.org is behind CloudFlare and we had to redirect because it helps out with the flood. It is temporary, we are still battling with the spam, and will find a solution.
I suggest using Lokinet, our address is on our home page. It is similar to Tor, but a bit faster. But can be fiddly depending on your tech knowledge.
It can be done via Tor too, and that needs only the Tor browser, but it will probably slower.
 >>/18252/
It seems such difficulty for Board Owners getting into our accounts would cause more spam to fester. Why isn't the feature available on .org?
 >>/18262/
CloudFlare caches agressively and sometimes happens that after login someone else's account is displayed. It is unusable, so can't change things, but can expose email address, if one added it.
Now it's possible to log in on .org. But please be aware the possibility of the aforementioned issue.
 >>/18274/
Thanks. I don't believe I have added any email addresses. That does sound like a problem issue. As long as it's unusable though.

So let me tell you about the recent outage of about 40mins

Hello,

We have created a support case on your behalf.

Subject: [Cybertip.ca Report #XXX] Notice Pertaining to Sexual, Harmful and/or Abusive Material of a Child
Message:

Cybertip.ca is Canada’s national tipline for reporting the online sexual exploitation of children. Cybertip.ca has become aware of content depicted on your service that is sexual, harmful and/or abusive involving a child. A child is defined as a person under the age of 18. We believe the content is abusive and/or harmful to the child in the image, and violates the child’s basic right to dignity, privacy, and safety, rights that are afforded to all children under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The content may also satisfy legal definitions of illegal material in some countries. It is our position that it is not in the best interests of the child(ren) depicted for the content to remain publicly available and we are requesting that you remove it from your service.

To enable you to quickly locate the content that is the subject of this notice Cybertip.ca is providing you with the following information:

(http has been replaced with hxxp to prevent accidental exposure)

We would also like to inform you that the content that is the subject of this notice pertains to a child who is either a victim whose child sexual images or videos that are known to police, or a victim who has been assessed to be under the age of 18 by our analysts who are trained in assessing signs of child development and sexual maturation. In either case, our position is that the content is harmful due to the context or location in which it is being made publicly available.

Should you have any questions regarding this notification, please contact
Cybertip.ca at [email protected].

Thank you for your cooperation.

After a long conversation with Abuse, sounds like we've got them to change their policy when dealing with the Canadian government.

Interesting opinion, given Endchan administration's demonstrated hostility to CP. While there has been some cat and mouse games from CP raiders and suchlike, it all clearly shows Endchan stance. As said, the context of the thread and board show it was not a CP advocacy discussion.
That one post does feel like a drive-by cat and mouse troll though.
I think I'll fall back on my earlier reasoning regarding violent content posting on Endchan. I appreciate Odilitime stance and approach to free speech content. However, Endchan has a lot of other users and content that should be protected over and above one meaningless drive-by post.
 >>/18277/
On the other hand, if he chooses to leave things be, it's probably best not to publicly commit to a course of action until someone pulls that trigger. Meanwhile, he could just point to the site's rules and history of active CP suppression, invite further user discussion, and wait.
 >>/18277/
 >>/18278/
If you don't mind I don't separate my replies.
If our users wish the image deleted we aren't against it. On a quicker chan, on a more active board it was probably already gone.
It is still up, because the aforementioned facts still stand: the photo doesn't depict anything illegal, and the context of the thread and the posts around don't make it suggestive or "obscene". The intent of the poster might have been trolling, but trolling isn't illegal either. We don't promote csam with keeping it up, and if anything with this discussion started we might be able to raise awareness of existing problems.
Great example would be the cp spam Endchan is regularly attacked with - which we never hesitate to remove - , and from what I saw, read it seems other imageboards are effected by it too. I highly doubt any of our users interested in clicking those links, someone still run that spam again and again, for years now.
For now the image remains, the input from users are welcomed, basically any comment about the topic, if it should be taken down and why, or about the contents of the mail ( >>/18268/ yeah, wtf; also >>/18269/ "cp star" wtf), or this organization which sent the mail, etc.
> US Government sends
Cybertip.ca doesn't seem like an institution of the Canadian government, what I can gather from the about pages, it looks like it is run by a private organization (although it is acknowledged and supported by Canadian govt. - so they claim, to what extent, it is not clear from a superficial read).
From us the US Govt. can sleep peacefully, we got their backs covered and do our job. I believe if we aren't quick enough, or a post with actual csam falls through the cracks, and don't get deleted in a significant amount of time, our users will make reports.
That's Masha. Do not image search her. You have to be familiar with CP to know she's involved in CP. Any idea from our Russian bros for what the sign says?
 >>/18279/
> basically any comment about the topic, if it should be taken down and why
My additional concerns are the further identification of what could be the victims name, potential location of the victim, and how to potentially find more content using a resource hosted by this site ( >>/18281/). It is disgusting.

