Above all, Americans love freedom. A generation after we fought and won the Cold War against the menace of Communism, there is now a resurgence of the Communist menace in our land—including from newcomers to our country who embrace ideas totally opposed to our way of life.
These are not mere political disagreements, like differences over taxes or regulations. Communism is a mortal threat to American Liberty.  It is the Greatest Threat to our Country including World War One, World War Two, Pearl Harbor, or 9/11.
Because Communism is the enemy of Free People everywhere. It is the enemy of the Constitution. Above all, it is the Enemy of July 4th, 1776.
Even while the Radicals and Extremists attack our incredible history at every turn, they are SILENT on the miserable history of Communism itself. Their system has led to more death and destruction than any system ever tried—it killed 100 million people in the last century.
Communism is the exact opposite of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—it is death, tyranny and the pursuit of evil.
The Godless Communist morality states that anything is justified to bring about the inhuman visions they propose. They have no respect for law, justice, principle, tradition, or your God-given rights.
It is an ideology of mass theft, mass control, mass lies, and mass murder. Such doctrines can be given no quarter in a Democracy, because the first thing they do when they get into power is turn around, and destroy it—just as Communists have done in other countries all over the world.
Very simply, Communism represents the worst ideas and abuses in history by the worst people—the American Founding represents the best ideas and traditions in history by the best people.
You can be loyal to Karl Marx, or you can be loyal to America. You can be a Communist, or you can be a Patriot. You cannot be both.
As for those who would peddle Marxist lies about our heritage—who tell our children that we live on stolen land, or that our heroes were oppressors—they are doing something much worse than slandering our past. A crazed woman attempted to use an amplified sound device directly in my ear after I asked her husband why he is protesting Independence Day in America while being a British national. The police, ironically, the “first amendment communication team” then responded by telling me I had to leave and that I could not interact with the group. 
Then, a protest organizer approached and harassed my cameraman in an attempt to stop us from videotaping the event. The police said he was doing nothing wrong.

4 adults have been charged after 16 “almost feral” children were found living inside a Ohio home covered in feces.
The 4 adults are a grandma, grandpa, father and mother.
Gary Siders Sr, Christina Siders, Gary Siders II, and Elizabeth Siders have been hit with 16 counts of endangering children which is a second-degree felony.
Prosecutors say this is not a human trafficking case.
The children are ages 1 ½ to 18.
All four pleaded not guilty during their arraignment and their bond was set at $300,000 each.

"You know, it's one thing to penalise somebody for the game but how do you penalise them for a game that hasn't been played yet? It's very unfair. You can't do that so yes, I asked for a review by Fifa. I spoke to a man who's highly respected, and by the way, whose level of respect has gone up tenfold.
"And he was good before this started but he really pushed it in this country. I'm the one that got them to do it. It was not Biden. Biden was asleep. In fact it was very said because I got him to do it and, if the progression was normal, I would have been retired. Now the Democrats are saying, 'Man, we should have just let him have his four years. We would have had him gone.'
"But you know, the saddest thing is I got the Olympics and I got the World Cup. I tried to claim 250 years, too, but that didn't work. They said that one is what it is. No, I tried but it didn't work. I got him, I was so proud of it, and then I realised I wouldn't be president during it because I would have been out of office by that time I felt badly.
"The beautiful thing about what I did is I ran I never thought of it and then all of a sudden I realised, you know, I just got the Olympics and I totally got that myself. And I just got Fifa; I got that myself. We gave a little piece to Canada, gave a little piece to Mexico. I got that myself. And a lot of people helped like that man right there, Kevin [McCarthy]. A lot people, you know that, we work hard on that and we got it.
"But what we didn't know is how successful it was going to be. I didn't know. I said, Gianni, is anyone going to show up? Because, you know, we're not again, we we're not really I think soccer is doing much better but I couldn't imagine.
"If you would have said to any very smart people like this that the numbers they're doing now would be happening, they've never seen anything like it. Think of it, take the most successful Olympics or the most successful Fifa and you look at what's happening. You look at the numbers for this in the United States, just compared to Fifa, and it's numerous times more. It's not like 10% more, 2% more or 5% more which is more expected. It's like four times more successful than anything they've ever done. In fact, I said to Gianni, let's do it again next time and he said, that would be hard. I said, no, no, you do it again but at the same time you give it to somebody else for the next one. I don't know. It's a little crazy idea.
"All I did, I asked for a review because I didn't think it was a foul. And, you know again, I'm good at this stuff. I didn't think it's a foul, I thought it was two great athletes that crashed into each other and got entangled. That was not a guy punching somebody in the face or anything, you know, would be different.
"If they wouldn't allow a top player, maybe the best, maybe among the best players on the team, to play, I think it would have had a big stain. And I related just that view: I didn't tell him what to do, I can't tell him what to do and I don't believe he made the decision. I think it was a committee that made the decision and they made the right decision because, number one, it wasn't a foul.

