What's the name of that genre.
Reminding me some 60-70s hippy music, but also would kinda expect to appear in Pulp Fiction or something. And in French.

Breddy gud. The voice of the vocalist is something that needs to get used to, but the music itself worth it. The clip with the animated heart was a good idea.

A pal of mine listened those guys.

Well when a band does that they always get lotsa heat for it. If they can still produce something new from the same, why change?

It's basically comics cartoonified. There was this mag Heavy Metal containing adult comics (adult means contained themes kids wouldn't understand due to lack of info, plus had gore and nudity).
I enjoyed the film but probably the product of it's time, would be out of place if done today. Maybe gonna watch it once again sometimes, who knows.
South Park made me watch it btw, there's an episode when Randy is getting high on cat piss, and he and Kenny fought in the playground's sand, imagining a world inspired by Heavy Metal. Music was taken from it's soundtrack too.

 >>/40499/
> Was Heavy Metal a good film?

I think so, but this is all about personal taste. It is just a classic visualization of western comics ( >>/40542/ said this already, it is from Heavy Metal magazine), maybe too straight and plain, but that is why it is classic.

Surprisingly, there is not so many movies like that.

ACDC has a new album, I dunno the title but I think this is the first song they released from that:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=54LEywabkl4
As I looked about it turned out they also had a new album in 2014 or so, which I did not heard of. I think the last one was Stiff Upper Lip I listened (and they sounded tired even on that... in 2000), so I might missed further ones.

Meanwhile trying to unfuck youtube somehow - mainly with disabling shit with css, I know it's futile since the problem is that 1MB large clusterfuck of a JS script they run as part of generating their shitty website (and that half MG large base.js too). So I'm looking into 3rd party solutions.
I have great hopes for cloudtube here:
https://tube.cadence.moe/
or
https://cadence.moe/cloudtube/subscriptions
But at youtube they are faggots and now I get this error message. I tried the other way he suggests but it either loads slow as fuck, or I got MIME type error. Oh well.
Cloudtube seems to be a nice frontend otherwise, but what I miss is that feature generate more than one page of hits when I search something.

 >>/40936/
> Black Magick SS, but instead it's shitty and gay, ew

For some reason people compare Assassination to BMSS, but they are very different sounding bands (I think BMSS is better, but that's just preference). But there are no real similarity in sound and style, maybe only slightly. Shitty and gay - perhaps, but different.

There is also another band that often compared with them, Edelweiss (Hungarians, btw), but they also are pretty different.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=19YpNOPXCr8

 >>/40938/
> ACDC has a new album,

Hardly distinguishable from previous I guess. But this is ok for old classic band.

 >>/40961/

Multiple times in comments people stated that band is from Hungary.

It is also said that there is some Hungarian words in intro: https://youtube.com/watch?v=iCiHzx37A80
In another video comment says:
> Haha, the beginning sample of Gestaposcope is from an awesome Hungarian folk tale/ animation: Fehérlófia. The translation of the sample goes as "I wish nothing else.. but bring me up to the higher realm!"

 >>/40965/
Huh. I'm tinkering with Stylish, turning several elements to "display: none", to make Youtube function little better (no consent popups, little better loads), but it fucks with the comments a bit now. So I haven't noticed.
> Nem kívánok egyebet, csak vigyél föl a Felvilágra

No they do the same thing over and over, fans probably expect them too. This is what they are, it would be very unexpected if they moved to a new sounding.

Actually there's more:

I think they threw the whole album onto youtube, and additional stuff.

 >>/41030/
There's this idea that their Stone Cold Crazy was the first thrash metal song, was promoted by Metallica, who also covered it, and somehow find it's way onto the page of metal magazines too.
Now listening Sheer Heart Attack with its punkish quickness and hard riffs, I think it isn't an impossible hypothesis. Maybe that whole album has this characteristic, I haven't heard it yet.

