Hi, I'm asking for a loan or donation of 1699.16€ or $1930. I would pay you back around €100 per month and most times far more than that, especially if I get re-employed later (I'm a programmer) in which case I can pay the whole sum within two months.

dongdicks9000@hotmail.com is my contact email and Paypal.

I've tried most everything so far, asking relatives, Paypal Credit... I can't get a loan from banks either.

It's for pic related laptop ordered directly from Lenovo. Why? Well Amazon or eBay I won't try because I keep reading horror reviews of wrong specs etc, and they're used machines anyway. I do heavy multimedia projects most of the time, not just programming.

I don't take "get a job" seriously because I've sent about 800 applications and my resume doesn't even suck. Right now it just sucks to look for jobs, things started getting crazy in like 2023. I have degrees and experience from two fields. Obviously if I got a job after relentless looking, I wouldn't have created the thread

 >>/77091/
Instead of coming up with a shitty programmer story just post your face and timestamp, even partially covered to prove your identity, on websites like 4chan or here, say you're homeless and need some money because you're food deprived or whatever. Easiest 100 bucks of your life

 >>/77091/
> I've sent about 800 applications

800 aplications the fuck? are there even 800 companies where you live? that's an awfully large number....

did you upload your resume as pdf file and then re-enter it in their shitty website 800 times? that seems like something that would take weeks to accomplish.

last time i did this i looked at hundreds of companies and then applied for 5, had 2 companies invite me, they hated me, i hated them, fuck this prison i was unfortunate to be born in. money was a mistake. now i have a part-time job where i work 1-2 days a week for like 5 hours and make so little money that all i can afford is food from the discount supermarket and rent for my 1room appartment-cell. my plan is to move to africa because i can do my job from there (for 2-3 more years) and the rent is cheaper and so is food.

 >>/77415/
No it's because most places want 5 years of experience, that's a stupid arbitrary cutoff. Someone with 4 or 3 years can't get a job. I've seen people post proof they've sent 2000 applications, I'm not gonna do that.

Anyway about the computer, I'm saving for a desktop pc. It'll take almost a year but that's my only option.

 >>/77475/
> Anyway about the computer, I'm saving for a desktop pc. It'll take almost a year but that's my only option.

what about an older computer? you can find them for cheap. the effort you have to conjure to get a expensive modern one is not worth it.

imagine someone stealing your computer that you worked a year for. that means they stole a year from you. that's too much.

 >>/77541/
> imagine someone stealing your computer
There's this thing called insurance. If all I did was masturbate to dumb videos like you, I wouldn't need to save for a more expensive computer, so that means I do and will be doing something that requires a powerful pc

> There's this thing called insurance.

yeah and you are too young to know that they turn against you the moment you need them because that is how they get rich. you think anyone works at an insurance because this was their childhood dream? these aren't passionate people looking to help a fellow human out, they want you to pay subscription and never need them. you are a fool for trusting them to remain friendly when it is their turn to pay. you think they will just pay up and not launch a criminal investigation into you because the most likely person to lose the laptop is you. it is so much better to just use old hardware instead of having to baby your expensive components.

> If all I did was masturbate to dumb videos like you, I wouldn't need to save for a more expensive computer

yeah i don't think you do. you just want everything new and shiny because the pretty people in the youtube video smiled while the company logo appeared. you wanting this new computer is vanity, that is you being a consumer victim looking to favorably influence your social status by displaying expensive modern technology; believing it implies that you are successful.

> so that means I do and will be doing something that requires a powerful pc

yeah or you just say it because you are ashamed of being consumer victim and always wanting the latest shit. this is why i think this habit of lying to children that there is a santa clauss is idiotic because those children then turn into idiots like you are one.

