From February 25, the minimum selling price for manufacturers will be 56 rubles per liter of vodka without the cost of packaging, for wholesale enterprises - 60 rubles per liter of vodka, including the cost of a bottle, for retailers - 62 rubles per liter,
including the cost of the bottle. Minimum prices for imported alcohol increased from 105 to 125 rubles per liter, reports “Interfax”.
The last time the minimum prices for vodka in Russia were raised on March 15. They were for manufacturers - 40 rubles per liter, for wholesalers - 43 rubles 50 kopecks, for retail - 47 rubles per liter.
According to the head of the Department of development of the agro-industrial complex of the government of the Russian Federation Leonid Kholod, the meaning of this measure is, first of all, to cut off the market products of “shadow” and eliminate unfair competition. “When paying excise taxes and other payments, the price of vodka should not be below the minimum,” he said.
According to the head of the department, the increase in minimum prices corresponds to an increase in the excise rate by 40 percent from January 1.
