Decline is relative.
It's about the acceptance of the new order. US was the hegemon, but not anymore. Still the strongest of all, but not the sole ruler of the world. The elites started to accept that and they needed a new administration which could fit the US into this new reality.
I think this is why there weren't any real demonstrations and upheaval following Trump's election. Those who control the media did not fan the flames to make those happen.

Heard an interesting take about this peace talks. That those are the winners who sit at the table, namely Russia and the US of A.
Why? Because the US has nothing to do with the war. Sure they sent money and supply, initiated sanctions, closed down Swift and whatever. But they aren't a belligerent party.
Muscling in to the peace talks, and make it their own matter, taking the initiative is a show of force, and proves to her clients that they can't do shit without Washington's says so.
And an unrelated party dictating the peace makes it a winner.
And now they'll cash in. The war did not cost them actually that much, but will reap the benefits at usury rates.

Yes the US is in a decline.
Trump has to raise tariffs to force foreign investments come to the US (ie if you don't open factories in the US, you have to pay tariffs), because domestic investors just can't put forward enough capital.
Concentrating on the homefront: Canada, Greenland, the Gulf, Mexico and Panama also shows they feel threatened.

I'm not worried about their management tho. My problem is that we'll manage worse.

That's it for energy independence from Russia.

> Beijing could purposefully delay projects, harvest sensitive data and remotely shut down turbines if given access to wind farms.
