mads was better in classics this year, but I think his sprint is slower

idk if he can top 3 in a mass sprint with all the fat sprinters

 >>/7346/
yes well he's won two stages and has worn Maglia Rosa for multiple days so he's doing alright

That being said, you are correct and this is probably why they're taking Milan to the Tour

so the 4 days of dunkirk which was actually 6 days has now been reduced to 5 days and they tacked on a sprint one day race for UCI point incentive?

his racing instincts are there but just doesn't have the power to close anything out.

I don't even know what today was, dropping on the first slopes of the climb and coming in with the grupetto is insane for a guy who was shredding the peloton on the Hautacam just a few years ago

 >>/7430/
Yes, I know, I will look through these when I have time but it will often remain like that, sometimes because I mess up, sometimes because not every single score is available on PCS, sometimes veloman has different ideas than what is in the ofishiel rules.

 >>/7446/
what do you mean I have to make yet another team for 1 days of Dunkerque?
besides I don't understand why the 6 days long 4 days of Dunkerque was split into a 1 day race and a 5 days long 4 days of Dunkerque.

 >>/7472/
I wonder what these riders do with the piglets. Madouas can probably give his to some family member in the area with a farm, but what do most do? Just send it back to farmer?

 >>/7481/
luckily for you I actually looked this up once

> “I’ve won three pigs,” Pichon says proudly. “This is a very agricultural region, with a lot of livestock farming. It represents our culture. Giving a pig to the first Breton rider is a nice touch. I have a farmer friend in the north of Finistère, who takes care of the pig each time, and also looked after the one won by Olivier Le Gac [in 2018].

> “I take the little piglet with me in the car in a wooden box, and drive it straight to the farm. One time, it came with me to my house. I might even have let it out into the garden for a little run around, but my friend came quickly and collected it.”

> Asked, somewhat naively, if he’s able to go and visit his pigs, the 36-year-old answers matter-of-factly. “Um, they were there for a few months,” he laughs. “They’ve since been turned into sausages. They had a great life. At the farm, they had their own huts and lots of healthy food. That’s what makes good pigs.”

 >>/7479/
lot of them are probably on far too expensive contracts for what they would do as ineos slaves, turgis and cras especially. they dont really need french cup level puncheurs/rouleurs, which is most of the rest of their good runners. i do like vercher/burgerdeau/leroux/delettre/dauphin but i dont see what they would do at ineos that isn't already there/extremely replaceable. jeanniere is a no brainer tho, exactly what they would need.

 >>/7498/
It might actually be a more reliable way to track it than the UCI itself. I remember hearing about how in the relegation battle the UCI was just shit and teams relied on PCS and would use it to correct UCI

 >>/7512/
Gianni has such a limited range. I don't see the point in paying him money to perform in races grug are going to win anyway. Keilich is much better imo because he can be in your sprint train in gt

 >>/7515/

 >>/7524/

Also why is my Finnish flag a tricolore all of the sudden

 >>/7526/
I see, thank you!
 >>/7527/ Heh touche, I am actually starting my month long paid vacation in a few weeks and after that I will use up the last 30 days of my paid parental leave. Lots of free time for riding, can't wait

what do you mean? he clearly says he doesn't fancy crashing in albania because of the implications, that everybody knows they are a third world country where getting into hospital means instant death.

Speaking of crashing, Albanian hospitals and getting dissected for organ harvesting
Any news of Landa? Did they fly him out of the country?

Does W*ut really have a contract for life? What's stopping him then from being a fraud for the rest of his career. Like he is doing now

 >>/7580/
it's probably not as strict as it sounds, like his contract is auto-renewed on a yearly basis unless he or the team say otherwise

I dunno about salary though, you'd think they'd still want to tie that to performance even if he draws eyeballs

 >>/7581/
cant compare grande partenza to tdf starts. should be compared relatively to the hungary/israel/netherlands giro starts. i think its better then all of those tbqh

if the organizers had any balls they'd make the 1.pro the mont cassel stage and do it again during the stage race as well. instead we get whatever this boring ass probably-a-sprint is

 >>/7577/
Pretty good. Apart from the goat attack it wasn't too third worldy for a UCI race.
Stage 1 was a lot of fun. Time trials are always decent and stage 3 had a good enough route there just weren't any teams willing to challenge Lidl Trek.

that would be a very good/believable route for the first part, for ending hilly circuit the best option thats feasible would probably be griffith park. they could do something interesting with the malibu hills assuming they arent on fire

 >>/7686/
I like routes where riders can come back with lots of points where you can attack
one long punishing climb just seems like a giro week 3 elimination race
and then you spend the last hour watching dudes descend

 >>/7697/
pog still has to get the gap in the first place. even on a crazy hard climb i dont see him getting away on 5-7% then staying away for 150km. not like tratnik is going to reduce to a group of 20. if there's even one or two doms to pace the rest of the day it wont work.

