well in my case after going down the /mu/ indie rabbit hole for years I eventually burned out on it and went back to dadrock
Ashley, I wanna be your Lightning McQueen.

I was gonna say "man look at all that bad hair", but on second thought what will kids 30 years from now think of old pictures of the current youth...
 >>/1103/

I thought you meant Eric Stolz for a minute. I was like what the hell he looks normal. But yeah, as of yet 80's hair is the only style that's never made a hipster comeback, so it's pretty objectively awful.
I like trance and edm such as ATB, KSHMR and Veela.
if anyone has a playlist of that sort of thing I would listen to it and watch for it to be updated regularly
 >>/2036/
well I'm not Ashley but if I was, and I found out that a 20-something dude was pulling his lever to pics of me when I was like 13... I would think that that was pretty based and that he must have good taste in women and music, just like Piero Scaruffi

Definitely a cover, a good one, but I liked the flashbacks. When the real Dylan recorded it he was at his most popular in my opinion.
you guys like American Football? one of their songs was on Ashley's playlist
I saw them live a couple years ago and even met Mike Kinsella briefly
they suddenly got back together in 2014 after 15 years to everyone's shock and made a 2nd album. this was like my equivalent of Eagles getting back together.
so the moral of the story is it's never out of question for an artist to suddenly reappear out of the blue

Aaah, a Thanksgiving tradition I usually listen to every year. I wonder how many people know that it's not just a story but a true story told with little or no hyperbole that started Thanksgiving weekend 1965. Thanks for posting.

Just heard that turkey is done, got to go. Have a happy.

it's actually funny that nip tunes were posted because i have mostly been listening to city pop lately. it takes me back to old school anime i used to watch and how awful shit would be happening but there would be these soothing melodies played in contrast. i feel like we're living through a tomino anime atm and listening to this shit pretty much gets me through the day

and lol I know that guy too. someone make a remix of this song a couple years ago which made me go start listening to him.

I swear I'm not just duckduckgo-ing everything you post, I'll readily admit if I don't know something

I haven't seen much old anime, maybe if you count NGE or Cowboy Bebop, that's about it. so my take on that is that we're living through a Godspeed You Black Emperor album.

I admit I had no idea who Godspeed You! Black Emperor were but after googling them, I saw East Hastings from 28 Days Later, which was one of my favorite movies, so I have listened to them before, at least part of that song. I'll check them out. I've also seen the documentary from where they take their name. It did seem familiar. I have a friend who was a film major in college and his professor was hired by Toho to make a documentary on Godzilla earlier in his career, but since the creator of Godzilla became emotional about his work during the interview, Toho chose not to release it because that's a taboo in Japan. So anyway, my friend would always get these random film recommendations from his professor and since my friend is a weeb and at the time I was into Kurosawa and Jap vintage, that was one of the films he suggested. My friend is also really into mu, so he may have suggested this band in the past and I overlooked them. This was my favorite song from 28 Days Later https://youtube.com/watch?v=pBQDfOpWfBI

all beautiful songs. I'll be real with you dog I totally thought you were Ashley this whole time lol. she definitely knows who GYBE are though.
East Hastings is good, that whole album F#A# is really good, I actually like the first song the most. they're all about doom and gloom and armageddon so they're a good soundtrack for the current times.
I just listened to that last song while writing this and it was pretty cool.

 >>/2726/
that definitely wasn't you you colossal faggot. you're not capable of writing a whole paragraph without self aggrandizing or insulting people.
don't go anon. you're the most interesting person to talk here

Have you ever listened to Prince Rupert Awakes by King Crimson? I prefer Daisuke Inoue's take on it which I admit was because of the association to the anime, but now, this song just hits different on an emotional level

and if that was you, then who's this guy >>/2735/ ????????????

 >>/2780/
this guy here >>/2728/ >>/2735/ has been writing posts like these now and then with a similar air to them since I've been here, and I've apparently been wrongly attributing them to LB.
what are his motives? trying to blackpill the people yet remaining here himself? I see two possibilities:
A - he thinks if he scares everyone else away and is the last one here that Ashley will finally love him
B - he has a grudge against her for something that happened in the past
or maybe a weird combination of the two? it's a mystery. but one thing's for certain, suicide is his only option.