Here is what I would do if I were OP. I'd go to a local computer shop and pick out a refurbished Dell PC that is reasonably priced, have them upgrade the RAM with 64GB DDR4. I would wipe Windows 11 and burn a bootable ISO with Obscura OS, or some other debloated preactived modern Windows bootleg, or a Linux distro if you prefer that instead. Then you have a gamer PC that can handle pretty much all modern games and/or local open source AI with the total expense around $1,000. Otherwise, if you are not into intense gaming or local AI there is no need to spend that kind of money.

 >>/77596/
lol this much cope and vitriol on every point.
Also you don't make any kind of content so you wouldn't know what kind of components you would need at minimum for that kind of thing.

 >>/77597/
Now, this guy knows a bit more.

From Linux distros I was thinking Ubuntu Studio or if I come to the conclusion that it'll have too much things I'm not gonna need, then Ubuntu Mint or something. If I don't go with Linux then I'm gonna install Windows and airgap it completely from the internet

 >>/77603/

> lol this much cope and vitriol on every point.
you are just uncomfortable with me pointing out how distant and inexperienced you are in actually doing things.

> Also you don't make any kind of content so you wouldn't know what kind of components you would need at minimum for that kind of thing.

just you accepting the term content is the corruption having the hand stuck so far up your ass that it uses your lips to talk like a sock puppet.

HNGGG I NEED LATEST HARDWARE TO MAKE MY CONTENT SO I CAN BE LIKE MR BEAST!
> you can just start with low resolution you know? 360p is still a lot of p.
NO SHUT UP I HATE YOU, I NEED THE LATEST LAPTOP

you don't need to make high resolution,

Nice, you keep spinning the same broken record because you have no arguments you faggot.
Alright, it's easy to shit on you by just taking a couple screenshots and I don't expect you to recognize 5% of the things you're looking at.

Second bunch of icons from the top is for music creation which I've done for over two decades.
Those are only a couple things I use and the sample library sizes and VST counts you can see on other screenshots. Those are bound to increase in size especially when it comes to audio samples, so a 4TB SSD will be needed. 32GB of RAM is _minimum_ for smooth DAW operation but 64 is better. Those 87 + 77 VSTs aren't all I have since some of them reside in other folders. Some of them are instruments that themselves use libraries that are hundreds of gigabytes big, and use considerable computing power. Sononym and UVR for example are neither VSTs nor DAWs but they're really shitty to use on a weak computer.

Third bunch is for programming which I've done since last decade. It's not usually power-demanding but it is exceendingly so if you wanna e.g. use good device emulators. I have programmed on a 200€ laptop and it's hell on earth. Fourth bunch includes Premiere Pro which isn't the only video editing program I use. Goes without saying that smooth video creation demands RAM and graphics card power and footage files can be big.

Moreover, I haven't gamed for ages, but I'm positive I will.

Lastly, since you know so little, there's this thing called futureproofing. For what I do daily, a 2500€ pc is barely "good enough", but it's not really good enough especially if one wants a futureproof machine.

I've looked at everything from 200€ refurbished laptops to 10000€ desktop PCs and considered everything; building a ~3400€ PC is the best choice. YOUR recommendation is to get a shitty laptop because you can't conceive of doing anything else than watch porn and post on imageboards. And apparently watch Mr Beast.

If you intend to pretend to know what you're talking about in the next post, don't bother, I'll just keep shitting on you.

I have a "music laptop" with Ubuntu Studio and I have a massive music collection on it, it is airgapped, wifi was removed because I have no use for it and that only makes the computer susceptible to hackers. I use a lightweight music player called Audacious, it's very similar to Foobar2000 except it's for Linux. The laptop is hooked up to an 80s amplifier with surround sound speakers. We often drink cocktails and listen to music when relatives and family visit, everything from 50s Doo Wop to 70s rock n roll to hell, 80s metal and a little of everything in between. It's a nice setup and Ubuntu Studio works very well with all kinds of media formats and devices.

If you want something for AI or gaming I would recommend a preactivated bootleg of Windows 10 because most modern software works well with Windows 10. Plus most the bootlegs remove unnecessary bothersome Microslop crapware. No need to update it either, pretty much everything will work well.

