Python seems like a fine choice. Except not really on Windows, and I do wonder how the GUI was generated then. It kinda looks like winforms.
Did it make a C# program for the GUI and then invoked a python script through external progress execution to get an output or whatever?
Seems QT would have been a more obvious choice in that regard, but it just doesn't look like a QT interface

Python was a terrible choice for making it look like winform! It's all clunky and weird! Like a Chinese excel knock-off!
I actually don't know. It's been a while since I looked at the program. I a lot of it was beyond me. pandas is nice if I recall correctly.
Definitely not human written. Wish it'd more consistently utilize type hints instead of only sometimes.
Wasn't far off the mark regarding the UI at least:

That's AI for you. Now imagine if you get AI to estimate your asks too. Then the estimate is at a quarter of what it should've been, and the result is something that's just a quarter done, even though all functionality and even visuals are fully documented. This used to be a task you could provide to a freshman and they'd get it done in a fairly reasonable amount of time. In the era of AI, you miss the mark completely.
And now people don't even test the shit they spew out

When you have a codebase of 300 projects and a few million lines of codes, the agent will quickly be hit by context pollution which tremendously increases the risk of hallucinations. It's then up to a human to correct the clanker.
Give this tool to a person that cannot read code, nor know the domain, and you're in for a very bad time

I don't feel much positive emotion these days at all. There is little satisfaction in general. 
Do you like your job? Do you feel like you are making a difference at the end of the day? 
I have a lot of work, but there is little human interaction. I just feel isolated. (All of my colleagues are 6 hours ahead and most of them log off at 4pm (my 10 am) sharp every day. )

It's hard but don't measure your life by how much satisfaction you feel, love your neighbour and do good by them. Christ wasn't always cheerful either.

Yes and no, it can be challenging to not take his behaviours personally sometimes. Last Monday I made a pros and cons list about quitting my job, then I just chose to call sick for the next shift and got myself a 6 pack.

He gets to go out a lot more than he used to, every day shift he has with me we go out.
Try to find out if there are social groups around you could join, even just casual ones. For me it's a mix of church and a men's group every Thursday morning I go to where we get coffee and chat.