Now you listen here, cupcake. Rock formed out of Folk and Country. It's a White man's genre. Niggers couldn't invent themselves into the iron age why the fuck do you think they'd magically create a music genre that Whites would flock to and Niggers would avoid so they could live in rap shit? Just because kikes used NIGGERS to popularize rock in those early years doesn't mean anything other than you're clowning yourself. Open your friggen eyes, man. I bet you believe the Holocaust and the moon landing really happened. I bet you read Snopes. Bitch please.
 >>/2829/
> they'd magically create a music genre that Whites would flock to
you mean like jazz in the 20's or hiphop in the last 30 years? damn dude run it through your head before you press enter.
folk and country may have been part of it but blues was the main predecessor to rock, literally every rock song in the 50s followed what's now called 12 bar blues. European music culture was all about form and structure, the emphasis on syncopation and improvisation came from African music. the actual good rock music (the 70s) would've never happened with only European roots.
don't get me wrong I have no delusions about 13/50 or muh racial equity but just I call it how I see it. you're on some next level stormfront shit.

we all know Ashley made exceptions where it applied
https://youtube.com/watch?v=PJ0u5c9EF1E
Most rock aficionados consider Rocket 88 by Jackie Brenston and His Delta Cats to be the first rock and roll song which was recorded in 1951. If you listen to the song there are elements of jazz, rhythm and blues and boogie woogie. The kids of that era were losing interest in the big band sound and were drawn to this new and hip sound by black artists.
 >>/2837/
Niggers didn't invent rock music. Easy as. You're a retard, I'm sorry that I have to be the one to tell you that. I don't know how you found Ashley while still being this thirsty for nigger dicks and Jew propaganda, yet here you are.
 >>/2838/
hey man, I'm a racist. I took a test on buzzfeed and got "alt-right incel" as my result (they're a legitimate news source, they have whitehouse credentials). I also asked a philosophy professor at my school and he said that since I'm part of the oppressive class and the country is full of institutional and cultural racism that I have inherited the sin of racism.
so there you have it from two experts in the field, so don't be talking down to me like I'm not racist enough just because I don't have generalized hatred for any ethnic groups.

> i-i'm a racist too!

white album is okay i guess but the beatles are a meme

buckcherry didn't invent rock music. some black dude fenced it from his cousin marvin who stole it from some kid named calvin klein during the enchantment under the sea dance at hill valley high school, hill valley, california in 1955

now that's a crack theory I can get behind!
and I actually don't hate The Beatles, I like a few of their songs. I'm just burnt out on art hoes and other entry level rock fans who read books about them and talk about them like they were the Mozart of rock music, and think they're music geeks for liking essentially the 60s equivalent of One Direction.
but, they were very good songwriters. I'd still put them in my top 20 rock bands probably

I dont like your voice, but the lyrics and guitar work is really good!
Im trying to learn guitar myself but Im struggling with simple chord changes using "cowboy chords"
anyway good stuff dude!
thanks dudes

 >>/3010/
yeah that's not my normal voice, I was doing a very half-hearted impression of the AJJ singer
I'd never heard of cowboy chords before, most people call them open chords. and it all depends on how much time you dedicate to it.

Watched a girl give my friend her phone number today. I think that an alien invasion is a more likely scenario in my head than a girl going out of her way to converse with me. Right then I felt like complete garbage. Good luck everyone.
 >>/3040/
Don't sweat it, man. Like the saying goes, "There's an ass for every seat". You just haven't found the seat yet or it hasn't found you.
 >>/3040/
are you confident to approach a girl and strike up a conversation? i know for some it can be hard to do unfortunately. its a skill that can be learnt but getting out there and making that first move is the hardest part.
Goodluck, theres plenty of fish with micro-plastics in the sea!
 >>/3056/
yeah that's the thing, even with all the "muh gender equality" nowadays girls still generally expect guys to do the chasing. you're not necessarily ugly if girls don't approach you, you're just not hot or charismatic.
e.g. Elliott Roger - fairly decent looking, expected girls to approach him, was horribly offended when girls did not approach him
 >>/3060/
yeah lol she just has to act like a normal girl so that it'd be good practice