Greetings from VanHilton Media

Is it possible to get rid of the "drawing" and "password" fields? I'd prefer my board not have these. Just Name/Email/Subject/Comment/File(s) and nothing else.
 >>/18271/
You can select these particular elements you want to hide with the :nth-child(x) selector, where the x is the number of the element.
The elements of the form is in the table and the "Password" and "Drawing" fields are in the 5th and 6th table rows, or in the 4th and 5th if you force anonymity via your board's settings (ie. no "Name" field).
Then you can use display: none; css rule to hide elements (there are other options, if you prefer something else you can use that ofc);
Since no other table rows on the page you could use the following:

tr:nth-child(4), tr:nth-child(5) {
  display: none;
}

Or:

tr:nth-child(5), tr:nth-child(6) {
  display: none;
}

Depending on the Name field, as I wrote above. This is important, you don't want to hide captcha accidentally or something.

Last time I tried lokinet the site complained it can't login on http.
So lurking and posting is fine, but not moderating.
Maybe we'll make the new frontend work with lokinet properly.

If you've been paying attention to odili's twitter then you've noticed that we plan to do a "migration." We've sat on our broken database for too damn long and it's preventing the site from crawling out of the hole it's been stuck in since twenty-fucking-seventeen, so we're going to be starting from a clean database and importing stuff on a best-effort basis instead of praying that a hacked-together document extraction script will make everything all better.

You will keep your boards, accounts and banners. These should be the easiest things to dump by hand anyway.

The current plan is that around next week (June 15th) we'll be setting up a "new" instance of lynxchan and keeping the site you're using right now active. This is going to be a recent stable version of lynxchan, so it'll be faster and more stable than what you're using now even before taking into account the DB issues. Stay tuned for further details, but given the amount of archival-grade stuff floating around here I want to avoid the "surprise! that thread you bookmarked is gone" problem if at all possible. There will be advance warning.

Ah. Might have been my end

I've isolated this. If you type the captcha in only in the reply form at the top of the thread and then hit enter while still clicked in that box it will take you to a new page saying either 'post successful, click here to return to thread' or throw a captcha error. Every other method of posting (clicking new reply button in top form, clicking new reply button in quick reply form, hitting enter in new reply form's captcha box) will just post and stay on the thread's page. Minor issue but a strange one.

 >>/11645/
Maybe have a good board concept and audience for it so the board stays active for as long as possible. Inviting people you know to it is a good idea too

> try to make thread

> open captcha in new tab

> wrong answer or expired captcha

> 20 times in a row

> then "500 server error"

FIX YOUR SHIT ODILI
https://2hu-ch.org/

it's the same server as endchan's public address

except it's probably just as alive, oh well.
at least i actually make sure it's working good. mostly.
 >>/10257/
> click reload

I did, 20 times, and it kept saying "wrong answer or expired captcha". that's the issue

> wtf

if you can complete no cookie captcha with javascript disabled in the same tab then post some screenshots and a tutorial

Hallo, please somebody tell me how to DMCA takedown photos / topics with my photo and personal information with me. Whats the email of this server? Email don't respond.
Regarding DMCA requests read this: >>/11517/
The very short version, if we find enough:
- commentary
- criticism
- parody
then it is fair use and we don't delete posts or threads.

I understand the rule is that you're not allowed to post anything that violates US law. What's your stance on discussion of darknet markets here? The main site typically used for this purpose, Dread, is down and there's no sign it's coming back soon. I was thinking of making a /dnm/ board but wanted to check here first to make sure it wasn't just gonna get deleted.
Darknet markets are offsite services unrelated to Endchan. Everyone discusses the merits of various filesharing sites all the time, for example. Talking about offsite services ain't illegal. Offers for purchasing specific services made here directly could be. So, create the board and get on with it. Two things:
1. Don't expect anything discussed to remain secret. If it's discussed here, it's public.
2. Endchan itself is not a darknet market. It wouldn't work as one anyway.
 >>/11527/
Essentially this  >>/11528/
But you might be better of making and maintaining (keep it alive, report posts if they are violating the rules) a thread on /b/ for example. It might get more attention than a board that needs to be shilled to get noticed.
In general one should take into consideration how much demand could be for a certain topic. In my experience - and this only need a look onto the board list - those boards are successful (on our level) which were created by existing communities who essentially moved here.
Also you might wanna expand the subject matter to darknet services, to widen the circle of possible posters.
