In all seriousness, the only thing worth listening to from that time period is their live recordings. None of their studio output is memorable (besides Cat Food, for the wrong reason). When played live, however, these shit songs are almost as nasty and energetic as the stuff from Red. Pictures Of A City is really something on those old bootlegs.
Their 80s output, if not particularly daring, actually sounds like fucking music. So i r8 them well above the retards that made Happy Family and The Letters.
