Both are toxic, no doubt, but if I am forced to cope with one or another, I'm always going to choose booze. Unless, that is, I get my hands on sedatives like barbiturates or benzos, I'm open to substituting booze when I can because it is so toxic. Fuck taking toxic shit like SSRIs that do fuck nothing to make you feel better by the way. If you are going to poison yourself at least have a reason to do so, to feel good.

Back in the day, there was ONE sole reason you took medication and that was the same reason people always drank booze: to temporarily feel good.

Now days tons of idiots are taking toxic low-grade pseudo-meds like SSRIs that don't make them feel good, hell even worse, dumbing down their brain so much they can't even think right.

If you are going to take drugs stick with booze, or the real stuff. Stop being sissies. Fuck this fake and gay medical establishment.

Hemp derived weed is available pretty much everywhere and it's a much better alternative to booze, and a much MUCH better alternative to that psych med bullshit. I despise my dad's side of the family so much for being a bunch of weaklings that rely on that bullshit to drown out their real emotions.

The only problem I have with smoking weed is that, if you do it everyday for many years straight the THC builds up in your system and can cause legit schizophrenia just like doing too much acid or other hard substance. Not everyone experiences this but many do and have to quite smoking the stuff. I do agree it is a lot better than booze and psyche meds though.

> can cause legit schizophrenia

i have heard this repeated many times but never by anyone who has even the slightest clue on how a human psychologically actually splits personality and why; even though i agree with not overdoing it generally consider it bullshit. all this talk about schizophrenia i don't see related to weed, people get schizophrenia because the related unconsciousness serves a utilitarian purpose in the life of the person.

a personality splits when a person is in denial about a reality and does not have the freedom to build distance to the reality, thus is forced to experience it even though intends to deny it. if you have to work with someone you hate and you are trapped in working conditions so non-consensual that you can not find a way not to work with that person than a normal person will invent a pretend personality to deal with the asshole.

Again THC build-up does not effect everyone the same way. There are heavy smokers that have used for decades and just get a lot dumber and fatter over the years. A certain percentage get intolerance from too much THC and it can really mess with their minds and drive them into internal panic and paranoia. Honestly I think benzos would be better for those types of people who do start to experience schizophrenia. The problem is doctors no longer prescribe that to just anyone (like they used to back in the day). Now days any kind of sedative, no matter how mild, is overly fucking regulated, and doctors often discourage use of benzos or refuse to prescribe them. I was once willing to stop drinking and I wanted something to reduce the withdrawals and help me sleep for example. Doctor declined, so I told her I won't put down the bottle unless I have something to reduce the withdrawals and fix my insomnia. Her response? Basically didn't care, keep drinking, "fuck you" attitude. It pissed me off, so I no longer visit that doctor anymore. So yah, even if you have real problems anything that is worth a damn is basically out of reach for most people. SO you got weed, you got booze or you have to get something else illegally now, that's the options you have in this shithole third world "healthcare" system. They basically doom you to die, they don't care.

thc is like a curious friend. it asks questions that you prefer not to answer because it wants you to be honest. when you are normality based mental gymnastics while you are involved in evil employment, the thc is gonna demand to have a word with you. that's all it is. the reaosn this does not effect me the same way is because i don't commit the fatal mistake of living a lie.

i am in love with myself and when i consume weed it feels like a warm hug from nature. like personal encouragement from the gods "hey i know everything looks like shit but keep going, luck will continue to be in your favor, no need to lose hope just because everything sucks."

I'll be honest and say only the very worst people of society deserve such treatment, like mass murderers, serial rapists, arsonists who have destroyed lives and livelihoods, assholes who brazenly commit treason against their own populations too (some politicians would definitely fit this category). It should only be reserved for the worst of the worst inhumane treacherous bastards.

> If it works for you that's good. For me unfortunately, it's either booze or sedatives.

what else are your mental health efforts, tell me i will respond in good faith only.

i think the biggest mistake people do in mental health is not consider themselves the ultimate authority and try to fix themselves through their own experimentation. don't let yourself be seduced by typical group behavior and hoping for some expert to fix you, you have to be the expert!

I don't see mental health to be a problem with me. That is the whole irony of it all, why do people equate drug addiction or alcoholism with insanity and mental problems? Is it really so "insane" being able to just fucking enjoy yourself intoxicated? I like it that way. In many ways I need it, it helps me cope and be a better person. I can be a real asshole when sober too long. I do not see anything wrong with a dude who needs to drink to relax, or someone who pops some "sleeping pills" to rest. Why is that a bad thing? What does that have to do with mental health?

Back when America really cared about personal responsibility, consumer choice, the free market, individual freedom, "the good 'ol days", you could buy cocaine and sedatives legally without a doctor prescription. In the 1950s they started to restrict it to a required doctor prescription although the ability to get drugs was still very lax and easy, most doctors wrote them out to anyone requesting for whatever silly reasons.

As the decades came and gone shit got a lot more restrictive, bureaucracies took over. Then, by the 1990s, shit started turning into a nanny state. By the late 2000s, forget it, all kinds of drugs are prohibited for all kinds of reasons, no matter you suffer from whatever. Now days? Broken leg? Too bad, go take some Aspirin and shut up useless eater. It is all about CONTROL. As with everything these shitty days of a dying empire.

Eggs, Fish, Turmeric, Yogurt, Ginseng, Kale, Mushrooms, nuts contain things your brain wants. Sugar is toxic. Saturated fats in animal products is toxic. Fructose causes cancer. Alcohol is toxic. Caffeine (only 1 cup or quit). Processed oils in packaged food could be inflammatory by the time you get it.
Vitamin C (250mg or less) will detox you from some metals. CoQ10, creatine, some herbs like Ginseng are probably going to work. People are lazybugs.

I do take a lot of health supplements and vitamins and maintain a keto diet (limit carbs and totally avoid sugar). The only exception to sugar is alcohol, which I require now and then as a functional alcoholic. Yes I have confronted doctors about it being honest with them, willing to stop drinking albeit I'm going to require some form of sedative for the insomnia and withdrawals and none so far are willing to prescribe me what I need to get off the bottle. This 'healthcare' system is absolutely fucking broken. They'd literally rather me drink my liver away then help me get off the bottle by prescribing what the patient needs. Our "healthcare" system ABSOLUTELY SUCKS in modern America. Way too overly-regulated, sticks up all their asses, fear of their own shadows. So far the only thing I can do is try to limit how much I drink at night time, keep a healthy diet, take my vitamins and health supplements and PRAY I don't end up with liver cirrhosis. I can't tell you how much I hate this government, the politicians, the corporations and the institutions they have hijacked.
