So I have inspected my yesterday's flat, it is a clear, very small pinchazo, very typical case. Inflated wheel does blow through the tire though, but there is basically no damage, no catastrophic anything, not spike, glass, derbis protruding, can't even feel the spot under my finger.
Do I just tactically reload the tube and don't worry? (going to do it anyways)
Mind you this is a 2.2" 29 tire, not a road bike tire.

Status update
> new chamois creme arrived, should last a year, it's 250 ml
> two new chains arrived, I now have 4 (four) spare because i didnt realize i already had spare. all bought in deep discount though.
> new tires arrived. I am still not convinced they need replacing though, the wore meter is still clearly visible and the previous pinchazo was most likely an user error
> speaking of user errors, it is possible I used the retard-proof chain wear meter incorrectly, possibly replacing chains before they were actually worn out

> "I want to do well in the Ardennes, and a good GC in the Giro doesn't fit in with that anymore. I did want to go to the Giro, but the team decided otherwise. We then came up with a program where Ayuso will do the Tour de France as leader and I will do the Ardennes Classics. I immediately said: that's what we're going to do. The Ardennes Classics are my favorite races, and since I rode the Amstel Gold Race this year, the decision was easy."

> The press conference then became tense. Skjelmose was then asked if he knew that Ayuso was also going to the Ardennes Classics. "No, not that I know of," he responded, when asked if it was new information for the Dane. "Yes, this is new to me. I can't answer the question of whether he'll help me there, because I haven't been told. I was told I would only be the leader in the Ardennes Classics."

> Finally, Skjelmose is asked about his thoughts on competing with Ayuso in the Ardennes Classics. "It's going to be fun. I think this will be our next conversation with the team," he concludes.

top fucking kek, is there anywhere where they actually like ayuso

It's probably good enough, I probably don't even need a torque wrench, just screw in stuff until you need start using force to move it further.
I can afford Park Tool tax, but it feels a bit dumb to overpay.
I can afford the Specialized tax too, but I am for sure not overpaying for their new bikes.

Meanwhile, first time watching biathlon since a while and I have no idea who half of these people are.
I hope my guy GALICA will pan out and grug these guys very soon.

 >>/55962/
its not even like the park tool gear is high quality artisan tier gear for example their 100€+ wrench comes with +-4% calibration while that wrench comes with a +-3% calibration certificate, I'm fairly certain that all but actual high quality tools are made in china and just rebranded and cycling tools really aren't particularly high quality as far as I can tell

Tomorrow (today) finally a BIG mountain stage arrived to Costa Rica.
You can already smell the a-coming 7C - Economy - Hyundai raid.
Or will it be Team Colono Bikestation? They were beyond sulphurous at the Vuelta a Chiriqui, winning like 9 of 10 stages. Either way, Jexon LEDEZMA, the next big doping scandal, will have to show his A game.

I have no idea how a mountain time trial works, it probably is a shit show, but your SIRIRONNACHAIs, your PIHOUNGYUs, your CHAIYASOMBATs and your CHAWCHIANGKWANGs were found wanting.

I will get something on the wild west too, that History at the OK Corral yt channel sold me on this lore very well.

I've read that besides being "good" it is a bit of a chore to read so it got bumped for "later". It will be like 10 years of "later" now.

For my effort to become a burgerman I have read "Stoner", "Great Gatsby" - these, while good, didn't make me really become a burgerman, "A Prayer for Owen Meany" made me want to, I will be looking for some more comfy New England setting, even if a bit dramatic and from long gone boomer era narrative. These are the most recent, would have to look at me bookshelf in my room in me mom's home because there were a few more bangers.

Currently watching New England - Buffalo, later will watch old man from Indiana in Seattle.

That would be it for burgerisms for today, will have to say kurwa a couple of times and go to sleep with Polish happy face to snap back out of it.

EXTREMELY fun that Pats-Bills game.
Often these "football" games will be an acquired taste which is hard to acquire if you didn't grow up with this sport.
I could probably still enjoy any shitty football game.
But this one is a GREAT advertisement for the sport.

Felt nice to finally be able to ride after the illness. I've switched my position to a memefit with my saddle pushed as far as possible on the 0 degree seatpost and 73.5° seat angle, and I think I'll experiment with flipping forward a 20mm offset seatpost to get even further forward. Currently coupled with a 120mm stem and 100mm reach handlebars, so there's still room to go more forward.

