> Issue 1

Having some trouble with linebreaks spreading out. Seems to do it sometimes but not others, not sure why.
 >>/cumg/36/ >>/cumg/37/

> Issue 2

Code tags seem to escape into greentext when $ is used.
 >>/cumg/16/ >>/cumg/15/ >>/cumg/19/

> Issue 3

The captcha button has no reload button in the reply pop-up. It doesn't always reload automatically, in turn causing the user the need to refresh the page.
> During the refresh, they may lose their text, however it seems to stay but the file they had attached gets unattached.

> Suggestion 1

Consider wrapping the site with IPFS for archival/resiliency.
https://ipfs.io/

> Suggestion 2

Consider adding support to KurobaEx. The current most popular FOSS image-board app on Android. A fork of Kuroba.
https://github.com/K1rakishou/Kuroba-Experimental/
I know this isn't exactly an Endchan thing, however it would be beneficial to Endchan end users and allowing more people to use it easily on mobile.

I think we missed your post due to the flood.
Those options control how "wide" of a subnet gets banned. Narrow is /24, wide is /16.
Let's say the IP is 12.24.232.198
Then the narrow range is: 12.24.232.0
The wide: 12.24.0.0
Here's wikipee article about the topic:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subnet

 >>/29156/
Thanks, I'll pass it on.

It seems to me the "Scrub media (remove image from site)" option when deleting posts is no longer working correctly. When I delete posts with this option checked the files are no longer removed from the server as they were before and still remain accessible with the direct link to the image. This is a problem.

 >>/29192/
I'm not aware that BOs/BVs could scrub. I thought scrubbing is a global option (since it could effect more than one board.)
Board staff can use the remove media, to remove just the media from the post. This doesn't delete it from the db ofc.

 >>/29193/
I'm pretty sure it used to work even as BO/BV. Because before when I deleted posts with that option checked, the image could no longer be accessed even if someone had the direct link.

 >>/29194/
Maybe we just scrubbed those. We do vet orphans and there's automatic deletion too. Also if it's a cp spam, that posted across the boards, it could happen that you delete on your board, and right after we delete (we always use scrub in those cases) then it could seem you scrubbed.

Something unusual happened on a thread with an attached ID number — something I’ve never seen before. (Given the content, it’s easy to guess which board this bait came from.) Strangely, no ban message appeared embedded in their post, even after attempting to ban them twice. Naturally, Tor produces this result when there are no IDs, but I’ve never encountered it on a post with an ID before. I have no explanation for why this occurred. As it is an anomaly I have never seen since 2017, I thought I should bring the matter to /operate/'s attention.
I understand the issue, I've never seen it either.
I don't know if we can reproduce it - so we can test it and fix it. If it is random occurrence it seems to be very rare.
If you came across it again, let us know first and leave the post up, Odili is needed to check the ban output and see what doesn't work. After you can delete it ofc.

I'm seeing a bug in the login form.
The message says the login was ok, but then no login session is created, and the login is asked again, and again.
It's basically impossible to login currently.

Could you verify if it's an error isolated to my account or if it happens for everyone else?

- nickname and password are correct
- get login ok message
- no login happens
- it's impossible to manage boards like this

Greetings! It's been a while an a half.

Addressing Odilitime: In times past it was good to get your observations, insight, and thoughts on various events across other chans. Especially so, given such experience as a site owner and developer yourself. So, the big news! 4chan? Anything to say?

Addressing other mods, et al.: I know we have a "new" crew here (relative to the old days) handling this board. Thank you for your efforts as well, and a belated welcome. Now, while I really would like to hear from Odilitime, you've been around long enough. So, Admin, what's your thoughts on the 4chan thing?

Thanks guys!

not a lot. It's always a question of when you get hacked not if.

Their source code is a fun read, I can compare that with the rebuild copy I have. Going to take some time.

Almost all vpns are banned for spam. So when endchan is blocked in your country you either use tor (not very convenient) or use IPs from some shitty country with ping 500+ which are not banned yet

hi hungaryball or o'dilly dilly. we're trying to get one of our regular posters to post with us on >>>/bert/ , but he says he's rangebanned site wide on endchan right now. it wasn't one of my bans that I enacted on the board that caused it. he managed to post here just a couple of days earlier before 4chan was back up.

 >>/29125/
We have no active sitewide rangebans.
What's his error message?
There is this thing for example:
https://endchan.org/operate/res/11813.html
He can posts screenshots here if necessary:
https://wrongthink.net/endchan/
If IP is showing on the screenshot, blur/edit that out.

Can anyone give me some more specific answers on what cartoon porn is and isn't allowed here? I own a board and a user while not banned (I think) had an image deleted. I didn't see what it was, but I thought Loli was allowed here? Is there a certain fictional age cutoff for the site of is it just dependent on admin taste? It was cited as "illegal under US Law" implicitly but then you'd think Loli would be banned in it's entirety.

Not to imply they aren't within their right to do that, just would like to know exactly where the line is drawn. I don't want my board to get suddenly deleted because I wasn't deleting posts I was apparently supposed to be.

Okay, thank you for clarifying. I will post this on my board if you don't mind so that the users know better going forward. We'd all been under the assumption it was ostensibly anything goes so as long as it's fictional, so it initially seemed like we'd just gotten on your nerves. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm going to assume that characters who would be teens in-series but could feasibly be interpreted as 18 or older in fanart are fine, since most artists just say they're 18 in the drawings anyways.

Does being logged in affect this at all? I just wanted to say, don't mistake the self identifying sex offender for me, thanks.

> I will post this on my board
Sure. Feel free to link the thread too.
> who would be teens in-series but could feasibly be interpreted as 18 or older in fanart
Not easy to answer that. The key probably is the "childlike characters", which is kinda hard to say in case of drawn characters. Anime is especially bad in this.
One problem is if I try to write here a concrete definition some tard will appear who will push the boundaries and tries to rulelawyer it. Sometimes young looking but 18+ porn actresses are posted in context that implies underage content. Then the troll fake complains for the content was deleted.
Use sensible judgement.

 >>/29111/
That's okay. I reply to posts, not to users. At least the general aim is that, and anonymity should be about this anyway.
