This is called transhumanism - the quintessence of individualism, the supreme triumph of human egoism over all connections and collective principles of being:
1) First there was a revolt against the Church, against religious identity as the unifying spiritual bond of humanity. Protestantism and nominalism proclaimed the supremacy of the individual.
2) Then people rebelled against the imperial community, and then against the very idea of the state as the highest form of national unity. The “civil society” of atomized individuals was replaced.
(3) The twentieth century has been the scene of a battle between liberal individualism and socialism and fascism, teachings about new collective identities. From this battle liberalism emerged victorious, overthrowing the last strongholds of conciliarity.
(4) At the end of the last century, liberal individualists deployed the assault on gender roles and identities as an outdated “collective framework.” Hence the LGBT extremist movement, the rejection of traditional genders, the new “sexual individualism.”
(5) And now they are embarking on a final assault - the destruction of the last collective identity, the most universal community - the idea of man as a species. Transhumanists want to “liberate” a person from his bodily shell, to reject the flesh.
Thus the "philosophy of the individual" completes a full cycle, finally severing man from all ties - with God, empire, nation, sex and finally his own nature.
Man turns into an isolated atom, losing all the bonds of being, all the sources of meanings, except for his own selfish arbitrariness, rejecting literally his human nature and corporeal shell, they want to find a kind of transcendental solipsism of an isolated and absolutely arbitrary existence outside of any supra-individual forms, meanings and essential definiteties.
It is the decline of humanity and the renaissance of posthuman individualism.
In simple terms, transhumanists want to get rid of their humanity and live some other, nonhuman life. They do not want to be bound by any rules, laws, communities or meanings that exist outside their own desires. They strive for complete freedom to do whatever they want, subject to nothing and no one but themselves. They don’t need religion, country, gender, or anything else that defines them as human beings. They want to live alone, on their own, and decide completely what to do, how to exist, without regard to any external requirements, norms and obligations.