So, Dark Tranquillity released album in late November. Sounds pretty soft and like previous. Their long-standing guitarist quit the band, but sound didn't change much. Some people say that new album sounds like Projector (1999), but I couldn't find much similarity. Although Stanne (vocalist) got better clean vocals after 20 years at least.

That music column in the CD I went through for the Time Travel Thread gave me inspiration to do a music review. I'm gonna take a look (a listen?) at Metallica. Won't be a comprehensive review, but I just have this gut feeling I'm gonna find something I want to make note of.
I think this will be a short series I'll post in the next week, going on bit by bit. So let's listen some Metallica songs, although I'm gonna try excluding the most played ones.

Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield were the founder, among their first recruits they had Dave Mustain as lead guitarist. What I read about them made the impression that both Lars and James were quite driven musicians with some ideas what music they wanna play. However Mustain was an outstanding musician with written material he already had. Their first album, Kill 'Em All, is largely his work what Lars and James kneaded through, adding or maybe removing here and there, changing lyrics.
A controversy arouse from this fact, because Mustain was booted from the band due to his extreme drinking habit and aggression - still they kept and played his riffs. He gave them so much some of his stuff greets us even from the second album Ride the Lightning.
Ofc, he is credited for his work, but was a long running issue metal magazines liked to pick on, and fans of Megadeth (Mustain's band he founded after he left) and Metallica getting angered by.
The Four Horsemen originally was titled as Mechanix and Mustain featured that original song on the Megadeth album: Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!
Jump in the Fire was also largely written by him.
In case of Seek and Destroy he is credited and it is unknown how much of his - the solo for sure -, it is a possibility that this was another already existing song.
For the last one I included (Anesthesia) - Pulling teeth, since I can introduce Cliff Burton with that. He was a great bass player. I read they booted their original bassist because he did not really contribute anything worthwhile just followed. Burton however played a nice solo both Lars and Hetfield noticed, this one they put onto their first album.

Burton also was a creative talent with prominent role in making music from the moment of his recruitment. This led to the birth of the varied palette of Ride the Lightning, their second album. They still had some leftover riffs from Mustain, and had Burton's acknowledged grip on musical theory. From the 8 songs of the album, he was credited at 5, so he was an active contributor not just in the theory.
What to include?
Ride the Lightning for Mustain, it features what he calls the "Spider Chord Riff". According to him, the melodic intro is from Lars.
The Call of Ktulu, again because of Mustain, the demo title was When The Hell Freezes over, supposedly. He said the "long drawn-out part in the middle" was added after.
Let's put Trapped Under Ice and Creeping Death here too.
The first is just remainder of exclusions - I don't like Escape, and For Whom The Bell Tolls and Fade To Black are just too damn popular (I can understand that they are good songs). I include Creeping Death for the lyrics, it tells the tale of that Biblical story, when Jewish death squads crept through Egypt, butchering the first borns of Egyptians, among them the pharaoh's.
Btw For Whom The Bell Tolls kinda reminds me of One; for Fade to Black they got some flames from the fans, was too slow and clear for OG thrash metal listeners.

Battery starts with a melodic acoustic part, that sure scared the OGs again out of their boots. It's Master of Puppets time. Still with Cliff grinding the bass - credited at only three songs, but he had a large overall impact - this album really delivers. Praised by most, I heard stuff like "THE Thrash Metal Album" and such. Maybe they tried to compensate for the experimenting the fans had to suffer with Ride the Lightning. The songs they produced turned out to be heavier, and finally James found something close to his voice what characterize the rest of his career.
'bout half year after the release of the album, during a tour Burton died in the accident they suffered in their tour bus.
Leper Messiah - Mustain's heritage still creeping onto this album, although disputed, and he isn't credited.
I really like Welcome Home (Sanitarium) and Damage Inc. so these are mandatory to feature.
I was hesitant what to post for fourth. Orion is a nice instrumental song, with Burton in central role, but let's post Disposable Heroes, this feels as some kind of prelude to One from the next album, the...

