That and the fact the game was not solely an action packed shooter unlike the more modern RE games. There were times you could just dodge the zombies instead of wasting more ammo. It also added to the thrill when you first played the game because you did not know which rooms or areas would have zombies. I wish they would make more games like the old RE.

They won't do that since they changed the entire direction of the franchise since Nemesis. And 4 was too profitable for them to ever do the Resident evil games the old way they used to be made.

But still RE7 is a good choice to try since it feels like playing the old RE games

> Great thing about the early RE games was the save game rooms. They gave you a mental break from the action.

Yeah those are always good no matter what RE game you play

I mean, the only reason people like that game is because of the main protagonist. It has its charms but it's pretty buggy.

Here's some backstory and info on that game, and on the game's director, SWERY

> Cool, never heard of it before.
Deadly Premonition received wildly varying critical reviews and holds the Guinness World Record for the most critically polarizing survival horror game. Although the original release had not been commercially successful, Deadly Premonition has garnered a cult following and has been cited as an example of games as art.

Maybe you'll like it. Maybe you wont. Give it a try sometime

I have a friend who has been a big playstation fan for many years. He told me Silent Hill was the most similar game series he could think of. Deadly Premonition sounds interesting from what I have read about it although it does sound very complicated.

If you liked those type of games, you'll definitely like this one, Crow Country.

> Crow Country is a 2024 survival horror game developed and published by SFB Games for PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

> Set in a visual style and design similar to PlayStation 1 horror titles including Resident Evil and Silent Hill, the player is an investigator exploring an abandoned theme park.

> Upon release, Crow Country received generally positive reviews from critics, with praise directed to the game's design evocation of earlier horror games, writing and narrative, and mixed views on the implementation of combat and puzzles.