Pool was taken to the paved Rose Garden where there are around 25 tables with white tablecloths, silver cutlery, drinking glasses, metal bread baskets and yellow roses. Each table is under a white and yellow striped umbrella and has four lunch guests. Waiters are wearing black jackets and bow ties.
POTUS emerged from the Oval Office at 11.51am as Lee Greenwood’s ‘God Bless the USA’ boomed from loudspeakers among the roses. All the guests stood and applauded.
Standing at a lectern with the new bell to his right, POTUS began by praising Greenwood and asserting: “We won three elections with that song.” There was an amused murmur from a guest or two.

POTUS defended his White House ballroom plans. “We had King Charles here. Everybody wanted to be here. We couldn’t hold everybody.
“… It’s also able to hold the inauguration…. Bullet proof, drone proof, missile proof in many cases.”
He noted that President Xi is coming before the end of September. “What we need is a big ballroom that can hold thousands of people.” He noted that China has one.
POTUS rejected criticism that he is building the ballroom for himself. “I’ll be lucky if I get six months because it will be done towards the middle of ‘28. I’m really building it for other presidents.”
POTUS then began taking about the Trump Accounts and thanked Senator Ted Cruz. He spoke of the “hottest stock market in history”. He praised the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq for coming together.
POTUS touted his record reducing crime and said 91% of crime in Washington DC was caused by 2.1% of the population but now the city is safe with restaurants flourishing. “Crimes of passion we can’t do much about. Just one of those things.”
POTUS said: “I just wish that I’d get a call from the governor of Illinois, as an example, or the mayor Chicago” saying they need help. “I would sort it out so fast.” He added: “I wish Governor Newsom would call me.”
POTUS said: “We now have a country based on merit. That goes for colleges… And you get into the military on merit… We have strong soldiers… It’s all based on merit.”
“We grew based on merit. We didn’t grow based on you’ve got to have x, x, x and x.”
POTUS attacked the Democrats, remarking: “Social Democrat is a communist… There’s no appetite for it.”

POTUS thanked major companies who have supported the Trump Accounts. He noted: “There’s tremendous tax benefit.” He also said 401(k)s are up.
He told guests in the Rose Garden: “It’s so great to have you here. A place we were never able to use because of the condition of the soil.” He said it is now the hottest place in the country.

