Behold, the new daughter thread of /go/, expanding upon:
 >>/9086/
> but a variety of topics are also active points of discussion. From analysis of trends and situations, to self reflection and representation.

...and whatever else may pop up.

This is meant to allow deep dives of particular topics and more niche discussion that may not fully fit in /go/ at times.

Still, keep this under advisement:
> Golden Oaks is not for the simple dissuasion of the latest scandal within the fandom or gossip about X. These subjects maybe relevant at times in the discussion of certain happenings and periods within the fandom, but the thread itself shouldn't dive into drama without reason.
In the new /go/ it was mentioned "this isn't archived"
Which put me in mind of other songs that could exist as a PMV. The song I had in my head because of unrelated nonsense was How Bizarre
But searching for that led me here:

https://yt.drgnz.club/watch?v=TB8VwKm1a0g

Neither TMBG nor 4everfreebrony are all that bizarre, and I don't expect they traded songs at a bazaar with each other either.

Although, maybe they did. In which case OMC and Dashie will have to dance and sing about the pair,
> How bazaar, how bazaar

//No I'm not switching to decaf
< //why would you ask?

But what is "culture"? Definitions are important. From !wt:
> 1. The arts, customs, lifestyles, background and habits that characterize humankind, or a particular society or nation.
> 2. The beliefs, values, behaviour and material objects that constitute a people's way of life.
> 3. The conventional conducts and ideologies of a community; the system comprising the accepted norms and values of a society.

From https://lukesmith.neocities.org/about
> Culture is the set of peculiar and irrational practices that any given group of people practice. For the Sambia tribe of Africa, culture may be fellatio of an older tribesman as a rite of passage for boys, while here, culture is neurotically listening to "local" bands and mutilating male genitals upon birth. Culture was formerly known as the "pursuit of the best of what is thought and said in the world," but now we're to the point where we have to flagellate ourselves in penance for daring to think that any cultural trait could be "better" than any other.
>
> Now there's nothing I could say here about religion that hasn't already been said too many times in YouTube comments, but loosely, religion is the set of cultural beliefs that are most recalcitrant and immune to diffusion. Religion widely entails anthropic consciousnesses governing the universe and afterlifes where everyone's supposed to get what's comin' for them.
>
> The word "politics" describes the social interchanges that are the direct heirs of the simian alpha-male contest. Along with sports and religion, politics is a special place where anyone can come and feel free to abandon reason and orgiastically give into all of their most primal and otherwise derisible tendencies and irrationalities. Here I pretend not to like to write about it.

Here's a cultural artifact (attached): Darth Maul about to behead Twilight Sparkle. Description from webpage:
> [...]"Just hand over the holocrons hoarded in your library, and no one gets hurt."

Hey, I remember you CB anon? talking about this last time I drifted through here. Thanks!

 >>/11237/
The only thing that looks creepy to me is the centaur and even then, I imagine that can be fixed with prompting. Point is he found something that can handle these requests and not spit out bizarre trash.

As for this thread, I would suggest a more slow apporach and handle the threads the topics that were pushed out by archive anon. No offense to that old chap. He is doing a lot of a good but I also think the criticism of his process being a disorganized mess is founded even if I think he should be allowed to continue full speed if not him, who else?

Do you know about Rooster Teeth? I think of it as an important YouTube channel from years ago. I think they still continue to this day. Unfortunate, but I bet a lot of their media or videos got deleted (speculation). Anyways, I didn't know they made comics.

Rooster Teeth webcomic about My Little Pony - can't post the image now, but here's links to it:
