He had to start slowing down at guys night. They were gonna be the death of him
Lincoln slumped down and sighed into his coffee at the table as he was greeted by a hot Saturday morning. His head throbbed as he barely recognized the usually rude greeting of his daughter Lupa.
"Sup drunk middle aged old guy," Lupa perked. "how's it hangin."
"Ugh, go to your room, your grounded for... something, you did something I'm gonna regret today."
Lupa continued to teasingly swarm around the half hungover Lincoln as she held a few tablets of Tylenol and rub his back.
"Aww and after I came down this morning to help you with your headache?" Lupa said teasingly holding the keys to his relief. "But since I'm grounded already..how about you tell me how much fun it was pretending you were still young for a night."
"Well..umm"
......
"Alright ladies first round of drinks is on me!" Lincoln shouted as he and friends grabbed a table.
Rusty eagerly guzzled down the first of many beers as he sighed. "God I needed this, you would not believe the week I've had, who knew teaching piano and running a suit store would be this..rough."
"I guess you could say you're not..Suited..for it." Zach replied.
Liam quickly interjected. "Ha you think that's bad, try working 11 hours on a farm all day and get back to me."
Clyde followed with his own woes."It beats arguing and disciplining kids all day, by the way Linc I'm gonna need you to come in for Lupa...again."
Lincoln hastily changed the subject. "Guys guys guys, remember it's Friday we're not here to argue about the week, we're here to get..LOADED!!"
"Yea! Wooaa!!"
2 hours and many drinks later.
"Lemme up on that bull goddammit, I been riding and rustling all my life I can handle a mechanical one!" Liam yelled to the staff dj and game conductor
"Hey there little lady," Lincoln hazily swayed to another patron. "how bout me you and your friends over there come back to our...wait, Cleo!?..Is that you?!"
"W-What..n-no."
Lincoln could hardly hear as he barely saw Cleo run to another table and out the door with her friends.
He shook his eyes. "...Weird.." He swore he saw his friends daughters. He thought he saw Lyra too. Then he walked back to his friends with a beer "..Anyways. Hey Dj, C'mon if there's anyone who can ride a bull here its my buddy here!"
"Hello, you still here, you're not gonna puke or anything are ya?" Lupa said snapping his attention from his hazed memory and back to her.
"I...I remember now. Lincoln replied.
Lupa began. "Good. Now maybe you can tell me what hap-
"Wh-what was Lyra doing there yesterday. And -agh my head, and what did you do at school yes-yester- "
"Here's the Tylenol you need Dad, gotta go..yeah later." Lupa said as she quickly left the kitchen.
Lincoln gulped the coffee down with his Tylenol. After he remembered he had a house of kids to rope up.
And after he remembered..he had to start slowing down at guys nights. They were gonna be the death of him.