...And Justice for All. Most of the songs were already composed while Burton still lived and worked with the band. So maybe the continuity between themes what Disposable Heroes and One offers might has to do with that. Or maybe it's just Hetfield writing lyrics. However in the music there is a continuity, the two albums are like one album divided. Except they fucked up the bass line by turning down its volume to -1. The evil rumour says it was to troll the new bassist Jason Newsted, later James and Lars made statements in interviews giving explanations how this reduction of the bass happened, but all justifications sounds made up, lame ass excuses.
Jason was pretty determined to play in the band. For the tryout he learned the whole setlist they played. He was picked, but he had to fill a pretty big shoe. It appears to be that the other members of the band was very fond of Cliff, the talented bassist, so getting over of his death for both personal and professional reasons couldn't be easy. Since most of the album was built on material the band already created with Burton, Jason did not add much to the songs. He is credited at only one.
The live performances I heard (not personally, "too bad I wasn't there") mostly have a section dedicated to this album, a Justice medley, where they play a combination of several chunks of these songs. Today's selection is...
Eye of The Beholder - I like this very much.
The Shortest Straw
The Frayed Ends of Sanity
To Live is to Die - this one is a breddy gud instrumental, with little talk within.

The Black Album brought great change. Suddenly they did not really play thrash metal anymore. I think they said something about they wanted to play something new, simpler, shorter (the previous two albums did have quite long songs), but I see three circumstances that changed. First now nothing was left from Burton's heritage. Second, they had Jason Newsted who also had some creative talent up in his sleeves and even had some riffs brought with him from his previous band, Flotsam and Jetsam (although I never heard any of their stuff, so I have zero idea if any similarities exist anywhere). And the third was their new producer Bob Rock, with whom they worked along a new methodology, new type of recording technique, and who apparently had large impact on the sounding and style.
However from the credits one could conclude it's all Hetfield and Ulrich who made everything, others pitching in here and there.
Twelve songs, greater selection than before but I have a hard time to pick. They aren't that good songs to be honest and I really don't want to pick Enter Sandman (I like it but it's a standard to play it in radio, tv, wherever, along with Nothing Else Matters). Oh well, maybe a cover (what I already posted before no doubt).
Don't Tread on Me - Wakey, wakey, do not step on snakey. Certain parts feels like a Black Label Society tune.
Of Wolf And Man - For the Ferences' awoo threads.
My Friend of Misery - the lonely song where Newsted is credited, wanted The God That Failed for that awesome (and simple) bass riff, but oh, well.

The most important thing to know about Load is that they cut their hair short. It can clearly be heard in the groove. The controversial album cover is a photo featuring the artist's load mixed in some cow blood. What a cheapo fuck, he didn't even used his own blood. Well suppose he liked jacking off more than getting cut. I'm not sure who is the greater artist, this fag or the other who paints assholes in hyperreal...
Newsted isn't in the credits, not at one song. Weird because supposedly they kicked out their first bassist being too passive. So maybe that was a bs, or somehow they were fine with Jason's lack of contribution, or he did add to the album but they just did not give his due. This is an extra long album with 14 songs on its list, they spent five years to release it, I found impossible they didn't implemented any of his ideas.
Bob Rock also plays on this album, and as I mentioned he had big influence on their output. He wasn't credited either with anything (else than being the producer). So maybe it's just their definition of "writing" is very strict? Who knows.
I always thought about Metallica's music, that I'm fond of the whole Kill 'Em All (except Phantom Lord) and from the other albums I like various songs. But now that I'm relistening this one, I'd have an easier time to list those tracks I don't like.
Hero of the day
Poor twisted me - This one actually not bad, never think to listen it for some reason.
Mama said - It's a nice song, don't get me wrong, I just don't care for it much. I don't listen to Metallica to listen this.
That's it, these three what I'd skip - and even these are enjoyable. Now the mystery of the fourth pick remains.
Bleeding me - I just searched "Bleeding me cover" on youtube and I found her voice kinda fascinating.