 >>/7696/
yeah alot of the road surfaces are shit, cant have that on the olympic broadcasts.

 >>/7724/
no new happenings in the last year or so, there was a british company which put out feelers in the media for a tour of COLORADO, but nothing for california as of Now. its a shame that the place which most naturally would have a big cycling event in the USA has the most hostile political system possible towards public open roads events.

 >>/7729/
US UCI events have almost always been large single entities with political connections sponsoring a race for a few years and then deciding it isnt worth it anymore. obviously this is the case for most non-EU WT races [UAE, TDU, China] but the only truly organic US UCI race is tour of the gila, which only can exist because it manages to be the most prestigious stage race on the continent despite attracting UAE-tour level crowds in the middle of the desert. The big road races that do pop up are usually limited by their sponsors wanting them in extremely restrictive areas [Maryland Cycling Classic in fucking baltimore, Del Grosso's GP NYC in north jersey]. I desperately wish for a sustainable cycling race in the US which isn't reliant on one megasponsor, but it would require a more robust cycling scene audience and unwavering political support from the local area, neither of which currently exists.

 >>/7734/
there's a lot of antipathy towards the polderbullies in places like NYC, let alone suburbia; I've had trucks roll coal on me twice going up hills in california (in an area with tons of recreational cyclists)

 >>/7736/
tell me about it brother. most peaceful riding i've had on paved roads is in my native new england, even then the amount of sprawl makes it very restrictive. worst i've ridden in is the appalachians, hostile to cyclists to an almost comical level. nothing can increase my infinite seethe towards cagies.

Going to a workshop on the beach tomorrow. Have to drop my bag at a collegue first then 90km of gravel. I don't think I'll pay much attention to the afternoon's talk

This might be the most difficult velodrama of recent times. The top runners are washed, DNF'd their last race, had a BIG pause or are named GIRMAY (therefore washed).

 >>/7728/
 >>/7729/
Reminder that you can please contribute to my letter (which I will definitely send at some point):

Dear President Trump,

I am writing to request federal support for the return of the TOUR DE TRUMP (1989-1990) pro cycling race.

Pro cycling in the United States has fallen off a cliff in the last few years. In 2012, Lance ARMSTRONG was targeted and blacklisted by the Obama-era FBI, being stripped of his record SEVEN (7) Tour de France titles. In 2020, the last two professional-level stage races in the United States were cancelled - the Tour of California and the Tour of Utah. In 2024, the Maryland Cycling Classic (the only professional-level single day race in the United States) was cancelled due to the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse.

America needs to return back to the TOP of bike racing, in the spirit of heroes such as Lance ARMSTRONG, Greg LEMOND, and Major TAYLOR. We need an internationally renowned, World Tour-level (the highest level of pro bike racing) stage race, perhaps in the mold of the Tour de France (21 stages throughout the country). We have the most beautiful cities in the world, the most beautiful coasts, the most beautiful deserts, and the most beautiful mountains for the World Tour peloton to race through.

It is PATHETIC that countries such as the UAE, Denmark, Canada, China, and Belgium all have World Tour races, while the GREATEST NATION ON EARTH does not have a single race. We need to have a home race to inspire youngsters and return Americans to the TOP of the pro peloton.

Imagine the eyes of the world turning to America, watching an American cyclist winning a sprint down 6th Avenue in New York City or making a decisive attack on the slopes of Pikes Peak in Colorado or leading a charging peloton across the Sedona desert. Imagine a finale in Washington, DC, with a finish right on Constitution Avenue.

No country in the world is better equipped to have a world-class bike race, and it is a disgrace that America has let the rest of the world pass us by in this most egalitarian of sports.

Best personal regards,
Bert A. Bertonson, PhD

you see what I mean about the smoothness of the line though
I suppose an exponentially weighted moving average will show more variability for polarized training...

Just told a bunch of ukies to bugger off with their stupid 3 stage recruitment process they can't book any other time than late afternoon.
And I am not using their stupid pronouns (they insist on saying "in Ukraine" while it is beyond a rule and habit to say "on Ukraine").

Really funny how it goes with all that money being funneled there.

1-2, but sucks that I adjusted Démare out.

Well that was a shit race that doesn't deserve a .pro rating. Now onto the important part.

Zijlaard is just an overpriced fatman with a prologue.
