired from the attack, and their brain cannot think to keep their heads out of the water.  Both soldiers die within minutes.

Insurgency can be defined as ‘the organized use of subversion and violence to seize, nullify, or challenge political control of a region.’
Insurgents seek to subvert or displace the government and completely or partially control the resources and population of a given territory. They do so through the use of force (including guerrilla warfare, terrorism and coercion/intimidation), propa- ganda, subversion and political mobilization. Insurgents fight government forces only to the extent needed to achieve their political aims: their main effort is not to kill counterinsurgents, but rather to establish a competitive system of control over the population, making it impossible for the government to administer its territory and people. Insurgent activity is therefore designed to weaken government control and legitimacy while increasing insurgent control and influence.
Insurgents require supporters, recruits, safe havens, money, supplies, weapons and intelligence on government actions. A robust insurgency can be waged with the support of just a small percentage of a given population.

He apologized again for his past "mistakes", but said his decision to step down from the top role was driven by concern that the scandal would hurt both organisations.

"I want to make clear I am not resigning from UNICEF because of the mistakes I made at Save the Children. They were dealt with through a proper process many years ago," he said in a statement.

"I apologized unreservedly at the time and face to face. I apologize again.

"There is no doubt in my mind that some of the coverage around me is not just to (rightly) hold me to account, but also to attempt to do serious damage to our cause and the case for aid.

"I am resigning because of the danger of damaging both UNICEF and Save the Children and our wider cause. Two organisations I truly love and cherish. I can't let this happen."

Forsyth joined UNICEF in 2016 after leaving his post as chief executive officer of Save the Children, where he faced complaints from three workers who said he had sent inappropriate texts and commented on what young female staff were wearing.

UNICEF on Wednesday said it was unaware that Forsyth faced those complaints when he was recruited.

"Executive Director Henrietta Fore today accepted Justin Forsyth's resignation from his position as Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF," said a UNICEF statement.

"We are grateful to Mr. Forsyth for his work over the past two years to advocate for the most vulnerable children and help advance UNICEF's mission to save children's lives," it added.

"This mission is now more important than ever."

In the wake of the MeToo movement, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres this month announced a zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment and vowed new stepped-up measures to address misconduct by staff at the world body.

A new helpline for UN staff will be set up and UN-wide rules put in place to ensure that claims are addressed in the same manner throughout the organization.

The complaints at Save The Children follow revelations that Oxfam was investigating 26 cases of sexual misconduct since a crisis erupted over its handling of a scandal involving prostitution in Haiti.

Three of Oxfam's senior leaders have apologized for the charity's handling of an internal investigation into the use of prostitutes by staff in Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake.

"I have an idea, America. You should take your Covid relief checks from the UN honeypot in the US budget, so that the American people and American businesses can survive. There are certain honeypots in the US budget such as the UN and UNICEF that go into black holes on the basis of institutional inertia. It is time to revisit these funding channels that have been taken for granted. The United States contributes roughly $10billion to the UN annually. That is a lot of money that could be used by Americans instead, especially now, allowing over 16 million people to get a $600 check each. Every year, Congress also passes the UNICEF appropriations. For the past years, they have amounted to $132million annually.

Americans should claim their money back. This is your money. You can take your Covid relief checks from the UN and UNICEF honeypots if your money goes to fund crimes against UN whistleblowers, Trump critics and human rights defenders. The UN and UNICEF do not need your funds if they anyways get their funding from questionable corporate sources Republican-style, and from Arab dictators’ royal families and circles.

Trump had a problem with pork in the stimulus package, and particularly the clauses that would fund the Smithsonian and the National Gallery. But they need the money to survive. Americans can’t allow these institutions to slip away. The difference with the UN is that the Smithsonian and the National Gallery are as much of a Washington symbol as the Washington Monument. They signify and commemorate the American spirit and progress. The UN and UNICEF don’t.  

UNICEF’s chief and Trump political appointee Henrietta Fore’s leadership style at the UN aligns with the corporate funding Republican style. Roughly, one third of UNICEF’s budget comes from private or corporate donations – more than any other UN agency. I know that because I was one of the analysts in the UNICEF corporate screening team who very quickly saw what the corporate analysis really looks like behind closed doors, and what is really behind the happy faces of multi-race children as UNICEF’s fake public front.

UNICEF performs a very intellectually dishonest analysis in corporate screening, trying to find sophisticated excuses to justify why corporations and individuals with despicable records can engage with UNICEF. Analysts who do not wish to bend the analysis through that prism, are told they have issues with “the quality of the research”. When I first introduced myself at UNICEF and mentioned my human rights background, I got surprised and shocked looks written on the faces of the corporate team colleagues. Now both you and I know why.