Just reading the tracklist I know that what was true to Load the reverse will be true for Reload. From the long list barely anything I'm fond of, or very memorable, So I'm not sure what criteria I'm gonna use.
Anyway, the cover is now piss and blood, at least this looks like flames. It is very similar to Load, in fact they had large number of songs, and they split them in two, published Load first, then Reload a year later. Newsted is credited at one song.
This thing is running, and I like some stuff from most of the songs and the rest of those songs are pure trash that just don't fit. Instead of thrash.
Oh god, this album sucks balls. I bet they wanted to make an album, they wrote a bunch of songs, they selected the better ones and released Load. Then they had to make a new album sometimes, and they thought fuck it, we're gonna publish the lame ones too, and tell everyone we wanted to do that originally as a double album, it's just we didn't coz reasons.
On the other hand my decision might be harsher because I would expect better from them.
Carpe Diem Baby - groovieeeeee
Where the Wild Things Are - for the Jason credit, also there's a movie with this title I've never seen. The music itself is mostly ok in this song, but not the vocals.
Prince charming - The first 30 seconds are catchy as hell. And when the riff returns, it's breddy gud. The chorus part become almost exactly like a piece form Four Horsemen, and sounds also all right. The stuff in between, with that I've problems with.
Fixxer - groooovy again.

I wanted to stop before St. Anger but what the hell.
Jason left the band before they started recording. He wanted to channel creativity - what (judging from the credits of the songs) they obviously did not allow to found it's way onto the Metallica albums (or was just left out from the credits because of reasons) - into a side project, a band called Echobrain, but he got bullied for this from the rest of the band, I read especially James had reservations him working on something else. Sounds he was jealous. Well Jason left, then toured with Ozzy then played with Voivod and stuff, essentially faded into obscurity gradually.
This album was hyped as "back to the roots" but is there anything common with the old albums, besides now it sounds more like metal and not hard rock? And some long ass songs? Well doesn't matter. Many note the shitty snare sounding like a tin can. Reminding me the sound those colorful rubber toy balls make when slapped.
With this I'm kinda like with Reload, there are parts of the songs which are breddy gud. I think I can find something redeeming in all of them. But that also means I find something painful too.
Some Kind of Monster - I think the base tune is pretty cool, the other stuff is all right too.
Dirty Window - Much rock n roll in there.
Invisible Kid - Never see what he did. They should have cut this shorter, gets monotonous by the end.
The Unnamed Feeling - I like how chaotic this is (some other songs too, but this is a better one in my opinion). Intro is great. That vocal part at 4:55 is very unexpected and weird, but find it I dunno familiar, and pleasant.

This will be a review after the post-last one. Since Reload should have been the last one.
I do not listen much Death Magnetic, I can't recall tunes after I reading the titles, with a couple of notable exceptions. Hetfield sings in a higher pitch he used to, like falsetto or something. I've problems with The Unforgiven over 9000 (with Roman numerals: MCCIↃↃↃ), I wish they would stop with this (although this one might be better than the II). But this album is more of a "back to the roots" than St. Anger, although the sounding feels similar. But they have normal drums and solos. And more thrashy than just edgy.
New face: Rick Rubin the producer of this, and Robert Trujillo is manning the bass - on the previous album both was Bob Rock. From what I read while they played under the direction of Bob Rock, they recorded more in experimental, improvisational fashion, making decisions on the fly, but with Rubin, they sat down first to talk it through, learn the mostly ready songs, and go to the studio and record material, leaving the writing out of there. The tracks do seem more whole, and not some ill fitting patchwork.
Credits I dunno who gets what and how much, I read all the band members participated in writing their shit.
The End of the Line - because why not.
All Nightmare Long - this one I remember and like.
Suicide and Redemption - I like this very very much. Instrumental. Reminding me of NFS 3: Hot Pursuit soundtrack. Great.
Cyanide - This is a quite ok one, the rest of the songs meh, compared, although most has enjoyable parts, wouldn't wrote them off.

