The Clock Reality
> >A ritual for entering temporal trance and perceiving hidden layers of time behind time
Requirements:
> A quiet room with minimal light.
> One analog clock— do not use digital.
> Candle
> A small object to represent yourself coin, stone, figurine.
> sand
Step 1 steps for the player
> Place the clock where you can see it clearly.
> Draw a circle with chalk around yourself and the clock. The clock must sit exactly at the center.
> Sit facing the clock. Light the candle.
> Place your self object on the clock.
> For exactly 45 seconds , stare at the clock NO blinking if possible.
> During this time, do not speak or move — even a small twitch counts as breaking the ritual.
Step 2
> player Whisper their full name and the current hour (e.g. [player’s name], 23:17) three times.
> Then, open their eyes and look at the clock again.
> The ritual space may feel stretched distances will appear longer, time slower.
> Now we need observer. The player sits cross-legged inside the circle closing eyes. The observer kneels outside.
> observer whispers repeatedly:
“Second hand, minute hand, hour hand. Spin for me. Spin for me.” in a low monotone, no breaks, until the player begins to feel dizzy or detached.
> player see colors waving and then clock, large clock. Observer SaY „do you see the clock? Does it move?” If not just repeat from the 2 point to 6
> Observer slowly picks the self object upside down and put sand on it, whispering “Turn the sands. Turn reality.”
Step 3
> After 1-2 minutes, the player should feel time dilating minutes may stretch into hours, the ground may feel like rocks or sand. But they cannot open eyes
> The observer should whisper „put the clock down, turn the time off. The time doesn’t exist. The humanity doesn’t need it, it’s just a lie to control us” then wait for 30 seconds in silence and ask the player if they see anything
> If the player sees empty grass field with the multiple clocks on the sky waving or old fashioned room covered in clocks, reality is starting to fracture, player should not touch anything that isn’t a clock.
> Observer needs to say “you step through the hour that is not yours.” And guide them on the new reality. Ask them questions, make them go to see different clocks (remember: they can’t touch anything that is not a clock)
> BUT If the player sees their own room but with things changed in places when they weren't, covered by clocks instead of field or regular clock room. They must leave. the observer should move them straight to step 4
Step 4 Returning
> observer blow out the candle and tell player to count backward from 60 to 1. <60,59,58….
> The clock reality is slowly fading and player gains consciousness. When finished, player may open eyes. They cannot stand until the observer confirms that the time returned
> If the player finished counting and still sees the clock reality and cannot open their eyes the ritual has failed. Time may have stopped for them. They are not able to wake up
Warnings
This ritual is not a game in the normal sense. It manipulates perception of time and self.
Disorientation, anxiety, and mild hallucinations are normal.
Some participants report hearing hundreds of ticking clocks in their heads for days.
Never attempt alone. Solo attempts are rumored to trap consciousness between seconds.
If you see blank clocks or your own room, exit immediately, some have never returned.
