That's Southern separatism which is not specifically German, and a bit of a joke given the "South" is a geographical abstraction with no political meaning and only exists because geographers in 1969 thought it was a useful regionalization. It's not like Rio Grande do Sul which can legitimately claim to be a nation.

I think this could be changed.
First people need to be allowed to get involved on the lowest level of governing, at their settlement, or if it's a larger city, then at their borough, neighbourhood. They need to be let govern directly, they need to feel that they do stuff together. This have to go for years. Then it could be taken one step further, city or county level, then to the state/country. Even indirectly can be done responsibly and can be done in a way that the representatives could be told directly how they should vote in the Parliament, or they could be called back and someone else be sent instead of them.

As a grassroot movement could be initiated with a referendum by people.
They have to collect a certain amount of valid signature to do this. A disorganized group however has less chance to do so. They also need to send their message to wider audience so people will know what's this about. As a first step it could be about direct democracy in their locality. They could face considerable amount of bureaucratic headwind since it means ending the politician profession. Some live very comfortable doing nothing but acting important as politicians do. They won't like this. Also there or powers (for example lobby groups) who enjoy the simplicity of having certain politicians in their pockets who does what told. They just need to own couple of key figures, as the bottlenecks of exercising governing power. They won't like this either.
Direct governing also has it's own problems. Many people feel they just want to work their 8(+) hours daily and then leave them alone. They don't want to bother with getting informed about current issues and making up their minds on their stance on it. It could be a bother to go vote on every other day, but we possess the knowledge and possibility to do all that electronically now, so it could be done with less hassle. (But we all know that the politicians in power would use this as an excuse to block the initiative, claiming it's too expensive to build the infrastructure, and even if we would manage to go through them, the thing would be made poorly and even more expensive - most of the cost would wander into the pockets of the politicians.)

There are things I can agree on. But Islam is not an ideology, but a religion. It is exclusive since also seem to not tolerate much ideologies, or rather the ideologies have to conform to Islam.
I agree that it is mind boggling how Western enlightened, atheists are blind about Islam while bashing Christianity where they can.
Snappy description is the rise of Islam there. What a contrast with Christianity if we think about it.
Large part of the left is just namecalling and demonization, and not rational presentation of proofs.

The thing is they don't know when to tolerate when to not. If you tolerate the people who are uncivilized only loyal to their tribal and primitive affinities, tolerating them is equal to not tolerating the civilized people. 

Note that I'm not specifying any religion and ethnicity but majority of muslims are guilty from this. What's worse the actual civilized muslims who are marginalized by majority of muslims will have it worst in the west, the cowards too afraid to lash out against muzzies always pick on these kind of people. 

Which is why western countries despite have much better state structure, education and also fundings do worse than Turkey when it comes to early education. We're much better than  taming them and integrating them to higher cause. Which is why the people who got basic education in here and doing better than German-Turks, the one thing we suck is the higher education, not teaching manners. Some people are just okay with tolerating these people so they milk virtue signalling points, at this point it's a profitable business even, which sucks.
