At present the world lacks a place for valiant souls. Is this a realm of hell to exile valiant souls to then? So that they must be tormented in meaninglessness, unable to follow the path of the warrior. Or rather is this a world where there are no valiant souls to have a place to begin with?

The world, and in that our lives is what we make out of it. There are circumstances we cannot change and we get dealt a hand we have to work with, and these varies a lot from person to person, so our settis could be very restricted depending.
Sure there are "valiant souls" but a person is a breddy complex thing. I'm sure even if he lives up to that title in his entire life, some people he meets will definitely consider him as an asshole, and those don't have to be "bad" people.
There's this view that our existence are series trials which ennobles the soul as it goes through consecutive lives (via reincarnation). A failure means another life with different hardships.
I dunno.
Reptilian clans have managed to replace strength and thus valor with intelligence and wealth. The modern world is no place for people who want to earn their bounty through strength and replaced it with coins that he earns by pressing few buttons in front of a machine that only speaks in binary system just so his reptilian master can fund a private vacation to the West Indies.
This thread is just pure bullshit! Souls don't exist, and the world isn't "what we make of it", it is what we is. We have original sin.

By valiant soul I don't mean soul as in a literal soul. Whether the soul exists or not is not so important in this case. But you will see that throughout history there are numerous people that could be seen as special with special characteristics, you could call them legends, heroes, valiant souls or what else you like. People like Nelson, Napoleon, Blutcher and William Light that all exist in this same time and interact with the events of the world and each other through this if even not directly, although these valiant souls do also tend to gravitate towards each other and interact directly. What can a valiant soul do know? Do we even know if they exist anymore? They probably may not and perhaps it's not that the world is not fit for them but that because there are none the world has become what it is.

flesh do not exist
you don't have a soul, you have 'a body'

even back in the day it was complicated, reached south pole basically had virtually no support until the last day

heck even Noah didn't have any support

I have been feeling quite melancholic of late, my own valiant soul is being crushed underneath the weight of this depraved society and the light is being suppressed. Sad. All my kind are destined to die in the shadows in this world.

Where is our generation of celestial heroes? The light of the valiant souls is diminishing, perhaps none exist at all. Does this not cause vexation to you masses? Do you not see the dignity of the world fading before you with no heroes and superb fellows to prop it up? There is not a hope for the realms of this earth any longer.

Danebernd isn't among us anymore. He went on ebin quest to Serbia to reject technology and spend his life with tilling soil and milking goats.

Maybe you also need an ebin adventure. Shake yourself up a little. Remain within your limits what you can bear, but try step out of your comfort zone, so somewhere between those two.

That's a good song. I wouldn't write him off just yet.

It's outside EU. You can't really threw the shackles within the overregulated Skandi states and EU.

I not meant slay some orcs, just to do something you don't normally do or never did in your life. Something that breaks the monotony of your days.

Pretty much every place on earth has been discovered and explored at this point. Current era is really mundane too tbh

Throughout most civilization, most of the people living have been forgotten or ignored. I dunno. Maybe have a kid or do some gardening or handicraft. Just to live your spirits fam

> my own valiant soul is being crushed underneath the weight of this depraved society and the light is being suppressed
Life goes in circles. What's accepted today can be just as easily hated, banned or prohibited tomorrow. Hardly anything stays the same in the long term

Maybe not deep sea but there are lots of interesting thinks along the shoreline that I might want to explore(well not here). Most nations have flood myths and it's because the sea has risen and as cities are want to be sited along bodies of water many of them were flooded. I think that would be nice to explore if they don't all get discovered before I can.

In our lifetime it is possible that sea levels will rise to the point that much of the coastal cities and regions of the earth are sunken, including the Kingless state of savages known as Bangladesh in all of it's entirety.

Should this come to pass then with any luck the world will be thrown into chaos as the myriad of brown folk fight over the land and resources that remain. Sadly I think I will be too old to take a part in this however, I don't know which sovereign would be deserving my service anyway.

I can see it now. The Bernd Aquatic, with Hungarybernd. We just need to find somebody to fund us

Most of the deep sea floor is still completely undiscovered. Modern Submarines can't handle the high pressure. Who knows what Lovecraftian creatures are hidden underneath the surface?

Cthulhoo is cute.
Wouldn't that big lobster crushed tho?

Also the vast majority of caves are unexplored as well. Not sure where I read it.

I prefer to think of all such somewhat-anthropomorphic depictions as only symbolic and representational, as Lovecraft himself indicates, the octopus-dragon-squid Thing itself hardly describable with accuracy by human minds.
The bas-relief was a rough rectangle less than an inch thick and about five by six inches in area; obviously of modern origin. [...] Above these apparent hieroglyphics was a figure of evident pictorial intent, though its impressionistic execution forbade a very clear idea of its nature. It seemed to be a sort of monster, or symbol representing a monster, of a form which only a diseased fancy could conceive. If I say that my somewhat extravagant imagination yielded simultaneous pictures of an octopus, a dragon, and a human caricature, I shall not be unfaithful to the spirit of the thing. A pulpy, tentacled head surmounted a grotesque and scaly body with rudimentary wings; but it was the general outline of the whole which made it most shockingly frightful.
[...]
The figure, which was finally passed slowly from man to man for close and careful study, was between seven and eight inches in height, and of exquisitely artistic workmanship. It represented a monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind. This thing, which seemed instinct with a fearsome and unnatural malignancy, was of a somewhat bloated corpulence, and squatted evilly on a rectangular block or pedestal covered with undecipherable characters. The tips of the wings touched the back edge of the block, the seat occupied the centre, whilst the long, curved claws of the doubled-up, crouching hind legs gripped the front edge and extended a quarter of the way down toward the bottom of the pedestal. The cephalopod head was bent forward, so that the ends of the facial feelers brushed the backs of huge fore paws which clasped the croucher's elevated knees.
[...]
The Thing cannot be described--there is no language for such abysms of shrieking and immemorial lunacy, such eldritch contradictions of all matter, force, and cosmic order.
[...]
Then, bolder than the storied Cyclops, great Cthulhu slid greasily into the water and began to pursue with vast wave-raising strokes of cosmic potency.

Lovecraft writing style is very mechanical. He gives precise descriptions of everything, but fails at the emotional impressions people suffer at the sights of these unspeakable horrors. He's a prime autist.