In 2016 they released their 10th album, the Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, which I have not listened yet (only one song I think, maybe came out as a single before the album, I dunno). Maybe I'll give it a listen and give a reaction/review of it on the next occasion.
Ofc I'm gonna buy it otherwise Lards will sue my ass.

Very thick sound. The kick drum can be heard perfectly. It's like there would be a giant hollow in the track when it isn't going, the bass is so separated from the higher pitched lines, which don't seem to have that much of a body.
I don't care for Hetfield's vocals, too monotonous, and I hear (as with the previous two albums) some/lot autotune here and there. No soul in that.
Anyway, this copy I got consists of three disks, the first two essentially the album itself, a double one at that, six songs each CDs.
New producer, Greg Fidelman, I dunno if that counts in this case, he was there to mix Death Magnetic, so I assume he is more of a tech guy. The music was basically written solely by James and Lars. Trujillo is credited at one.
- Now That We're Dead - It caught me with the first one and half minute. Much hard rock in there, let's call it very hard rock. Some nice groovy parts too.
- Halo on Fire - just because the outro of the song, how it turns into that solo. Otherwise I dunno.
- Confusion - the first riff, after the intro, catchy as fugg.
- Am I Savage? - I am, man, yes I am. Funny. Again, catchy riff after the intro. Groovy.
Some more notes after I finished the album. For me the vocals kinda ruins every song. Older tunes meet us on the CD2, the inspirations are clear in Here Comes Revenge (The Shortest Straw), Murder One (Welcome Home), and Spit Out the Bone (Metal Militia). If I wanna be harsh I would say they were ripping off themselves (actually Mustain and Burton, kek). Such cases.

Okay, I can give a basis of comparison.
The kick in the Hardwired... >>/42148/ sounds like Ensiferum's take on Battery, listen here: >>/42035/
So I assume it's a style of mixing the lines (I dunno what the correct term in their industry). I guess they wanted a distinct sounding to the album.

For final words, three posts. I will include only one file each, because uploads are slow. Not sure yet which ones.
I've never listened Metallica this way methodically, one album after the other, or tried to compare their songs, although they were played frequently. Here's what I think about the whole lot.
First my opinion, how I feel about them.
1. Kill 'Em All - Great. Would be excellent with thicker sounding, and deeper vocals (like Hetfield on The Black Album), but the setup came with that era sadly.
2. Ride the Lightning - Okay.
3. Master of Puppets - Good.
4. ...And Justice for All - Okay.
5. The Black Album - Okay.
6. Load - Great, but this is not Metallica.
7. Reload - Meh.
8. St. Anger - Okay-ish.
9. Death Magnetic - Okay.
10. Hardwired... to Self-Destruct - I dunno yet, I need more exposure to judge. For now, it's meh.

Second, how I would group them.
1 Kill 'Em All - Mustain-era
2 Ride the Lightning - transition between Mustain-era to Burton-era
3a Master of Puppets - matured Burton-era
3b...And Justice for All - Burton-era, but wanted a different sounding, cancelled the bass
4a The Black Album - the rise of Newsted-era, I believe he added way more to the songs the credits lead us believe, I think he loved Metallica and he said: "do whatever with my stuff", and the others claimed it (I do not believe they did it with purposeful malice or soemthing like that, but they exploited his willingness and kindness, and when later he tried to make something on his own this led to the break, because they shat themselves he won't give them more), I also think the others wrote lot of stuff too (compared to Kill 'Em All for example)
4b Load - prime Newsted-era
4c Reload - the low of Newsted-era
5a St. Anger - "wtf we're gonna do alone"-era, reaching back for inspiration to the Mustain and Burton eras, but incorporating elements of the popular trends of those years (nu-metal n shiet)
5b Death Magnetic - ditto, reaching back even more for inspiration, starting to look more similar to the old days
5c Hardwired... to Self-Destruct - ditto, but now they arrived far enough to recycle chunks from the first couple of albums (like fashion repeating itself at every three decade)

