You typically have the best chance doing so in your early years, at school. If you fucked those years up your going to find it even harder to make friends.

To be fair, there is a trick that can work to make new friends and some lonely recluses do if they become desperate enough to try. Research alcoholism and learn all about it. Then pretend to have an alcoholism problem and start attending an AA meeting. There will be a few of those reforming alcoholics who will absolutely be obsessed trying to help and encourage you to stop drinking. They often make it their life mission to befriend random anons who have problems drinking and it makes them feel better the more they can help reform others.
Idk i dont even have friends, just online. But well, try find people that have the same interests that you have, maybe.. include yourself more, idk imao i just hope you make good friends. People are so shitty that sometimes is better being alone.
The friends I have today are all from grade school and high school years, plus one long time co-worker. If you don't socialize IRL you usually don't make friends IRL.

The trouble you have in later years as you get older is you won't see your friends as often. I'll be seeing some over the 4th of July again, but most of them I only see once or twice if lucky per year. The reason that is is because everyone is busy with their own lives, has their own family, their own work and mortgages and such. When you get older time passes faster and you won't be finding time together to hang out or party as much. So even if you have friends IRL, you still socialize much more often over the internet.
