Concept: Structured topic rooms with infinite branching. Each topic can have subtopics which again can have subtopics etc...

Thank you for your valuable feedback earlier, much of which has been incorporated into the current iteration:

- Post truly anonymous, no login is required. Posting behind proxies such as tor and even without js is allowed.
- Post text, images, short video and even voice chat.
- No tracking, No data collection and No routing through cloudflare tracking.

Try it out, and let me know what you think. Post away or make a topic of interest. Any feedback is highly appreciated and will likely be implemented.

Sounds sus unless you will moderate it for CP content, you should get a team to stop that shit, its been a bane of many alt-chans to succumb to being cp bombed.

Zero login, full anon, Tor-ready? That’s good, I like that part of it
No Cloudflare? good.
No tracking? I’ll believe it when I don’t see 10 DNS calls in uBlock.
Sounds like you actually get it.
No rules, no IDs, no leash.
Still gotta see if it holds under schizoposting and /b/-tier spam but concept?
Based. Ruthlessly based.

endchan is prob the only site that lets me upload avif images and serves them as is without converting them to jpegs (thumbnails are broken but still), can you support avif too?

 >>/64991/
> cloudflare
it's partly kikeflared but i could post without letting my browser connect to CF so whatever
> no rules
this is impossible, there are always rules

Seems like we all have the same idea. Maybe us anons can really make our own site one day and team up to moderate it or something I don’t fuggin know

Thanks guys, much appreciated!

avif is supported. Have you experienced any problems?

 >>/65394/
No. Absolutely no cloudflare routing. I use the site myself:p

It's a site I always wanted to exist so I and a couple of friends built it. Building and maintaining it is a serious amount of work. Do you want to get involved? You are more than welcome, the more the merrier.

When you try downloading an avif image off depvana it gets the jpeg extension instead of the standard (.avif) using ungoogled-chromium (Firefox based Librewolf didn't have this problem). It also shows up as a jpeg in the response headers. These made me think the site didn't support the format at all.

Anyway, if you ever get tired of how Facebook, Reddit and Discord run their platforms, just let us know.

Thank you, I see what you mean now. I initially thought people just wanted to upload in any format. Storing all images in a single format does offer significant performance benefits. That said, implementing a 'Download in original format' option is definitely possible. Just help me understand the need. What advantages does AVIF have over JPEG in this context?

 >>/69049/
Awesome thanks. Like all new sites, traffic is still low. But if people enjoy it and enough pioneers are willing to be early adopters, I believe we have a real shot at breaking free from the grip of today's tech monopolies.

As for color themes, there are three options: light, medium, and dark. You can find the theme switcher at the top of the homepage or in the dropdown menu in the header.

I'm not a web developer but with my limited understanding about it can asume lower file sizes translate to a more responsive site and lower bandwidth usage.
AVIF offers higher quality at the same BPP allowing much lower file sizes for the same quality as the corresponding jpeg. Can easily switch and mix colortags to maintain color accuracy, afaik this is not possible with jpeg (which is essential for high quality screenshots of video and photography in general). Also supports transparency and animation.

Good point. I'm not an expert on image file formats either, but I can see how color accuracy could be important to people.

Currently, the uploaded image is stored in its original format. However, when downloading, the browser assigns a default .jpeg extension to the file. You can still manually save it with the correct extension to retain an identical version of the original image.

This isn't an ideal solution, but it's a temporary workaround until we implement a better approach. Unfortunately, browser options for controlling file extensions during download are quite limited, but we will find a way, cheers.

As do all really good threads here. Wish the YT thread was still up, it had some really good channel links but spammers slid it out of existence with their mental retardation.

Bump them 1-2 times a week and they'll stay up. Remake the threads if they die out

e-girl simp threads too. They're so many of them here.

Maybe we can find an archive for it? Let's just do the YT thread again then.
