It wasn't, the difference makes all the world. In different universes, anything could be different. While the Louds might be incestuous in this verse, the ones in the other aren't, because it's fundamentally different people who just resemble each other by being quantum neighbors (as Lemy states in chapter 13). That was the justification that safeLinc repeats in his head when he has to fight off his incestuous desires, that he and and his sisters wouldn't be capable of doing the same things that the sinLouds do, because they're not horrible, evil, perverse degenerates (SafeLinc's words btw). the fact it's timelines and not universes means it's a different expression of choice of what was once one shared reality. Since the sinLouds were capable of incest, it means that it's possible for the safeLouds as well, since they are literally the same people, just expressed differently through their different choices they made along the way. That's why safeLinc freaked out so much, since it made him realize that everything he saw in the sinLouds was a possibility in him and his sisters.

You only think that because we didn't get enough time to spend with them in the safeverse, since the wounds in sinLincs heart were so gashed to heal. It created a sense of mystery as to how the safeLouds fell apart and a want to dive deeper into it.

Chapter 8, Cat's Corner. Summary, he views the original WS as being a deconstruction of the sinkids à la watchman, but Cat is not interested in deconstruction. The namesake of his version of the story, "All-Star" is in reference to the All-Star Superman comic run, which is what he is going for but in the sinkids verse. As he describes, "The penultimate superman (sinkids) story, that covers all of his (their) themes, tropes and traits and gives the best beginning and 'end' of a superman (sinkids) timeline. That's the goal I'm for with my writing. I want to try and tell the best encapsulation of a 'Sinkids' story, through the framework of 'Without Sin'." You can read the full version in chapter 8.
