well, I have a clue (more or less) of where you are coming from. My guesses are that you hate the constant nazi shitposting and you tend more towards either the liberal (in the European sense), libertarian or conservative/republican who considers the nazi worshiping as something that would come from edgy teenagers. I am taking a guess though.

while this board doesn´t rely on trips all that much in the first place (not to mention that one doesn´t need them for a small board of this kind), this board has used them for several relevant thread over the last two years. 
I am leaving it at that and then, you judge the whole thing according to your tastes/preferences or whatever. I´ll let you a bit of time to think about it.

in 2018, when 8chan shut down because of a trial that the owner won but had to rename it in order to appear on the web again. /8pone/ lost a lot of activity because of those months without any access for that board.

Howdy, I am the BO of /endpone/. So, you're looking at a place that is pre politicized chan culture? I cannot tell you where /endpone/ fits in on the chart of what you like versus what you don't like but I can describe the culture to you and let you decide how it sounds.

/endpone/, despite its small size, does have something of a board culture that arose from a variety of influences organically. Conversations are often long and a bit marinading jumping from topic to topic in a handful of threads. At one point our ranks were as small as 2 posters, so you would end up talking about whatever, including personal life. The practice has been for any regulars that come by end up becoming know by a name or at least a nickname that is given to them by another poster because in this environment we are no collective and the conversations are individualized. Yet it was decided that trip/namefaging would still be banned and unlike Ponychan we still focus on MLP quite a lot. I dislike Ponychan's culture myself but I don't know if that would feel too Ponychanish for you. 

/endpone/ doesn't not have a strong political affiliation (maybe right leaning but not extreme if I go by the opinions) but it is only discussed sometimes. Politics is enough everywhere else so we often avoid it here. 

I don't know what your notion of a pure board culture is otherwise. That could mean a thousand different things. I could see us as coming off as somewhat too sincerer for later seasons or being too connected or outside the fandom "core" depending on what your personal definition is. 

I've seen people take us as  either a land of a few fags with mixed to cringe OC and mid level blogging or we are a small pony image board that has somehow managed to trudge along to being something unique and in someways more alive than a lot of other projects.  though frankly it probably is a bit of both.

most channers believe that this ride is painful and nothing else will matter for the real lives. But then you wonder if you are living in pain, those questions arise every now and then as shown on /mlp/. 

Then, you realize that you are feeling the pain because others are listening to you, so sharing those feelings  turn into the actual truth...because those words are being shared with someone else that will reply to you and will transmit those words to other fans in the future.

But what about /endpone/, which is located at the end of the universe? 

The answer is.....that you don´t feel any pain whatsoever.

There is no pain because you might get lucky that a person or two could listen to you but in the end, it´s cold outside. No one else will actually care and because of that you don´t share those same feelings like /mlp/ does.

Your feelings are always floating in limbo and  you don´t expect what light you might get at the end of the tunnel. And even if there was one with the colourful show, the gen has ended....so what would your reason be  to justify your stay here?

The pain is an easy answer to hold onto it so you avoid asking deeper questions.However, when something is beyond yourself, you don´t feel that pain because you cannot control it either. That sense of apathy and uncertainty will conquer your body instead.

And lastly, you know that sharing the pain is a restriction because the /end/ will lead you to believe (one way or another) that you actually are a free soul, flying silently in the night to the highest mountains, swimming in the darkest depths beneath the abandoned bridges and asking over and over inside your brain when the next GET is going to come by looking at these numbers.

Maybe the pone drives us insane and holds too much chaos for anyone to handle it , so let´s leave that question to the constellations. Maybe the stars will aid us with this hopeless escape and get some advice and boring rationalism from them.

Or at least...that´s what they said... before they had an argument among them

I can see one deciding that hiding in the shadows is a more based way of doing things but the real master of that attitude was BO.

I'd say that he already implied to have a fair bit on his plate and probably does doubly do to the pandemic. I'd be awesome if he ever does decide to show up back here  because frankly I think he is similar to us  but totally understand if he doesn't.

well, it´s not uncommon at all to operate in the dark when one has the power but as for something as meaningless as a board in an altchan, then normally Board Owners try to encourage directions for the board...and I have to agree that the BO didn´t mark any direction and let this board go through a spontaneous route/order by itself without having to tell anything. 

It is either based or he didn´t care all that much at first and then, he saw the potential..... or perhaps, both things occurred.

yeah, definitely it´s not recommended to go through these episodes and combine it with this abnormal situation.

he is more similar but I think that his silence prevented him from expressing that and use certain mediums to vent his thoughts. He wouldn´t have kept the board under his command for so long if he wasn´t interested at all.

I know you feel a bit awkward with disrupting us here but honestly you were another one on the ride of this thread with us, just for the most part silent.  Besides, if you've know us since 2018 you've almost an oldfag by /endpone/ sortlifespan if not one.   I know that IRL stuff can get in the way and you may not get to post as often but I do hope you stick around. I have really enjoyed talking to ya and wouldn't mind you posting along with us.  

Also, this posts serves as a PoLS.  I've been pretty busy with stuff. The good news is a lot of it is /pone/ related.

That's true, but nostalgia is such a powerful sentiment that it often submerges the idea of anything new being good. I still think the show went slightly in the wrong direction, but it made the best out of it anyway, and did a really good job of it to boot.

yeah, a strong base really helps at anytime. I wish that Hasbro didn´t only realize that this gen gets a better reputation. They could apply that for gen 5 in one go and milk much more money and reputation, that trend shouldn´t simply die with gen 4 alone but...eh, we´ll see if the corporate heads actually care about that reputation over the years...

considering that I have seen endless discussions of gen wars among Pokemon fans, that exercise comes as nothing new to my eyes. It reaffirms that we are doomed to repeat the same cycles and steps like everything else. Wait a couple of years until they get nostalgic about the latest seasons...

it cannot please everyone I guess and I didn´t like all the episodes but I was surprised by the amount of quality put after such a long lifetime and even surpass a few older seasons at times. It ended up nicely (which is why I am relieved with gen 4 overall) and can stand on its own so from there, the subjective views can vary in diverse ways. 
The only clear conclusion that I have towards the show is that season 3 was the worst because of its rushed nature but as for the rest, I could like almost the rest of the seasons indifferently according to the coffee that I take each morning....so yeah, that´s a good sign.

For me I think of it as wrong dynamics but not necessarily wrong episodes. Like, Dolores, she really wasn't a bad character but it put Twilight Sparkle in a weird place of being in the middle of being a retired teacher yet still being the protagonist for Season 6 and in Season 7 being slightly dialed back to Season 8 and 9 where she becomes a side character that fits a bit better  but only because of other clutter  Yet I say that I still enjoy the episodes themselves for the most part.

That is understandable. Though I could see some value in it myself just comparing it to the old series, that could still feel hallow (especially if it's just a large hatedom). Still, as I said, stop by once in awhile if ya have the time  maybe a couple of things that could interest you coming in awhile.   or if you just wanna chat, that's fine too.
