The two executive orders are on restricting birthright citizenship, including for children of people who are classified as alien enemies, and children of foreign diplomatic staff, and another on parents who engage in "birth tourism".
POTUS said: "People are building businesses around it. From wealthy people are building businesses around birthright citizenship. That's not the way it's supposed to work. It's a disgrace. They're buying their way in, and we're not going to let it happen."
"What we've seen in recent years, though, is organized rings of times criminal rings, setting up a system whereby 10s, hundreds, 1000s, 10s of 1000s of people can come to this country in an organized fashion and and give birth here purely for the the sake of obtaining birthright citizenship. This order takes a number of different actions intended to combat those sorts of organized practices. We look very heavily at denying visas to people that we have reason to believe are coming here for that purpose. Visas, both for punitive parents, but also for the people organizing these rings. There's also obviously a law enforcement component."

On munitions: "Well, because we need more all the time, and we need more. Look, we gave tremendous amount to Ukraine. The Biden people did, and they were given free of charge. No, no charge, no charge. Billions, hundreds of billions of dollars, and fortunately, I built up so much during my term. I rebuilt the military and also loaded it up with a lot of stuff. CONTINUING TO PROTECT THE MEANING AND VALUE OF AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:
Section 1.  Purpose.  The privilege of United States citizenship remains a priceless and profound gift.  Since my first day in office, my Administration has guarded against the risks posed by malign foreign actors who attempt to swindle American citizens by taking advantage of the generosity of our Nation.
On June 30, 2026, the Supreme Court decided in Trump v. Barbara, 609 U.S. ___, 146 S. Ct. 2438, 2449 (2026), that the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution extends the privilege of citizenship to children born to parents in the United States "for whom no extraterritorial fiction applie[s]."  This order identifies, non-exhaustively, and prescribes action concerning certain categories of children of aliens who do not fall within the rule of birthright citizenship as announced by the Supreme Court.

Sec. 2.  Policy.  It is the policy of the United States that no executive department or agency shall issue documents recognizing United States citizenship to, or accept documents issued by State, local, or other governments or authorities purporting to recognize United States citizenship regarding, persons when neither parent of that person is a citizen and any of the following applies:
(a)  either parent of that person is an alien enemy, defined to include any member of a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization under 8 U.S.C. 1189 or Specially Designated Global Terrorist, consistent with the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, 50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq., and Executive Order 13224 of September 23, 2001 (Blocking Property and Prohibiting Transactions With Persons Who Commit, Threaten to Commit, or Support Terrorism), as amended;
(b)  either parent of that person is a foreign government employee, defined to include:
(i)    ambassadors;
(ii)   persons employed by a foreign embassy or consulate who are nationals of that foreign country;
(iii)  persons employed by a foreign government in an official capacity; and
(iv)   persons employed by an international organization that possess international-organization immunity;
(c)  either parent of that person engaged in a commercial transaction to purchase or access birthright citizenship for the person, or engaged in fraudulent activity to obtain citizenship, to include:
(i)   when the parent(s) of the person engage in a commercial transaction to ensure that the person's mother is present in the United States, or a territory of the United States, to give birth; or
(ii)  when the parent(s) engage in a commercial transaction with a surrogate present in the United States, or a territory of the United States, to give birth;
(d)  the person is born in a territory or territorial waters of the United States where citizenship is not conferred by Federal statute.
Sec. 3.  Enforcement.  (a)  The Secretary of State, the Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Commissioner of Social Security shall take all appropriate measures to ensure that the regulations and policies of their respective departments and agencies are consistent with this order, and that no officers, employees, or agents of their respective departments and agencies act, or forbear from acting, in any manner inconsistent with this order.
(b)  The heads of all executive departments and agencies shall issue public guidance within 30 days of the date of this order regarding this order's implementation with respect to their operations and activities.
Sec. 4.  Severability.  If any provision of this order, or the application of any provision to any individual or circumstance, is held to be invalid, the remainder of this order and the application of its other provisions to any other individuals or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.
Sec. 5.  General Provisions.  (a)  Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:

ENDING BIRTH TOURISM
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:
Section 1.  Purpose.  United States citizenship is among the greatest inheritances the Nation can bestow.  It embodies a sacred bond between the American people and the Nation in which they live, and carries profound rights, privileges, and responsibilities reflective of the enduring allegiance of citizens to the United States and our Constitution.  Citizenship is not a commodity to be acquired through calculated exploitation and evasion of the immigration laws, such as by entering the United States on a nonimmigrant visa for the purpose of giving birth within the Nation's borders.
Birth tourism operators use deceptive advertisements and inducements to entice foreign nationals to travel to the United States for the purpose of giving birth on American soil.  They promise citizenship; access to public benefits; and short-term stays in specialized facilities, hotels, or rentals, but often fail to deliver on these promises.  These operators coach their clients to misrepresent the purpose and duration of their travel to consular and border officials to obtain visas authorizing entry into the United States.  Failure to appropriately combat these schemes has resulted in thriving industries around the world that profit by enabling the evasion of American immigration laws to obtain citizenship and other immigration benefits for foreign visitors, and the exploitation of the women who travel here for purposes of giving birth.
The immigration laws of the United States establish discrete categories of temporary nonimmigrant visas to allow foreign visitors into the United States for study, exchange, temporary employment, tourism, and other transitory activities that are now exploited by birth tourism operators.  Participants in birth tourism schemes abuse these categories to establish a permanent foothold in the United States by securing the advantage of citizenship for their children and then potentially for themselves.

Birth tourism, defined in section 3 of this order, undermines the integrity of the Nation's immigration system by enabling foreign nationals to exploit their temporary admission to obtain permanent immigration-related benefits.  Birth tourism also diverts limited consular inspection and enforcement resources away from legitimate visa applicants, erodes public confidence in the faithful enforcement of the immigration laws, and impairs the executive branch's ability to protect the national security.
The United States has a compelling interest in ensuring that each visa category is used only for the purpose for which it was established.  Foreign nationals seeking temporary admission into the United States must adhere to the purposes for which the Congress has authorized their temporary admission, and cannot be permitted to circumvent the immigration laws in an attempt to vest themselves and their children with lasting benefits that are irreconcilable with their nonimmigrant status.
It is therefore the policy of the United States to promote the integrity of its immigration system, to ensure that nonimmigrant visa classifications are used only for their lawful and intended purposes, and to prevent the exploitation of those classifications by persons engaging in birth tourism.
Sec. 2.  Authorities.  Pursuant to section 301 of title 3, United States Code, the authority granted to the President under section 215(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. 1185(a), is hereby delegated to the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security to the extent necessary to implement this order, including the authority to issue or adopt rules, policies, operational guidance, or other guidance to carry out this order.
Sec. 3.  Definition.  For purposes of this order, "birth tourism" is defined as:
(a)  the entry of any foreign national into the United States via a nonimmigrant visa for the purpose of giving birth on American soil; or
(b)  any effort by any foreign national to facilitate the entry of any foreign national into the United States via a nonimmigrant visa for the purpose of giving birth on American soil.
Sec. 4.  Scope and Implementation.  (a)  The Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall take such actions and update any rules, policies, operational guidance, or other guidance as necessary to effectuate the policy set forth in this order.  Such actions may include, within the Secretaries' respective discretion and authority, appropriate action to prevent the entry into the United States of, or the granting of any visa or other travel authorization to, any alien entering or attempting to enter the United States for the purpose of engaging in birth tourism; revoking the visa or travel authorization and permanently barring entry of any alien who enters or attempts to enter the United States for the purpose of engaging in birth tourism; denial of entry to, or removal of, any alien who previously engaged or plans to engage in birth tourism; or other appropriate action against entities, organizations, or individuals, within or outside of the United States, responsible
for facilitating or enabling birth tourism in any manner.

