The Israeli porn spammers, have already started appearing here. The internet used to be better. I’m kinda glad 4chan is offline. Things in IRL need attention if you see what’s happening these days.

More rumor has it Hiroyuki will bring the site back up after some major changes. Too much has changed: culturally, technologically, financially.
In short, not everything, not every board, is coming back. Basically, he's seen the light and the alt-chans can carry the load of deadwood.
I have no info beyond that, no idea what's being considered to be cut, or what stays. I'd suspect the more content creative stuff will stay while the culture wars boards will go.

Only things they should require email for is for non-image file uploads. (Gif, PDF and WEBM files) and for regular posting such as images JPG and PNG you can upload those and post regularly so there's less traceable abuse from certain psy-op groups so they can be easily banned and trashed for it.

They should keep or merge Anime/Manga, Japanese Culture should stay, /V/ should stay, /VG/ should stay the other /V/ boards should just merge with either one, just some ideas. The LGBT/Furry/MLP etc boards should be lumped to an /alt/ board to keep the degens in one place, they can shit post between each other, mostly just the same audience with each anyway. It would make the moderation of boards smoother anyway.

some people are saying it might never return which would be really sad because i genuinely cant think of a replacement for a board like /x/

it was pretty much the pnly reason i used 4chan since every other imageboards /x/ is dead and has at best like 1 post every 3 months