 >>/56222/
what I don't get about The Shipper is that he's using a normal saddle which I assume forces him into that funky seatpost situation but since he only rides aero it would be natural for him to ride a tt saddle which completely eliminates the need for that UNLESS he actually sits on the very nose of this normal saddle already, in that case nevermind.
I ride ism and a setback seatpost and my saddle is still almost all the way back but since you only sit on the frontal 50-60% on the saddle I'm still pretty far forward compared to a normal saddle.

 >>/56227/
No problem. I think the Pros also have the same problem, I don't quite like the top shape either but I haven't found a better version yet. There's the Polymer Sculpture integrated handlebar with 90mm reach and a very nice shape if you have an extra 750€ lying around, hehe

> I felt them approaching and hoped to reach the finish, but then that little hill came. (sigh) It wasn't nice for me or for them that I hindered them a bit. But luckily it didn't affect the race. Afterward, the crowd helped me up.

> Some people thought I'd had a stroke. They asked if I was okay. And then there were also many people who said they knew what it feels like to experience such cramps. That felt good.

kek the Swedish super cramp dude gave an interview, poor lad

> "There were doctors working at Movistar. I find it truly shocking that they didn't discover the problem," says Norsgaard. "What do we even have that system for? While I'm glad cheaters are caught, I'm amazed they can get away with it for so long."

> Norsgaard does, however, have serious doubts about Lazkano's innocence. "I always hope for the best in people, but... Sometimes, when it smells like shit, it is shit. His Classics season was fine, but then came the Dauphiné. It smelled a bit too much there."

holy shit based Dane

 >>/56276/
> Norsgaard – who has since left Movistar for Lidl-Trek – also said he didn't get along very well with Lazkano at Movistar.

> "Oier was an incredibly mysterious guy. He was very intelligent, interested in politics, but at the same time, he was also a bit crazy. After dinner, he would sit in the kitchen for hours drinking wine with the chef. It was quite unusual. I certainly wouldn't call him a friend."

winebert is involved

 >>/56285/
He's saying he loves the team spirit, that he feels at home on the team and can't see himself ride anywhere else. Doesn't sound like he's been looking for better offers elsewhere so I imagine nothing will chance. They'll tell him they back him 100% and then give his captain roles to Ayuso lmao.

 >>/56297/
With intermaché it was anyone who wants to leave can leave, everyone under contract that does not want to leave has to be paid out if they do not want them.
Since the WT license changed hands from jew to swiss jew I assume the same rules apply.
It's just that Gee was the only one good enough to find something better for himself.

Squeaker bros, our only argument just got nullified

The frame comes with two headset covers iirc, one of an integrated bar they also sell and the one which I am using which has holes for internal routing through the headset but works with standard 1 1/8 stems. Here is one reddit post with a picture: https://www.reddit.com/r/gravelcycling/comments/1hnd7hi/nbd_tideace_noah/
I also ordered new headset bearings because some guys on Chinertown said the default ones were not good quality. I bought 2x these: https://www.kugellager-shop.net/mh-p16-ss-45-45-edelstahl-lenkkopf-kugellager-52x40x7mm.html

So I did go for the irish pisswater, but thought just to sip a bit, think about what I needed to think and go home.
And I did, in an hour I barely went through like 100ml, my cigs kept going out because I was barely taking a drag.
But then I decided to go here and there and along the way I have opened don't what portal to stream of consciousness and after another hour I was well beyond half of the bottle, I didn't even look how many cigarettes did I go through.
The morning was rather unpleasant, I did sweat a lot of it out until now.

 >>/56511/
A shop run to cough out all the nasty build up and just slightly punish meself is almost always happening the next day. The long way around of course, Z4 through as many altos on bridges and viaducts I can go through without being a retard going in circles.
And I need to go the gym in 2 hours, can't be going around the place like I want to spit out my lungs.

