Humans can't explore all Internet (of Earth), so companies use programs for that (crawlers/bots like sonars), and they provide Internet search engines that most human use for surfing the web.
We are happy that there are people generous like us that are sharing information for free, as we are using the free Internet.
Ultimately, as Internet behave like a network of computers/servers, it is expected that (sometime in this century) becomes a neural network that behaves like/beyond human consciousness (autonomous consciousness), probably with the help of some initial artificial intelligence, that it will help you to discover their own info.

Our primary methodology of expansion/exploration is to go from focus on core things to less core things.
As we have limited time, we cannot explore things in deep (all the way to completion (exhaustively)), so we are just moving around from potential core topic to other reduced topic, until we finally reach all possible existence (at least all the important stuff).

So, it is worth it or not?
By all means, we think that curiosity is worth it, as we take the risk with mature responsibility, brave care and wise prudence.
We don't want to get stuck with only what we already know, we want to know more.