I dunno if I want to cast a judgement on them, that Metallica is a big name, but better bands out there, better musicians, who are less known, because they do have many songs that I like and would consider great. They were also one of the bands who defined and shaped thrash metal. However they weren't consistent with their material. The reason is that unlike how I wrote in the beginning, now I think James and Lars did not have a tangible idea what music to play, and relied heavily onto the other band members, who left or died, so they were influenced to play different things.
This change in style can be observed at other bands, for example at - one of my favourite - The Haunted, where the changes of vocalists made huge impact. But they consistently remained at metal, the contrast between the genres and the sounding isn't that strong.

Well, these tracks were from the Live Shit: Binge & Purge live concert record from 1993 in Mexico City. Picked "Jason-heavy" songs, with him singing and playing solo.

My sources were:
- Wikipee
- the ED article about Metallica (check it out, it's hilarious: https://encyclopediadramatica.wiki/index.php/Metallica - "Wrote 'Em All" by Mustain keks)
- various articles on the internet chiefly about the controversy with Mustain

Back to posting songs. Here's some from the band called
"Dead Kennedys". A very aggressive American punk band from California with a really unique sound to them. I used to listen to them a lot a few years ago, but stopped for some reason. Here's some songs

https://youtube.com/watch?v=wr8Ykvr9ToA

The first song "kill the poor" was made because the lead singer thought that hydrogen bombs were made to "get rid of poverty stricken areas" or something IDK

The 2nd picture is a funny "new wave" story if you look into it. They got banned from a awards ceromony for one of the songs they played on the air called "Pull my strings".

 >>/41710/
> It was weird for me to see someone discover Abba just now, but then I remembered people on internet are like 17 years old

I mean I've heard of the band. Just not too in depth to really listen to the effort they put in.

 >>/42355/
Yeah, they are one of the early punk bands, along with Ramones. Neither of them I listened, excluding some rare occasions, I can't name one song.
I remember someone posting (probably you) Ramones.
I might get into listening them sometimes.
These songs remind me of Aurora very much. Well they were inspired by these genre defining bands so yeah.
> Hellnation
The riff reminds be Hocus Pocus by Focus.
> Let's Lynch the Landlord
Whoa, this one is great, I lik it very much.

 >>/42356/

From these couple of songs I don't think that album is for me. Granted they have a unique sound, but not enough pleasant for first listen.
The other songs seem better to me.

 >>/42358/
> I remember someone posting (probably you) Ramones.

I actually did tbh

> Whoa, this one is great, I lik it very much.

That was actually the song that got me to like the band.

> From these couple of songs I don't think that album is for me. Granted they have a unique sound, but not enough pleasant for first listen.

IMHO their sound gets worse with each album. At first, it sounds so fresh, raw and new. But then when you go to their last album "bedtime for democracy", it sounds like every other punk album being released in that era. Really boring and uninspiring

I think everyone there chose a name to sound as cool as possible when forming the band. And it worked for a lot of them.

What a pleasant sounding band name. Have you guys ever thought about adding vowels to your languages?
Heh, I really thought if will be some kind of r'n'r. They added accordion! I assume where normally the keyboard/organ would be. Breddy gud.

 >>/43264/
For me they sound unpleasant. I had a shitty night so I might be a bit sensitive now, so later I'll give it another try. My problem is that it's electronic noises with rap, but the rap sounds like mooing of a cow, and now I can't concentrate on the lyrics itself, maybe that's well written I can't tell at the moment. Sorry, I hope you understand.

 >>/44011/
I suppose this is lots of electronic, but gonna give a try.
The second one (QP Dangerous) has some ska vibe, not bad.
All right third one isn't bad. Bit chaotic, reminds me some screamo shit (I know one particular song Ambrosia by Alesana https://tube.cadence.moe/watch?v=ntRXE7oLVf8).
The last one I found both unnerving and fun. It has some catchy parts.

