You are. Check the date of latest posts. The board was periodically active, with some light chat. There was another mlp board too, with some traffic. Probably same dudes.
If you are willing to bring some life into it and gets some people to post, you could claim the board.

Not Odilitime.

> OdiliTime (code maintenence / sysadmin)
> Shiban (hotpocket)

The only one that is openly declared as an admin is Odilitime. Hotpocket stands as the equivalent of moderator (remember to post ponies as soon as he abandons the thread and doesn't see them in the front-page)

This is why we can't have nice things.

However, one of you is a brony. I know this because there have been several posts around here for years from your team so don't deny to me that at least one of you is a passive brony or spends some free time on this board.

 >>/8803/
Job descriptions in the FAQ and role signatures (the hierarchy of globals on lynxchen/infinitynow - should be in the faq too, or maybe this is in the moderation manual) are too different things.
> one of you is a brony
I don't know anything about this.
> have been several posts around here for years from your team
What type of posts? Because I'm posting here right now, does not make me a brony (or posting on other boards doesn't make me a fan of the topic, or liek I'm posting on polru doesn't make me Russian...). Are there liek fan posts with role signature? Perhaps it was BO posting. Board staff also has their own role signatures.

Gonna link him the thread.

I had checked out the FAQ before that reply. The only person who is openly declared as an admin is Odilitime. False advertising at its finest, I had quite a few illusions to interact with the relatively popular idol around here.

However, now that AI exists, I am starting to wonder how many of you are actual machines.

> What type of posts?

There have been several posts on different generals (I think NMAiE was the most frequent for your team).

> or liek I'm posting on polru doesn't make me Russian...

Nationality doesn´t equal to hobbies/ways of spending your free time. There is a huge difference: you cannot pick where your respawn actually is and said birth is registered. That process is natural and happens unwillingly. However, dedicating your free time on a hobby is a personal choice that is actually done willingly. That´s not a fair analogy for defending yourself here.

> Are there like fan posts with role signature?

well, not necessarily but over here, there are so few posters that you can identify them by their tastes or style of posting. I haven´t posted for this entire years save for a couple of exceptions and yet, more than anon might predict who I am because of that factor alone.

> Perhaps it was BO posting. Board staff also has their own role signatures.

Bridgefag doesn´t need introductions though. By the way, despite his role as a Board Owner, he is not named as the Board Owner. That acronym goes to a Polish anon who also handled /flutter/ back in 2018-19.

> Gonna link him the thread.

Personally speaking, it would be a dream come true if Odilitime happened to post on /endpone/. Even without interacting with us, he is still popular for..."""reasons"""...

Woah woah woah, I am sick a few days and I see ADMIN and /pone/ back on the frontpage (not a hard feat I know, but less often with the level of activity of other boards).

 >>/8799/
> There was another mlp board too, with some traffic. Probably same dudes.

If you are willing to bring some life into it and gets some people to post, you could claim the board.
/mlp/ I had claimed that board being a testbed/me just monitoring just because. Though I admit, outside of one project I haven't really done much more than check for spam there and test random CSS. I remember it being a point that passive boards weren't against the rules but I haven't checked stuff out much outside of /endpone/ in awhile.

 >>/8800/
 >>/8803/
I have always suspected it as well that one of them was.

Though, come to think of it, that the period attention we have gotten in the in the past was probably triggered by the fact we were on endchan and active in it's great low point, thus on their radar. Becoming part of this mess is just a side effect that can happen from high enough radioactive dosage.

Howdy. No, you aren't the only one but this board is something on the slow side, as has been said:
> There are several beings who pass through, but none actually live here -- they just post periodically.

I will only add that we have something of our own culture as well. Some anons like it and stay in lose orbit forever and some anons don't.

> Bridgefag doesn´t need introductions though. By the way, despite his role as a Board Owner, he is not named as the Board Owner. That acronym goes to a Polish anon who also handled /flutter/ back in 2018-19.

Hence why some are confused when we refer to BO in found memories in past tense.

> well, not necessarily but over here, there are so few posters that you can identify them by their tastes or style of posting. I haven´t posted for this entire years save for a couple of exceptions and yet, more than anon might predict who I am because of that factor alone.

