I made a new collection of games from my dad and also my games, its pretty small for new, but contains new and "old" games. Rate it out of 10 if you'd like, and I wonder if you guys have any comments on how to organize the cds and/or how to make the game cds not fall over when opening the place they're in. Thanks!
Nice start. I have a decent collection (not huge only my favorites) of PS2, PS3 and PS4 games. I also collect a ton of DVDs. CDs and records too. I no longer collect tape cassettes or VHS due to the amount of tapes I've had to throw away over the years. Magnetic tapes do not last forever, they often go bad after 10 or so years.

One thing to keep in mind is having offline digital backups of media is important too. 8TB to 22TB external drives are expensive but they can store a TON of digital media long term and as long as you have two other separate copied drives your media collection should last you a lifetime as long as you keep making contingency backups if one drive happens to fail or stop working. I make it a habit to buy one large external harddrive every single year and I stock them away for future use when need be. If one or two of my current offline drives fail or get corrupted I can take an emergency backup copy and throw all the media onto another external storage drive. Movies, documentaries, tv shows, music, music videos, youtube videos, DIY tutorials, survival guides, you name it I store it. Plus, if you buy a kickass Zidoo media player you can plug and play an offline external harddrive right to your TV, they are compatible up to 16TB drives.

Vinyl records, 8 tracks, audio cassettes and CDs. VHS, Betamax, CEDs and DVDs. Would be cool to find more all-in-one media players. Best options for audio are Crosley multi-media players but I don't think any take the 8 track tapes. There are also VCR DVD combo players and I have a Sony VHS/DVD combo player but there are no such thing as Betamax multi-media players. Some company should come out with a universal all-in-one player for every single popular audio and video media format of the past 60 years, that would be dope!

> how to make the game cds not fall over when opening the place they're in

i played 2000 hours of factorio, i was born to answer this.

i just found out how this is called what you are looking for: lever style bookend.

in it's most basic form it is just a small piece of thin metal with one right angle bend into. you could easily bend one yourself if you are lucky and find a piece of metal that has an acceptable dimensions.

you place one side underneath the cds, gravity is pulling them down thus applying force to hold the metal piece in place. then the other side keeps the discs from tipping over, using their own weight against them.

similar principle to the belt loops holding up the belt in place while the belt is holding the pants in place.

the one in the picture is fancy, i have simple ones from thin metal that was painted white.