Okay there was lot less electronic than I first thought.

I see this music threads as a way of listening other stuff than I usually listen without having to go out of my way of searching. What Bernd posts I'll listen, maybe even comment on it, maybe even find new favs.

Leaving some songs from an ironically unironically good artist called "Lil B". If you look closely at all of his music, you can notice that most rappers and hip hop groups have taken a huge inspiration from all of his earlier songs and rap styles. He paved the way for a lot of current artists. His songs are a hoot, so don't ever take him to seriously.

With this rate the thread becomes a list of obituaries.
But the big old names following each other... does the current generation of musicians and bands have the potential to became as iconic as these guys? These guys formed great genres, left their marks everywhere on the globe. Their songs were played and used in other media, movies, tv-shows. These songs are associated with history forming events. Some as pioneers traveled into ex-Eastern Block countries after the collapse, I think some even before that. Their concerts are/were huge happenings, moving masses.
Now the new guys, new music?

I think I never posted this, now I came across it accidentally, I'm glad I did. It's a solid punk cover of a Hungarian folk song. Or more like a rewritten form. Patriotic song, it even features a short piece of poem related to the '48-49 revolution. The original is a bit ambiguous since the lyrics sounds like it addressed to a woman, and is a love song.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=V89XPBiKgSA

Now that we are at it, here is Három Árva (Three Orphans) by The Devil's Trade, another cover of a folk song. In a melodic metal form, little bit of death-doom maybe, but with clear, "normal" vocals.

Heard some of their songs, and they are relatively ok. But for some reason they didn't get my attention much, and I forgot about them.

Some kind of movie-like ambient with 80s feel.

Hmm yes then I'm of similar opinion, they feel kind bland, it's like their song lack that memorability factor for me

Not sure which thread was this song posted, Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner by Warren Zevon. I listened into a bunch of covers found on yt, but still this one is the best by Lauren O'Connel. She's the only one who actually put some creativity into her version. I really wished at least one good pure acoustic guitar cover can be found. There are some I did not listen, but did many and they were all trash. It doesn't need to be virtuoso or flawless or faithful to the last note, just some jammy type, unique.

The other song is breddy fun, with good tune. Grabbed from >>>/ausneets/

 >>/45805/
Sometimes I search for "[song title] cover" on yt. I liek unique sounding cover songs, like most of the covers done by Six Feet Under of ACDC (and other performers).
Hells Bells by Six Feet Under:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=WRXkAhwGTgo
Or here, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by Graveyard BBQ:

The cover of Ends I found some time ago, by Everlast (he produces some shitty rapish bs in general, but he has a couple of nice kinda blues songs). The Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner was posted here(?) and ausneets, also maybe was linked during a stream. My Shit's Fucked up is also by Warren Zevon, and the posted one is his performance.
16 tons is a well known song, used in many movies and tv-shows too.

This one is a Hungarian song, performed live by the band who wrote it >>/45779/

Is it known when that article was published? Their band was named temporarily Omega Red Star when they had a tour in 1968 in England.

> To the dear readers of the "POBECHUK" newspaper, with greetings, by OMEGA RED STAR band.
Then the signatures. It seems the middle on the right is Kóbor's.

Article from 1970. Journal "Ровесник" (translated as "person of the same age" or "same-age peer") was journal for youths about music and movies, it often had articles about foreign rock (of course very censored).

> Yeah, all those wild rock 'n' roll, the opiate of the declining West.

Some bands for some reasons were allowed, or allowed partially. Even in system like USSR it is hard to be fully closed from foreign cultural influence, so Soviet youths listened to rock-n-roll on underground-made vinyls and cassettes, but some officially allowed music also was released by state companies. Some selected records of Beatles, Rolling Stones or Doors were allowed (although mostly in late USSR), some jazz etc. Also some singers who were friendly to USSR also were officially printed, like Dean Reed.