Indeed, the reason why our culture exists in the first place, ain't that right L23?

Our almighty lord of Endchan isn´t here though. We are only left with admins that pretend to have his actual role.

I expected nothing and I am still disappointed. I have held this disappointment towards the site for years so, it´s not like this comes out as a surprise to me.

You should. I mean, you have quite a few pending replies to deliver though. So, it seems that quite a lot of hunger has sprung up because of the presence of """Admins""" around here.

The honor that goes to the greatest oldfag of /endpone/ that is still present. I do genuinely wonder what Tournavis´ reaction would be if he happened to see the board in this state.

And that´s why we praise Odilitime so much, kids. Honorary brony doing favours for reaching the top of the ranking on the board list!

They don´t know about /endpone/´s lore. They haven´t dared to go that deep in the meta iceberg of this board.

More historians and less moderation. If we relied on moderation, Bridgefag would spend the same amount of years as Celestia´s age before banning someone around here. That or using the spammers as the alarm clock.

> spoiler text

I knew about him. I think that he died around 2021. I burned him, left his corpse in the middle of nowhere so he wouldn´t be found and in the end, I took his place.

You might be talking to his clone. So yeah, maybe I can be tagged with his name instead. Because...you know, it´s just to keep the board with a familiar environment in the public eye.

I don't know, but I imagine it would be at least somewhat humorous. You never know when posting something random might leave a certain impact by chance.

> I have held this disappointment towards the site for years so, it´s not like this comes out as a surprise to me.

LOL. One thing I can say, it is still up and has outlasted 8chan. Even if bumpy at times.

> The stage of denial always happens.

I think some people can be in a sorts of lose orbit, never joined, but more than a outsider as well. Though that is a whole other discussion. Like certain admins and mods who have to moderate pony boards on non-pony sites at times.

> They haven´t dared to go that deep in the meta iceberg of this board.

And the scary thing is, we could make a half decent Iceberg at least!

> That or using the spammers as the alarm clock.

At least I actually clean spam. That one reason why this board doesn't count as dead even when slow.

> I knew about him. I think that he died around 2021. I burned him, left his corpse in the middle of nowhere so he wouldn´t be found and in the end, I took his place.
Pretty familiar. Similar enough. I'll take it.

8kun still exists but one must say that we have seen some victims along the way.

That would be a great idea,I must admit.

Well, technically I count as dead by default. So,I have half of that statement correct.

I guess that octopus can be accepted as a companion animal...boredom does pretty nasty things to people.

Zombies can become sources of contagiousness and I don't think that his pseudo numerical name provokes any sort of laughter.

CB here, pointing out that 8kun does indeed exist.
And hey, according to some the whole internet is dead, so our slow, shambling postrate is nothing to sneeze at. Especially considering the observation that zombies are contagious, so no sneezing.

how are you doing over there? Have you had any problems? Are you still fixing the mess related to the wasteland in terms of pictures?

> And hey, according to some the whole internet is dead

depends on who you ask. 4chan is already 20 years old (it´s celebrating its anniversary today) so, for the people who were used to that internet age, time really flies, especially in this medium in which everything gets old and loses its luster incredibly soon.

> so our slow, shambling postrate is nothing to sneeze at. Especially considering the observation that zombies are contagious, so no sneezing.

well, I have been through COVID three times thus far. I guess that you would have a genuine reason to be worried about.

I mean contiuing to watch the series after I stopped or reading/playing fan work. The main appeal was Diane's jokes and I laughter at maybe all of them, but they weren't consistent enough. This kind of inconsistent reward is addictive in the moment, but after putting it down I don't feel like watching it for the chance of more. I'm sure others liked that part of the show most as much as me, though.

The images that are uploaded now, seem to be staying.

> 4chan is already 20 years old
No, the theory I'm referring to is nearly, or more old already, and someone, probably on four or eight chan said they had records going back some years spurred by odd patterns of repetition that seemed more about proving there were still people here than actual topics of discussion.

