ultimately most people just follow the crowd... sturdy was more active than 4chan for a while, but when the casual posters slowly returned to 4chan some sturdy regulars dripped back there too. you can't tell me all these people naturally preferred the 4chan interface even with how bad euro hours would sometimes be on sturdy
