I'm going to use this new thread to post some DIY cooking recipes I've found on Youtube.

All of these dishes I've tried myself, and yum! I'll be adding more over time as I try them out.

Feel free to post any DIY cooking recipes you like (videos or on text if you prefer it that way).

I prefer this without the onion, and replacing the cream with white wine, but that's just my own taste.

I like to use this sauce to spread over a couple chicken breasts. Very delicious!

I have a good recipe for a smoothie:

Take a blender and add:
2 1/2 cups of milk (whole milk or half and half)
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
4 scoops peanut butter
1 banana
1 cup organic chocolate

Mix it up real well for about a minute or two. It will come out real thick. Very refreshing and your kids will love it! (You might want to refrigerate the smoothie for 15 minutes to make sure its cold before serving!)

I'm about ready to cook this recipe today, very excited. I do not have the tarragon unfortunately, but I have everything else ready to go. I'll be using my own broth which I used to pressure cook beef tongue last week. Should be good.

Me and my family all wish you a Merry Christmas!

I have decided to pressure cook a chicken today but I want some mushroom sauce to go with the tender meat, so I think my family found just what I was looking for on Youtube!

This recipe for mushroom sauce looks delicious and by golly I'm going to try it. My family picked this one for me, and I agree, this is the one!

Note that I'll be making about 4x the amount of sauce for a full chicken, this recipe in the video was only meant for one dish.

Today I feel like making chicken, with creamy garlic mushrooms to spread over the chicken when cooked! This looks like a wonderful recipe, can't wait to try it!

[If you want to use this as a sauce as I surely will, just add a bit more cream cheese, more olive oil and some whipped cream to this recipe.]

I decided to make my own beef curry recipe today, I got the idea from a "tender Indian masala" curry recipe.

I will post the video for the original recipe, but to note my recipe is a little different because I must substitute some ingredients. I have also decided to use beef broth instead of water, because I have a lot of beef stock saved up and refrigerated!

Here is my own Beef Curry Recipe & Instructions (if you dare attempt to taste mine):

Heat pan with a half cup of extra virgin olive oil and add the following:
★ add a tablespoon crushed cinamin
★ add a couple dried chili peppers
★ add a tablespoon cumin seed
★ add a tablespoon of mustard seed (black mustard seed if you have it)
★ add some fresh chopped ginger
Let this heat up and stir it for 5 minutes!
★ add beef and let it cook a few minutes, keep stiring
★ add a cup of beef broth and stir very well
Let this broth cook down and mostly evaporate, it will turn into a boiling cream!
★ add some curry paste (or fresh curry leaves if you happen to have them)
★ add more chopped ginger and minced garlic
★ add chopped onion
★ add some powdered tumeric, cumin and coriander
★ add some chili powder
Stir this all up very well!
★ add some fresh sliced tomatoes
★ add a half cup of beef broth and stir very well
Cover the pan for about 5 minutes.
Stir it up and serve!

So I bought another pound of beef this week and tonight (or tomorrow night) I plan on making a Chinese ginger beef recipe that I found on Youtube. Unlike the last beef recipe I posted (which turned out absolutely delicious) this recipe is much easier for average people to cook. You won't need savvy cooking skills or too many ingredients to follow this one:

I had to travel to the store this weekend in order to get some of these ingredients as this is another oriental dish. I have not cooked this yet but plan to very soon. Some of these ingredients may be difficult to find, so I have decided to leave out the masala powder. With all the other delicious ingredients I in this chicken dish I highly doubt it would be needed.

This looks like a fine Indian dish! I had this once before at an Indian restaurant a few years ago. I do not have all the ingredients for this dish (I lack the masala powder and tamarind juice which should not be a problem). Overall this dish (at least the one I had at the restaurant) was very delicious and I will attempt to cook it for the first time. Wish me luck!

I am cooking some steak tonight and thought I might cook some diane sauce with it. It may be a simple recipe but it is delicious and full of flavor! (Skip the first a minute and a half of this video to avoid the advertisement.)