(b)  All other relevant executive departments and agencies shall provide such records and information as are necessary for the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security to implement the terms of this order and the rules, policies, operational guidance, or other guidance issued pursuant to it, subject to applicable law.
Sec. 5.  Exemptions.    Notwithstanding the restrictions imposed by this order, the Secretary of State or the Secretary of Homeland Security may exempt a foreign national from actions taken pursuant to this order on humanitarian grounds or when the foreign national's entry is in the national interest, as determined by the Secretary of State or the Secretary of Homeland Security.
Sec. 6.  General Provisions.  (a)  Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:
(i)   the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or
(ii)  the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
(b)  This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
(c)  This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.
(d)  If any provision of this order, or the application of any provision to any person or circumstances, is held to be invalid, the remainder of this order and the application of any of its other provisions to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

The event has rows of seating, all filled, with a podium at center stage. Part of the marine corps band are playing lively jazz music, tucked in the corner of the room.
On the walk along the way towards the East Room, a Team USA sign was shown prominently just before the stairs up to the event.

President Trump took to speaking about gender in sports, saying "we've done a lot to help save women's sports, and we're also saving college sports."
"We're doing everything we can to protect the cherished sporting traditions that have long been part of our nation from the beginning, right from the beginning."
POTUS noted: "We had a bad judge's decision, and a judge that knew nothing about sports declared sports unconstitutional. Can you believe it?"
Earlier, POTUS shouted out figure skater Danny O'Shea, speedskater Jordan Stolz, Mogul skier Elizabeth Lemley.
POTUS also shouted out the US men's hockey team that won gold, who were absent from the event. Two athletes with the US women's hockey team that won gold were shouted out: Abbey Murphy and Joy Dunne. POTUS then touted the success of Paralympians, listing a handful of names in succession.

The athletes and the president posed for a photo, and the event concluded at 7:25pm with the band playing an instrumental version of Queen's "we are the champions" as the athletes headed out the door.

President Trump News Conference on COVID-19 Economic Relief Executive Orders
President Trump held a news conference from his Bedminster, New Jersey, resort in order to announce and sign executive orders related to COVID-19 relief. The executive orders are: deferring payroll taxes through the end of 2020, protections for renters and homeowners from evictions, enhanced unemployment benefits with $400 per week, and an extension on student loan deferments through the end of 2020. The president also said he will look into cutting income and capital gains taxes, saying this will help the middle class.

2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump held a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. He celebrated the size of his crowd on Jan. 6, 2021, when he gave a speech at the Ellipse before his supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol. He compared the size of this crowd to the one at Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech, saying, "we actually had more people." The former president also said he agreed to debate Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris at three possible televised debates, including a reportedly confirmed debate between himself and Ms. Harris on ABC on September 10.

Reel America: A Tale of Two Cities
A film tells about the destruction and death caused by atomic bombs dropped on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, on August 6 and 9, 1945. An eyewitness account by Jesuit priest Father John Seimes, who had been on the outskirts of Hiroshima, was included. The short film Tale of Two Cities was produced in 1946 by the United States War Department as issue number 74 of the Army-Navy Screen Magazine series.

Author and historian Greg Mitchell discusses a collection of films from the U.S. National Archives documenting the aftermath of the atomic bombs of August, 1945. Some of the films were shot by Japanese newsreel teams, then confiscated by the U.S. military and hidden from the public for decades. Another set of color films were shot by Japanese and American teams, then were classified as well. Clips of the films are shown as Mr. Mitchell discusses their history. Greg Mitchell is the author of "Atomic Cover-up: Two U.S. Soldiers, Hiroshima & Nagasaki, and The Greatest Movie Never Made." This program includes scenes of atomic bomb victims that some viewers may find disturbing.

President Biden Signs CHIPS and Science Act
President Biden signed the United States Chips and Science Act into law at the White House. In his remarks he spoke of the urgency to manufacture advanced chips in order to better compete against China, and he rejected the claim that the law would serve as a "blank check" for companies. Other officials who worked in getting the legislation passed also spoke, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. The law invests more than $52 billion into the production and research of semiconductors. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a shortage of chips due in part to global supply chain issues.

2024 Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris campaigned in Glendale, Arizona, with her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN). Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and his wife, former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) who was severely wounded by a gunman in 2011, also spoke. Vice President Harris was interrupted by protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza during the event. The vice president addressed the protesters, saying the president and she were "working around the clock every day to get that ceasefire deal done and bring the hostages home." Her remarks in Arizona came as the Democratic ticket made campaign stops across key battleground states in the days leading up to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
