it's a file where you tell your OS the ips corresponding to urls so it uses those instead of asking the DNS. In UNIX based OS it's located in /etc/, in Windows you'll find it in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, you'll need to run your notepad as administrator to be able to edit it and it might be hidden.

i haven't interacted with flimsychan in any way since my nikocado anus posts a few days ago, which were caused by someone coming here and spamming endchan. when someone posted starfire CP in the middle of my nikoanuses i reported it to the registrar, who wrote back in a couple hours and said they notified the owner and it was deleted.

he talked about it on a stream a few weeks ago. after world peace got canceled, he wrote a show with nick rochefort that got greenlit on adult swim. when they wrote the script they put all 3 members names on the credits, and because of that, all of them had to sign off or something, and sam refused. sam basically fucked them over

thats the situation told from charls point of view. sam denied it and claimed its a lie, ofcourse. im pretty sure they are all pretty mentally ill so i guess we will never know the true reason to why they split.

I had this exact same issue with my razer mouse, was just starting to think I'd finally found the perfect mouse and then started having issues
googled it and it turns out it's a manufacturing design flaw, so getting it replaced would probably just end up having the same problem again

I have the same issue, also a razer mouse. Luckily it has the side clicks (like you can move it side to side for an additional macro) on the mouse wheel so I use left for scroll down and right for scroll up.
Sad to hear this is such a common problem. I have basically razer everything but am less than thrilled with the longevity of any of it. Except the keyboard which I think is pushing about 10 years now.

i have a razer viper v2 pro and its scroll wheel has held up well. either coz it's their most expensive SKU or cause i lubed it right when i got it

computer mice are to some extent designed to break... the ones with nice optical primary switches will always have brass-plated mouse3/mouse4/mouse5 switches that are designed to oxidize and stop working in a year or two
if you want a really long-lasting mouse you gotta learn to solder, you can just replace everything with gold-contact D2F-01F omrons

anyway if you just want a nice mouse with a tough scroll wheel, i've never had any problems with my G305s and they're real old and have a lot of hours on them. make sure to buy some rechargeable AA eneloops if you go that route

Well anons, I kinda did it. I said a bit over a week ago that I'll write an live image-board myself and it's done. Will need one small update but besides that it's done. Just read though that someone hosted an other Meguca besides sturdy so I guess I worked kinda for nothing. But still had fun. I hope I'll find some other use for it though

I still have no clue what I'll do with it. One thing I came up with is maybe use it as a temporary spot for an unrelated board I used to visit that mysteriously vanished recently. Maybe I'll make it horror related as crappy paranormal stories are my weak spot. But that's it so far. I'm giving myself a month to find something to do with it. its hard to actively test because of the super long autorefresh interval
it seems to autorefresh ok while i'm focusing the tab (i think?), but if i go to my other monitor and play some games or something, i'll have to tab back to endchan and click refresh, which causes it to hang for a moment then vomit out all the new posts

maybe nitpick here but it'd be cool if magrathea thumbnails had a smaller play symbol for videos, and maybe out of the way in a corner

for vertical vids it frequently takes up all of the center of the vid (the most important area)

also the default audio setting for magrathea mutes videos which will convince people that audio just doesnt work on magrathea