"The best thing and the biggest thing that we're doing is we're building a ballroom and a tremendous military centre that was supposed to be top secret, but is no longer top secret because no matter what you do, you get sued. They sue because they think the ballroom's too big, the ballroom's too small, 'I don't like the colour of the ceiling'. You get sued in this world we're living in, especially if your name is Trump, you get sued. And you get sort of good at it after a while. It becomes routine. All Americans deserve beautiful architecture
Planners have turned away from tradition, but boxy concrete doesn't represent American ideals.
One of the highlights of my job as a U.S. senator is meeting Indiana veterans while they tour the National Mall. It's a weighty experience for everyone involved. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean War Veterans Memorial, where we often meet, sit on opposite sides of the Mall's Reflecting Pool, at probably the prettiest point in Washington. The harmony of the surrounding neoclassical monuments creates a sense of permanence.
Congress has already recognized the aesthetic importance of this area, declaring it a "substantially completed work of civic art" and prohibiting new construction from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol and from theWhite House to the Jefferson Memorial. Unfortunately, the federal city surrounding the Mall offers a less inspiring vision.
Pennsylvania Avenue east of the White House features some of Washington's most stunning buildings - but the array is interrupted by the J. Edgar Hoover Building, the FBI's monstrous brutalist headquarters. Independence Avenue is lined with elegant Smithsonian museums but blotted by the grotesque Hubert H. Humphrey Building, also brutalist, containing the Department of Health and Human Services. That structure borders the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. I have watched veterans honor sacrifice and loss while they stand in the shadow of one of the ugliest buildings in the nation's capital. It is gut-wrenching.
Brutalism, which emerged in postwar Europe, is marked by concrete blocks and hostility toward ornament. There is nothing transcendent behind the design. No aspiration. Brutalism seems designed to make citizens feel small. It's no surprise that the Soviet Union embraced it so readily. The style stands in opposition to the graceful and human-scaled tradition that defined the first two centuries of the American republic.

The truth is that architecture teaches, even when no one notices. A citizen who approaches a courthouse framed by columns of the classical orders instinctively understands that justice is something noble and enduring. A veteran who stands before a magnificent memorial senses that sacrifice has meaning. Children who walk into a school filled with light and symmetry learn that they matter. Beauty in public life must not be treated as a niche academic interest, much less a privilege reserved for elites.
It probably seems strange for anyone other than an architect - let alone an elected official - to care this much about the aesthetics of buildings. I didn't grow up around artists or intellectuals. I grew up in a trailer park in Columbia City, Indiana, the kind where two boys shared a bunk bed and summer heat made the walls sweat. My father worked in a factory that made axles. My mother took pride in meals cooked slowly at the stove. Nobody spoke about Vitruvius or Palladio or theories of design.
Yet beauty was still present. I remember being awed by the Whitley County courthouse in the center of my hometown. Its Indiana limestone exterior, soaring clock tower and galvanized dome impressed something upon me long before I had language for it.
Not long after returning from military service in Afghanistan, I traveled to Italy with my wife and encountered truly supreme architecture for the first time. Standing in Rome, placing my hand on stone that had stood for some 2,000 years, I realized that when beauty and order come together, they elevate the human spirit. And before long, I also recognized that when they are discarded, something essential in us is diminished.
Perhaps nothing in the United States illustrates that type of loss more clearly than the destruction of the original Pennsylvania Station in New York. Designed by McKim, Mead & White and completed in 1910, it was one of the greatest public buildings in the country. Art historian Vincent Scully captured the tragedy of its 1963 demolition, which left the station entirely underground for decades: "One entered the city like a god. One scuttles in now like a rat."
This decline was not accidental. Beginning in the early 20th century and accelerating in the 1960s and 1970s, many architects rejected the idea of objective beauty, treating it as an outdated relic of Western civilization. Traditional civic architecture was dismissed as oppressive. In its place came blank concrete, barren plazas, and glass boxes stripped of memory and meaning. Americans were told this was progress.
But Americans know better. Nearly 3 out of 4 — regardless of political ideology, race, gender, geography or income — say they prefer traditional over modernist design in federal buildings. People don't need a degree in architecture to recognize dignity when they see it.

The founders understood that architecture was part of statecraft. A capitol dome, uniting individuals below a single canopy, expresses the idea of collective self-government. With its visual balance and allegorical statues, a courthouse colonnade declares that justice rests on principles higher than the passions of the moment.