In short, the internet didn't die when Trump was elected, the bots were scaled WAY back, so that the resulting view of the dead internet left much less of a question about how much discussion was actually just computers simulating discussion with each other.

 >>/8825/
> but after putting it down I don't feel like watching it for the chance of more.
Lots of stuff is like that. I go back because it's a shared world, and high-magic, and low-humans. Which is an aspect that's odd to hang on to because I have zero friends that want to roleplay or swap writing or anything with me, let alone about ponies.
I would be allowed in one or two DnD groups but only if I play as a run-of-the-mill human wizard. No gnoll sorcerer or kitsune dragon's-disciple at their' table.

Everything was still ponified, though so I think the joke is on them.

Probably not the best example. I was coming from the view of 8kun as a clone or undead zombie of 8chan. There is still a light burning ever so on 8/pone and I view that as a continuity for sure.

> Well, technically I count as dead by default. So,I have half of that statement correct.

And though Tor posting is inconsistent, is way more functional than the state of totally not working at all. So, the light burns there, a bit more brightly than before (I mean this for 8/pone/, still have a more negative opinion on most of that site now but at least it is more out of the way).

> I go back because it's a shared world

I find why I go back/stay around is hard to describe at times. I appreciate the series on its own and sometimes will rewatch episodes in the vein of looking at it at a new perspective and diving deep into it (like, ahem, a certain anon does here: >>/6757/). Other times I will be more engaged with fanfics and setting itself. I get the appeal you describe here though.

> I have zero friends that want to roleplay or swap writing or anything with me, let alone about ponies.

Yeah, you've said that before.
It's always been about participation for me. I like Diane when she's making jokes for the audience, because those are the most forceful in asking for a response. When she doesn't do it like in Party of One she loses what makes her good.
I wonder what MLP would look like with Ultima IV's story structure. Just a random thought, it feels like there could be a connection between the two. At least, reading a book feels like a goal appropriate to Twilight.

Pinkie Pie is best when she is Pinkie Pie in other words. I never found her fully flanderized as badly as some did, but they did sometimes forget her character at points. More often later on. There is a certain balance between silly, carefree, and weird, versus random, stupid, and crazy. A line that most can't even walk but Pinkie Pie was one the best that at least tried to stay in the former compared to many IPs now in our hyper internet desensitize era.

> Ultima IV

That actually sounds like a interesting idea.

I like this articulation. IF that wording makes any sense. I know some people hate the forthwall jokes and her "goofiness" but it really is like how anon above put it:
> There is a certain balance between silly, carefree, and weird, versus random, stupid, and crazy. A line that most can't even walk but Pinkie Pie was one the best that at least tried to stay in the former compared to many IPs now in our hyper internet desensitize era.

ALbeit, I didn't mind Pinkie Pie in Party of One, but I can understand not liking that enough.

 >>/8835/
> /flutter/ certainly seems like a mysterious bunch

It is personal context and memes stored up over time. To be fair, Even /endpone/ anons can seem a bit cryptic at times. I do not know all the politics that was going on there and I ain't gonna pry too deeply over it.

> I think you should never give up at BO turning up again.

Yes, I haven't given up the idea that if he is still out there he might one day pop his head around here and say "hi" anyway.

Especially if you read between the lines a little...
 What do you mean?

 >>/8838/
> It is personal context and memes stored up over time. To be fair, Even /endpone/ anons can seem a bit cryptic at times.

I agree that /endpone/ has a touch of that. I guess it is what happens when close knit groups of anons stay together for a long time.

A /flutter/ anon once made a pretty similar observation.

> Southerner detected.

Yeah, Texan (which some would dispute being part of the south, but close enough). I don't have the "Texas Twang" too strong but certainly lexicon and expressions. Albeit, ain't, ain't always was a southern thing. Nowadays, some of them certainly have spread... for better or worse.

> In a board as tiny as /flutter/, what are the chances that, >>/8291/, is confused or if the BO of /flutter/ might be the same guy?

That is what I have considered. Albeit something that will probably remain unconfirmed unless I dig around or one of the anons in question shows up. Have toyed with that but also never wanted to pry too far.