I was thinking though, even assuming she doesn't join, we should all do a big voice chat on the discord sometime
...I joined the discord a couple weeks ago even though I said I wasn't going to
 >>/3059/
> just not hot
I'm really short, thankfully not as short as ashley though lmao.
> not charismatic
I usually try to engage with people and start up conversation, but usually in the case of talking to women, get shut down by their cold cold demeanor and general disinterest in talking to me. I don't try and hit on them or anything, I just normally talk to them. I get along well with guys in my classes though.

well you're talking to a fellow future-wizard loser here, but my observation, from a scientific standpoint, is that girls tend to like guys who they see other girls and people in general paying attention to. so social status / charisma / physical attractiveness play into it but the crux of the biscuit is if you have mental energy being directed at you. so it's kind of a "rich get richer" game where you meet more people/girls if you have an existing social network. creating a social network in the first place is hard though, especially as an adult.

anyway, sorry that's only tangentially related, so the easiest way to talk to a girl is if you're in a situation where you're already sort of talking so that you can avoid the sense that you're going way out of your way to talk to her (the more desperate you look the lower your chances are). so ideally at some kind of group hangout/event where you have mutual friends.
just approaching a stranger is much harder, but you can sometimes do it in scenarios like at a cafeteria if you're in school. I also tried it at the library once, I would really like to erase that memory, but it's important to do it lots of times even if you're a cringe festival so you can start to get better at it.

one thing I've never attempted is just talking to a random girl in the street. I think you have to have a certain type of personality to pull that off. I saw a dude at my uni a couple weeks ago stop a girl randomly as they were passing and ask if she had a boyfriend. I half admired him for doing something I could never do but was also almost in physical pain watching him.

also I just remembered this is the music thread. I guess now it's the /mu/ feels thread.

ASH HOLY SHIT LOOK WHAT JUST HAPPENED
https://youtube.com/watch?v=UmgDLGpl9ME
https://godspeedyoublackemperor.bandcamp.com/album/all-lights-fucked-on-the-hairy-amp-drooling

for the non-/mu/ people this is an old demo tape people have been looking for for at least 20 years and has had numerous fake leaks. this one is on the band's official bandcamp so it's most likely real, assuming they still had a copy of it sitting around and didn't just make a fake one for a quick buck.

 >>/3064/
I owe it to you for finding out about this btw, I was gonna post the song "No Job" to be funny.
what industry are you trying to work in?
 >>/3064/
From watching the news on tv and other sources, the jobs that right now seem to go begging are those in the service industry.
 >>/3065/
We just keep running into each other like this...on this dead board; what are the odds? No seriously, what are the odds? Like one in three? Glad I could be of help. I just found out they called back today and I missed them. So maybe they will give me the job? Idk? Industry? Ain't nobody hiring for my true talent man. I was listening to this yesterday. Neat. I don't know much about them. I was drawn in by the album art. Reminds me of pic related I see posted on /pol/ all the time. I really like the guitar sound at 2:15 and 2:19. It's haunting. The song reminds me of something A7X would come up with.
 >>/3099/
same about the album art. I've listened to a lot of albums just because they had cool album art. are they all instrumental?

No. Some songs have tunnel throat screaming. I don't much care for death growl. I find it just as cringe as beatboxing and stepping.