> Nice, you keep spinning the same broken record because you have no arguments you faggot.

bitch this is not a debate. i am not arguing with you, i am talking down to you for being a fool. i think you are stupid for not trying to do things in 360p first genuinely...

... and at the same time i want you to make your dream come true and have the stupid thing even though it is above your means. exhaust your means first and then see where you are is what i am saying.

is a complicated feeling you wouldn't understand.

 >>/77686/
> Alright, it's easy to shit on you by just taking a couple screenshots and I don't expect you to recognize 5% of the things you're looking at.

oh lawd proprietary computing. what a nightmare. not only am i opposed to it ideologically, i imagine it to be hell to install all these programs and then having to baby them when they bother you with updates, licenses and meanwhile your operating system treats you somewhere in between a child and a criminal and tries to collect data about you. looking at your desktop is making me feel dirty all over.

but i still love you. you are a beautiful flower and i hope you start blooming soon.

my 15 year old laptop makes beautiful videos in 360p in 60fps using shotcut or kdenlive i don't even know what you are talking bout.

don't be using adobe products, they are complete irresponsible greedy assholes. and when it comes to professional-level audio productions i hope you are not too busy to check out the dude called unfa, he makes audio production turorials using free open source like ardour.

Americans think praising tyranny means that they will be safe from the police state, but no one is safe in a police state. Even dictators can be toppled.

I didn't say it was a debate I'm saying you have no idea what you're saying

You mentioned Ardour, I'm aware of it, it comes with Ubuntu Studio afaik, but Reaper is also free. And dude nobody is watching 360p videos in 2026. Or rather, nobody makes them anymore. On my current laptop when I make videos they're HD or larger, doesn't demand much power to use the cutter tool, but even the processing of short morph cut transitions takes a while and it just becomes a mess

 >>/77745/
> toppled
They tried killing their wannabe dictator three times and missed and failed

 >>/77746/
> You mentioned Ardour, I'm aware of it, it comes with Ubuntu Studio afaik

it's open source (not free technically as in they would like you to pay for it but you can use it without paying too the same way grayjay does it) and you can just install it on the linux distro of your choice via package manager and should it not exist or function in the built-in package manager, you can also install it with the flatpak method. you can use ubuntu studio, it will be miles better then the proprietary trash you are currently running but technically you don't have to settle for something so noob-ish. if you feel up to it, the dude called unfa makes tutorial videos on which he installs and tweaks everything he uses for music production on more basic versions of linux. not only is this nice to learn about linux, it is learning linux to do a similar thing then you trying to accomplish so it is more tailored to your reality 💪

when you come from windows you are looking for something that contains everything but the longer you use linux, you will likely want to have something that is just tailored to exactly what you need and nothing more and nothing less. if something is missing from your installation, you just copy and paste one command in the terminal and then you have it installed seconds later.

> , but Reaper is also free.

this one i have not heard about but since it is not open source i don't bother with it. proprietary software i consider a stain because a free machine without that crap runs so nice.

> And dude nobody is watching 360p videos in 2026.

yeah very few people watch low quality that i like to make because they are spoiled consumers. not only do i not have the required hardware, i also don't have unlimited mobile internet so i could upload them when i am not at home; which would tether me to being a house-dweller. i guess you consider being watched by many people important so you are trying to maximize viewership, which is enough for me not to bother with a creator. you can't taint your art by changing it so more people like it. you have to create to the best of your ability with what you have and who cares if nobody watches, that's my approach😅

> Or rather, nobody makes them anymore. On my current laptop when I make videos they're HD or larger, doesn't demand much power to use the cutter tool, but even the processing of short morph cut transitions takes a while and it just becomes a mess

if it is really just raw editing power you are missing, would it (i guess assuming you have fast internet to enable the transfer of large files) not be possible for you to pay like a tiny monthly fee to rent time on a fast computer that can do the editing you want? yeah not ideal but i can see no reason for this not to be possible. this probably exists.