 >>/56508/
the fork is still 1-1/8", 1-1/2" just refers to the bearing size because all modern bikes route all cables through the headtube alongside the fork so the upper headset bearing has to be a big one like the lower headset bearing since both the fork and all cables go through it

 >>/56550/
I am counting everything, full CHINA of course. Usually I just use my clubs gear but their winter gear is all super loose fitting which is weird because the summer gear is all aero race fit but anyways I bought jersey, cap, gloves and bibs from aliexpress last winter and that was 70ish € in total, overshoes from Rose were like 30€ I think but not sure they no longer sell those. All very good fit and quality, no complaints
 >>/56551/
I've done over 9h even but I don't see why the price tag would be relevant for that kek

 >>/56553/
yes I have no discomfort of any kind but imo discomfort is related to bike fit in some way or bad stability on the bike, clothing doesn't fix that at best it can delay the pain but it doesn't fix the issue

I forgot base layer and socks but I got those as gifts and would probably just use CHYNA otherwise

 >>/56581/
I did just fine akshually, still slightly off on energy and feel like having a nap soon but gymgoing was productive, especially today.
I have this cute highschooler now trying to make sure signals from her are getting to me but she is just too young. Too bad I am not 19 anymore. Sometimes.

> "Yes, you can say that again. They already saw that I had three broken ribs and double pneumonia. I'd fallen down the stairs a few days before. It was trivial. I hadn't felt a thing about the pneumonia. I hadn't even coughed. Never coughed once. But then. Additional tests also showed that I had an abscess on my liver. Then it was completely fucked."

> I stayed there for a month. The abscess was on my liver, but it had nothing to do with my liver. They did an autopsy, and it's perfectly healthy. I can already hear people saying, 'Lefevere, he drinks a lot, blah blah blah.' I have a friend who had the same experience, but on her lungs. They don't know how the abscess got there. It's a bacterium, and it took time to heal.

can't kill the don

 >>/56702/
idk either, it's pretty easy to gauge your fitness so they ought to know that they stand no chance and idk why one would show up to a circuit race if you have no chance of competing for placement or getting paid (I assume they don't get paid). Maybe they just want to experience the atmosphere for once but I can think of better ways to spend vacation kek

 >>/56705/
I don't watch much cx but this seems fine to me, it's interesting enough to see Sweeck win 2nd and witnessing the many trials and tribulations of wout van aert the kwabbed. Genuinely rooting for wout not getting podium

Also I don't think these lapped guys are good enough to race asia tours or any pro races

The final mountain stage in Costa Rica came down to a tight two man sprint between Oses and Granados, won by the race leader. That's two second places in a row for Granados, and the fourth podium finish. Add that to the 2nd place in GC, and he truly is GranaDOS, but still a brave ride by the young Tico.
If nothing unexpected happens, Oses will win for a second year in a row as the race finishes tomorrow.

> "Sometimes I set climbing times that match Lance Armstrong's. That shows that with professional dedication, you can reach a very high level. Of course, the difference between me and the riders who dominate the Tour de France is significant, but I can't accuse anyone. I don't want to sound bitter. Perhaps the riders at the top simply have more talent. That's been the case many times in the history of the sport," said Martin, who himself finished in the top 10 in the Tour twice.

We're in for all-time DIY works this christmas. I bought Nextie carbon wheels for my gravel with integrated dynamo lights, as often here in Finland I might need spike tyres for one week and then normal gravel tyres for the next, I thought it'd be nice to just swap wheels. The original ones have SON dynamo and the new Nextie ones have DT Swiss SP dynamo hub. Now the problem is that the SON one comes with this nice coaxial plug whereas with the DT Swiss one you are supposed to just stick the wires into this hub socket, not optimal and very bad if I want easy swaps for the wheels. So I now bought a female coaxial adapter which I will be soldering into this small wire pigtail which I'll attach to the SP dynamo socket. The last time I ever did any electrical work was in elementary school. My father-in-law will be helping but dunno how it will work in any case.

> He reaffirmed this on Sunday before the start in Koksijde. "I've always said I want to retire in my own country, with the record. There's not much left for me to win in cyclocross. Retiring is certainly an option, but nothing has been decided yet," Van der Poel said. This echoed what he said on Saturday: "With Hulst, it would be great to win the record world title in my own country. I'm not going to keep racing cyclocross forever. There has to be an end at some point. I've always said I want to finish on a high. Both on the road and in cyclocross. Will the World Championships in Hulst be the ultimate farewell ceremony? Who knows." After the World Championships in Hulst on February 1st, there's also the GP Adrie Van Der Poel, in Hoogerheide. But when asked if he wouldn't want to retire there, Van der Poel replied: "If you only finish fifth in Hoogerheide, you still have that aftertaste. You don't retire with a victory." If I become world champion in Hulst, I have the choice to do it there.”

Yeah he is DONE with this shit