If you want a gf, you have to ride your bike to her house without having a black steal it as a romantic gesture. So Ashley is 1,698 miles away from me according to google. Welp, better gets to pedalin'. By the time I get there, I should have really strong legs that I can choke her dad out with. I'm coming for you Jason. We will be wrestling. He posts mostly on tiktok now. No? I just realized who you were talking about after searching for them. I did visit her account when anon posted about her. I wouldn't dm a 17 year old girl though. I'd shitpost about her on a dead board until she was 23, then ride a bicycle halfway across the country to make an ass of myself on her front lawn. You have to think these things through, man. I know we all joke around about having Ashley dreams, but I legit had a dream last night that nudeobama was just Ashley in disguise and I woke up so relieved and feeling stupid that I hadn't put it all together earlier. none of that shit means a thing, you can't identify a specific girl from any of those traits, it could be a million different girls. unless there's a very clear shot of the face you can immediately dismiss it as a troll. aside from that you can logically discard it because she only had hair that long years before and years after the internet ordeal. plus the dude claimed it was the "only verified nude" but that pic had never been posted before.

anyway, this is the music thread

that's obviously Bree although it appears to be edited. this is why you have to see the face otherwise you would've been like "WOAH the hair and shoulders and tits look JUST LIKE HER!!!"

ah thanks
how did this niggette not become an actor? I wouldn't even know that was her if I hadn't heard her do similar voices

i could be your solid ground ashley. my mother tells me i have a sturdy foundation. you could step on me if you'd like. don't worry about it being weird or anything. i'm a foot fetishist so i'm okay with it. i figure the best way of satisfying our needs is to be your floor. feel free to trample me but please mop me afterward and keep me clean for guests. my mother may visit.

don't listen to that weirdo, ashton. i was at the supermarket today buying mounatin dew and dill flavored potato chips when a rod stewart song started to play. i thought about how awesome it would be to move out of the suburbs into some swinging hip city. with you, of course. just the two of us publicly engaging in a little nephew/uncle magic, growing matching mustaches, dressing like twins. on the weekends we could go out at night and drop cinder blocks on the heads of sleeping homeless people.

yeah here it is https://www.youtube.com/c/dillweed
I found it once with the internet archive. it showed up as one of the linked accounts on the ashleyj channel sometime in the months after she disappeared.
it's possible that it was her and she was thinking about making that her new account and then abandoned it, but it's also possible and maybe more likely that someone who was already listed as a linked account renamed their channel to pretend to be her

anyway I'm not super into EDM or techno but I do like some of these songs

I'm not really into EDM either. I don't really have a favorite music genre. I'm one of those autists that find a song I like every now and then and listen to it on repeat. I really like these few EDM songs I'm sharing though. To me, they are great songs, not just songs to do drugs to and wave glow sticks. https://youtube.com/watch?v=LFpJQYtIP-E

very nice, listened to the whole thing and liked it! but Im still very new to the 70's jap jazz/funk era.
Have you heard of Ryo Kawasaki?
he's a pretty fascinating guy. He studied quantum physics at Nippon University, designed one of the first guitar synthesizers and played on one of the first ever digitally recorded albums

That was ethereal. Nice feeling of inconsolable longing there. I know that feel bro. For some reason, it was giving me Dreams vibes. So I went back to listen to that song and realized both videos are the same length. So forgive me for possibly invading your genre, but I made this and they fit quite well together.
 >>/4473/
I do recognize that album. You can't miss that album cover. I listened to this at some point in the past several months. I'm not aware of the artist other than their name on the album cover. I'm not acquainted with their work or for that matter, the work of most Japanese artists. I just listen to the tunes, man. Keeps me from falling into cynicism so I can remain more sardonic when dealing with people's shit in clown world. Thanks for the history lesson though. Going to read up on him now. Listening to the album again, my favorite tracks are definitely Sometime and Bamboo Child.

I was gonna ask why you posted the instrumental versions, but on listening to the originals I'd agree that removing the vocals improves them slightly, especially the 1975 one. it changes from a slightly cringy pop rock song to pleasant pop rock background music.

I thought I was the only Christfag here. Are either of you Christian? I'm not really churchgoer but I'm a believer. I actually read this thing everyday. It's been with me since I was a kid and I've somehow managed not to lose it like everything else from my childhood.
 >>/5435/
> >Are either of you Christian
Yes, Jesus Christ is Lord :)

> >It's been with me since I was a kid
Same, when little I read His word before bed (or bugs bunny).

