TSF in Japanese stands for "transexual fiction," but it really means we will share transgender media, manga and stories.

well, personally I am thankful for them trying to fill out the genre a bit, but I wish there was more with actual substance.

I prefer to read at TGStorytime because there are a greater number of writers there with some personal imperative to write convincing stories above a constant level of standards. My favourite bing Misaania, my other appreciated authors being hikaro, mrmarvel, susy and trismegistus shandy. that said it also has a gathering of trashy garbage written by an author with the initials of PPB -.- believe it or not, it's actually possible to get stories worse than TSF no F.

At first I was excited and intrigued about how they would do SAO with TG. Many hentai had made jokes about leveling up your sexual powers or with succubus role playing back when subverting the tropes wasn't stale yet

Then came the deluge of isekai stories, and it became apparent that most stories set with videogame dynamics had even less imagination than stories set within a dungeons and dragons fantasy framework.

The one I've enjoyed most so far was, "I'm a spider" but there's no significant tg and I lost interest once it went from a monster reincarnation survival story to a heroic story. If you have any recommendations that don't suck, I'm all ears, but I can usually tell from reading the premise when it is uninspired and therefore won't hold my interest.

there a new manga that seems to be scanlated recently. Cylcia=code.
the MC is the underwhelming version of his more successful twin brother, but gets a rare letter telling him to join a VR game to meet with his long out of touch childhood friend.
In the process of logging in to talk with her, he ends up with a female devil form and a mysterious event happens causing all the signed in gamers to wake up on the ground in the real world in their game avatars.

should be a promising story imo, but only 1 chapter so far, so will be hard to judge currently.

I also kind of have hopes that the manga version of "I professed myself as the Wiseman's pupil" turns out to be good. The web novel was okay, but it got hinged on little things that it shouldn't have and honestly if the manga cuts them out, it'll turn out to be good. But yeah, Cylcia-code has a good premise so far.

I'm also liking Outrage Girl Shiomi, even if that's not isekai.

Is anyone going to read that Planetside~ Kimi no Na which ia retelling in novel form from the POV of the other villagers in the town who observe the personality changes to the MC? I thought about it, but I don't like the series enough and there isn't enough sex to get me through the boring bits.

here are some weird crappy isekai (non-tg)
> 俺は畑で無双する
> "Unbeatable as a field"
> The protagonist is reborn on fantasy world as a farming field and stays that way the entire story. He spends his time growing crops on himself. A nearby village gets attacked and he ends up gaining the ability to fight by manipulating all his dirt and squishing people underneath his giant block of farm land.

> 自動販売機に生まれ変わった俺は迷宮を彷徨う
> "Reincarnated as a vending machine to wander the labyrinth"
> The protagonist sacrifices his life to protect a vending machine and gets reborn as one in a fantasy world. He meets a girl but he can only say generic phrases that were programmed into him as a vending machine like "Welcome" and "Insert coins".

> 童貞オークの冒険譚
> "The virgin orc's adventure"
> The protagonist is an orc. He is shunned from his tribe because he can't fuck females like normal orcs do. He goes out on an adventure while meeting girls but he never fucks them. Instead, he always digs holes into the ground and masturbates into it while fantasizing about fucking them.

I took a break from reading "Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka" when her power creep reached that of a godly powered spider god, and the mechanics became too video gamey. I felt betrayed when the story stopped being about her being a weak spider that was just struggling to survive while telling self-depreciating jokes, because she went full heroic quest mode.

If you're reading it in English, read the blastron translation. It's more localized but the English is more fluent and its a hell of a lot easier to read, much more entertaining honestly. It's like he took the time to revise it and translate it semi-professionally like a novel, while the earlier translator seems to have just put out the first or second draft after going for literal explanations, resulting in some weird Japanese-English.

But there is a TG character in that story about being reincarnated as a noblewoman and having to learn the inns and outs of her new gender. Katia has an interesting story like that, and the little we get from her perspective is really nice, but ultimately she's a side character. It's too bad the Shun sidestory was not told from her perspective instead.

This story is called "Reshuffle," a body swap from the author of Shakugan no Shana, which was adapted into an anime episode. Do you know if it was translated into English? I feel like I once read it in English, but I cannot find anything other than a summary now.

Its hard enough finding decent isekai stories in general, but even more-so if looking for a TSF angle. Its either used for cheap fanservice or completely irrelevant in most cases.

IE: The sleepy vampire one he falls into the role effortlessly and its not very relevant. The elf adventurer guild receptionist its again irrelevant. The one where he reincarnates as a nee-san and the imouto has the demonlord in her its w/e. Alice Story she tries telling them she used to be a boy and they literally laugh at her bc of how girly she is, etc.

Of the two I managed to find on Syosetu that took it more seriously, both stopped updating and the one even disappeared off the site entirely. I've been thinking of trying to ask around on 2ch if anyone remembers the story and if they know if it got licensed and changed names and thats why it was deleted?

This picture is all I have. I'd describe the setup as a mixture of SAO nervegear, the gates in Dot Hack, and the Falling Down event of Cyclia=Code: There are safeguards in place so you only play your own character, but apparently there is a workaround if you are blood-related where you hotswap the headsets. Imouto wants to try swapping chars with her older brother. They clear the Minotaurs Labyrinth and instead of a normal gate appearing, a strange colored one appears and all hell breaks loose and the siblings wake up back in the Minotaur boss room with everything being real.

They only have their potion satchels however, so anything in their usual game inventory isn't available. They retained their original skills, but he's stuck as the imouto's dark elf char. Shit gets real and they almost die fighting the Mino boss again and the opening arc is them climbing their way out of the dungeon with no supplies and barely any torches, so half the time they're crawling back in complete darkness. Imouto was a mage so casting spells as him is just fine, but he has a harder time adapting to the small body and the restraints of being a reaper class with a scythe/frontline DPS while being a shrimp.

Unfortunately it had a rather generic title of "Sister Change" so its not easy to Google info.

I know the one you're talking about since I also found it once, and was planning to read it at some point. Just did a 15 minute reverse image search/keyword search/syosetu and couldn't find anything either. If it's gone then your best bet is to ask some Japanese, and if you're really hardcore, you could track down some Japanese authors who have written something similar and ask them if they have read it and know anything. If you find it, post it. It'll be a difficult quest, good luck.

This is why you need to backup everything you really like. You never know when links will die, copyright trolls will strike, or an author will have a mental meltdown and nuke everything he ever worked on. (Years of of stories at Branchtime's old website appear to have been lost when the server hiccuped and then stopped being maintained.)

Here's an unrelated picture for your trouble. You'll need a Japanese IP to ask 2ch because they're xenophobic and ban foreign IPS. I'm not sure how many are still there since 4 years ago a ton of them were very angry to learn they were being datamined, and during the shitstorm there was a mass exodus to other websites like Reddit, (8chan briefly) and librechan (defunct, although a handful from /jp/ moved to >>>/librejp/ when librechan shut down due to increasing harassment over their hebe content at /b/.)

Now 2chan has been re-branded as 5channel and I heard that there's hardly anyone left there, and it's very slow and full of bots. There are about 30 tochakis at /librejp/ who will tell you the story in broken English because they hate the place, and Nishimura, and Jim Watkins. tochakis, they hate that place.) Maybe http://www.2chan.net/ (of 「ふたば☆ちゃんねる」 fame) knows where to find it though? They're still active and they even have a cross dresser board.

Isekai and VR are absolute cancer, but I'd still recommend reading the decently translated TSF web novels.

Also I'd recommend royal road for english TSF web novels too, which honestly, I can't tell the difference between weeb and nippon versions.
