As for this thread, I would suggest a  more slow apporach and handle the threads the topics that were pushed out by archive anon. No offense to that old chap. He is doing a lot of a good but I also think the criticism of his process being a disorganized mess is founded even if I think he should be allowed to continue full speed if not him, who else?

Do you know about Rooster Teeth? I think of it as an important YouTube channel from years ago. I think they still continue to this day. Unfortunate, but I bet a lot of their media or videos got deleted (speculation). Anyways, I didn't know they made comics.

If I am to catalog this thing at all I think it'll be keeping tabs on some of the discussion and maybe trying to give some armchair analysis of certain discourse and trends. Though I am making no promises of completely keeping track of everything and if I go at it alone will probably focus on certain things that interest me over a unified whole ...and the fact that I have a hard time with unspoiled free for alls that some boards are. Pictured above is the first thread on /nhnb/ on 4chan after it went down. Note that it was made during a previous incident in 2023 that I had forgotten about. This images are large, clunky and uneven. I would like to automate this process but was having problems getting selenium up and running. Spend half a day tinkering with it but I might just go back to puppeteer on nodejs (which I have minor experience with though it's been YEARS). Let's see if this images are too large in scale.

Still working on this but have had hardly time to test things so I don't make any promises! Thinking of trying Pyppeteer (python port of puppeteer which I have some experience as I mentioned. Probably a bit late to the party though, lol, at this point, but the idea still interests me.

Need to study sometime the culture dynamics of our fandom and 9/11 meaning. The 9/11 joke has become a pastime of the modern internet, I guess an safe way to be irreverent towards something, but what has always surprised is the slow influx of random 9/11 tribute images that seem to varying degrees, unironic and sincere I don't know is this is a unique thing in our fandom or something common among some certain demographic (kids in their sincerity? some group of late 20s and 30 years old with some memory lingering of the event and it's effects?). Usually it's an edit or art of a poorer skill level and often involving OCs.

Anyone have any archives or backups of the friendshipismagic.org forums? I saw a Facebook post where an admin brought it back in 2023 after it died in 2017 or whatever, but it didn't seem like anyone backed it up. I was one of the first ten or so users, became a mod there, and eventually got to be an admin  at FiM.org for a time since I was longtime online friends with Leighton Ward, the creator/owner of FiM. We came up with FiM.org while we were all shitposting on the RSBuddy and Powerbot runescape botting forums back in 2010-2011. We were all spamming 4shit with ponies after the first episodes of FiM were released, and we were also simultaneously posting ponies on the RSBuddy forums, until the admins started threatening to ban us. So Leighton Ward asked if we'd be down to have our own website to shitpost on. I forgot most of the other original members except DDrgn, Ian, and AnonKun or something like that. Leighton checked and said "holy shit friendshipismagic.org is available" and we all chipped in and he bought the domain ASAP. I think I resigned after leighton became way less active in like 2013-2014 and managing all that shit was ass. The forums notoriously had constant downtime because leighton was the only one with the access and payment info for the domain and forum software subscription. Also, there were founding  users like 7x from rsbuddy, with the same username on FiM.org, who randomly ragequit the fandom and started spamming all the boards with porn and gore nonstop with his faggot online friends. Now that I look back,  he likely was one of the earliest members of the utubeTrollPolice underage trolling group that is now notorious for spamming CSAM and  gore, with some members abusing children irl. There was also some other cringe drama with early members who weren't part of our rsbuddy shitposting Skype clique like this one guy named Jason/Jace, who split off after 6-12 months and started either everypony or some other MLP FiM forum I can't remember the name of. He took the Brony Fandom way too seriously and took a big chunk of FiM users with him, causing a big dent in ad revenue that was all going to paying for the forum's expenses and the dedicated Google play store app we were developing. Anyway, I'd be glad to recover any sort of info, forum posts, user profile pages, etc. My old laptop took a hammer to it and I lost all screenshots and history  from FiM.org

I don't have full backups, but I do have something mildly odd I noticed from that domain a couple of years ago (or more). I'll see if I can find the screencaps I took. Not that it's very useful. I'll also check and see if any torrents were made and are still online.

This was an independent news website that I struggled to find for years and only recently rediscovered, remembering erroneously as "Discord Daily". Unfortunately a lot of the comments were lost but it did have it's own community. Only relevance here was that it merged with the Friendship is Magic Forums and the topic is a personal interest to me as well.

The chest looks just a little over-muscled, but the movements seem on-model.

I found them!

As I said, not super interesting, but odd. I was checking on that domain in late 2022/early 2023, It had been online at one point earlier but when in the insistence picture here friendshipismagic.org leads to a non-configured/broken site with a folder titled "hazbin". Clicking around (I don't recall the details) I found it both listed as Hazbin under the freindshipismagic.org domain and was redirected to a hazbinhotel.org. My speculation is that the owner was toying with starting a fan forum for Hazbin Hotel and abandoned. I found the Hazbin Hotel domain archived, but the site is just in the same state pictured above:

I don't think we have a thread dedicated to horror. Closest I guess would be /night/ and dormant pony thread. More than welcome to make one if you wish (though the imagedump thread also may fit that purpose).

A lot of attempts anthropomorphize (or sexualize for that matter) just have an uncanny valley for me. Don't know why it is so strong. Some of is distaste but there is something else there. Not always consistent either. Still, my taste is not any rule and you may post your freakishly lipped horses freely.