Proverbs and Psalms are good to read some verses each day.
I assure you both that my name is not Chris and both my arms are of proportional length to my body.
 >>/5437/
Neat. My grandpa was a devout Baptist. He made sure we were in church every Wednesday and Sunday regardless of what my mom wanted. It had mixed results with me as I came to dislike church a lot as I got older but that didn't turn me away from the faith. I was never going to be one of those faggy atheist kids at school. If reading the Bible was good enough for Patton, it's good enough for me. He was homeschooled with it. Bugs Bunny is where I got the name Laughing Boy from.
 >>/5439/
Of course it's KJV. I don't do any of that new age christfag crap. I'm a southern Baptist. You forgot to open a tab for /mlp/. She will never be yours. Twilight Sparkle is an imaginary horse. Would it even matter if she was real? Don't make fun of my imaginary friends and I won't make fun of yours. Go find yourself a real womyn. Some even look like horse like Ana Kasparian and Sarah Jessica Parker.

I've always liked this song, but I posted this cover because I like all the zebra stripe. I want a pet zebra. They bark like dogs so I'm going to train mine to bark at joggers that tresspass onto my property. I'm going to yell Yipes! Stripes! and just sit back on my porch with my qt wife and chew Fruit Stripe gum as a doctor, an engineer and a scientist run for their life from what they tell the police afterward was a Pokémon.

Now you're confusing me? Is that your post because I thought it belonged to an actual software developer. I thought you always namefagged your posts Seabee? I thought the NAVY was about Honor, Courage, and Commitment?
 >>/5444/
You must feel very insecure if you thought my intention was to impress Ashley with that post. I'm surprised as anon up top that someone else here is possibly Christian. You all seem like Godless heathens in discord posting all that faggotry in nsfw which you conveniently removed when Ashley started posting again. I come from a Baptist and Methodist family. I don't have to pretend. This Bible was awarded to me for memorizing Bible verses in Sunday school back in the third grade when I was in the Royal Ambassadors. It's basically Boy Scouts at church and like Boy Scouts, it was ruined at our church by a pedophile. Our Sunday school teacher was a pedophile and had groomed some boy. I didn't even know about this until years later when I asked my grandma what had happened to our Sunday school teacher? He was in the choir one Sunday as usual and disappeared and I never saw him again and no one ever announced he was leaving as they usually did when someone moved or started going to another church. My grandma told me he molested some kid. I recently found out who it was and yeah, that kid was a little too flamboyant throughout high school and he's full blown gay working at 2nd & Charles now. So keep an eye on your kids. This wasn't some megachurch either. It's a small town church with maybe 100 members at most. One of the biggest reasons why I hate going to church is because of how conniving and two-faced everyone was to me and my family. Lots of catty church ladies and snide whispers. I've never been a fan of cliques.

the most you've ever had to do with a bible is swearing on one while defending in a restraining order case, the only scripture you've ever memorized is Ezekiel 23:20, and the only thing more nsfw than the nsfw channel on the discord which is unfortunately still completely intact is your wallpaper folder. you need to repent for being a lying faggot.

I've never had to swear on the Bible before. I have no criminal record and I've never been called to the witness stand. I've never had a restraining order put on me. I've had a friend I previously attempted to date come forward and apologize to me for treating me so unfairly in the past. We haven't been friends in nearly a decade. She's about the closest I've ever come to a restraining order but she was literally doing everything to me and at the time I couldn't figure out why she was treating me that way because she was never like that before. We had been friends since elementary school and she approached me about dating. I made the mistake of telling her I liked her back. Things didn't work out but I never expected her to not want to have anything to do with me ever again. I never struck her, threatened her or even became angry with her. Nothing I did was ever good enough for her and I couldn't meet her expectations at the time. I just felt like she abandoned me and I never meant anything to her. Our previous friendship felt like a lie. It made me not ever even want to attempt to be in a relationship with anyone ever again. It's bad enough when you already have a skewed view on marriage because of your parents divorce and their behavior afterwards but it's even harder on you when someone close to you hurts you like that and also it being your first ever relationship so you're incredibly naive. I didn't recognize that verse until I looked it up and I have heard that one before, lol. NSFW in the discord has been cleaned out and some anon have deleted their previous account or deleted their old posts. I remember all the gay porn you Rosefags used to post daily. It's why I only lurked the server for the longest just incase one of you faggots got news on Ashley. Some of it is still there if you scroll up far enough. I only have one image in my wallpaper folder that's not a default and it's my current desktop background. I don't keep porn saved to my computer. Only incels do that. I am repenting. I've had a lot of unfortunate things happen to me these past two years. So after someone tried to murder me with a knife in my home one evening, I began looking for answers and finally did what my grandpa once did when he thought he was going to die after I found my old Bible on this abandoned property of mine I haven't lived in since 2012. So I opened my Bible and immediately saw the verse Jeremiah 32:23. It struck me but I disregarded it and thought to myself I'm going to need a better sign than that. Then I was struck by lightning the next day after I was awoken by the rain while sleeping on the couch there and had walked out onto my back steps to wash my face since I had no running water. No one believes me. You don't have to believe me. I'm not trying prove anything to anyone. It means something to me and that's all that matters. After reading on it further, you can actually be struck by lighting and survive without a scratch on you although it's extremely unlikely. It's like being shot and the bullet impacts something in your pocket instead of killing you. Maybe I was standing in the right spot? Maybe it was meant to only put the fear of God back in me? Odysseus had to be reminded as well. Now quit making me post textwalls. You're not gonna troll me by making me mad.
 >>/5445/
I reiterate, I namefag religiously; software developer? I'm just about skilled enough to turn on a computer(and I don't mean saying,"I love you computer")

I became confused because you always seem to go off on a tangent talking about Twilight Sparkle, imaginary friends, pet zebras and dogs barking. If that's your routine, well it is pretty funny and I surely wish I could rise to your level of humor.

As far as my 4 year enlistment in the Navy Seabees I'll just say I served with honor.

Peace Out

the only apology you're owed is from your doctor for not diagnosing anti-psychotics, the only person who ever abused you is your gigolo when you forgot the safeword, the only thing you've repented for is banging that crackwhore who gave you aids, the only property you own is a double-wide, the only person who's ever stabbed you is a guy at your favorite club, with his dick, and the only natural disaster that ever struck you was your birth.

Seabee, I just want you to know that I wrote you a really nasty post. It was worse than that review I left on Yelp that got me a visit from the FBI. I decided against posting it because I had a moment of clarity and realized you were just confused like our commander in chief and I was raised to respect my elders. But Ashley sitting here next to me has also read it and she says it makes her so hot and bothered that I have to post it. So I look her in the eyes and I tell her, "Now see here woman, take hold of yourself. You're my soon to be wife in the eyes of God and you will submit to your husband and accept his decision on the matter. Seabee is a nice guy and he never dindu nuffin'." And you know what she says to me? She says to me, "Well, I ain't already your wife. Maybe I'll just message Seabee behind your back since he's a real man like my step brothers." And I says to her, "What's that supposed to mean? I thought you said your step brothers were dweebs?" Then she stormed off without answering me. So Seabee, if Ashley contacts you, I fully expect you to do the honorable thing and send that brazen little hussy back to her husband*.

If the Ash does contact me behind your back do you really think I'd send her back to you? My mom always tells me to share but Ashley is in my no share zone.

You think you're cool because you got a "visit" from the FBI. I could tell you about the visits I got from the FBI but if I did I'd have to kill you so you can see I do have a modicum of respect for you, why I don't know.

I didn't know there was a song about Kaitlin? I'm not exactly a metalhead into -core genres. I do post plenty of other music I enjoy. Perhaps if you actually listen to these songs, you will understand. They are musically genius and lyrically fascinating. I'm also a fan of progressive rock, some progressive metal and neoclassical metal. Recent posts in threads usually inspire my choice in music here. I was actually inspired by Ashley to post these. >>/5796/ Do you play guitar?