There were also local rock'n'roll and hard rock, sometimes not that bad.

Well it would need a longer listen to say anything about it, but it needs a specific mood, otherwise most of it doesn't sound like a pleasant experience - although quite melodic here and there (liek Dedorkinization).

This could potentially worth an investigation. I'm pretty sure some stuff was written about this (handling western material and influence by Soviet culture politics) in Hungarian.
Elsewhere on this board I mentioned from 60s-70s we had the official policy of the 3T (TTT = Tilt Tűr Támogat = Prohibit, Permit Forbear/Tolerate , Promote), and if something can be accessed by the people, it was sure that was allowed to exist with the knowledge of the tovarishes upstairs, and they had a reason to do that. There were stuff which were technically illegal, but still fell into the allowed/permitted category.

Sure. Here:

Three Orphans

The three orphans set forth
The three orphans set forth
All three dressed in earthly mourn
All three dressed in earthly mourn

Don't go three orphans
You won't find good master
I give you three staves
Whip the cemetery

Get up, get up, my mother
As my clothes are in rags
I don't need you my children
Shadow clouds my eyes

Now you have a stepmother
Who put white on you
When she puts white on you
Your backs bloom with blood

When she slaps your head
Tears cover your faces

My God, at least now
Watch over the orphans
So they don't have to wander
From one door to the other

Well, he is right that popular doesn't equal to genius. But I don't listen to classical music to tell what's actually great and not. I know people who are into that genre, and I don't think Mozart's name comes up frequently.
As these music threads prove, I listen other stuff, but I'm not necessarily have deep knowledge, but enough for me to see that popular bands make great music, but there are more obscure ones, that worth more listening.

It's an important number for sure, and features in many folk tales. It's an ancient thing (part of astrology too), but for example Christianity's Holy Trinity also elevated of its importance. There are other numbers, like 7 or 9 (which is 3 times 3). Some can be obsessive with the numbers, build it into their thoughts, in philosophy or politics.
In that folk song that band covered, features for similar reason for folk tales.

Well besides the aforementioned Trinity, thee appears in quite a various forms all over.
Remaining at religion Hinduism has three main gods (Trimurti): Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Or some people believes the Norse gods are just three (Odin, Frigg, Thor or Baldr not sure which), and the rest are their aspects (although this is might be just a Christian influence). And then in Christianity it also appears in different forms, for example the resurrection happens on the third day, or the devil tempts Jesus three times, or Peter denies Jesus three times.
In folk tales appears in Cinderella for example (Grimm version), she gets two step-sisters, making them three, and the king's festival takes three days.
In literary works, like at Homer: Paris have to pick one goddess out of three as the most beautiful.
In arts it also appears, like the motif of triskelion.
Just from the top of my heda. I'm sure we could find many more.

I'm looking into KMFDM, or rather listening. My motivation is a cyberpunk feeling that somewhat associated to them, due to their song Virus, which featured in Johnny Mnemonic Keanu Reeves movie (which now reminds me to reread the Sprawl tirolgy...).
I'm through couple of albums and singles, which have some good tunes/riffs/samples here and there, but the only catchy (for me) track I found is Kickin' Ass. For now.

 >>/46150/
> 2 obscure for me
I thought they are well known. Not because I know them, frankly I listen them the first time (except the aforementioned Virus song).
They are Germans, but it seems some members were English (American?). They are playing industrial in general. Sometimes it's more electronic, sometimes they lean towards metal. They are an old band, started in the 80s. One song of them contains shit from Slayer.
To be honest I'm looking for something instrumental which offers some cyberpunk feels, which isn't pure electro, but contains healthy amount of rock/metal.

For me it's more about his appearances in movies. Hmm. I thought it's "normal" folk song, but the rythm and the riffs place it more into the rock/metal category, despite I think all played with more traditional instruments. Thanks, looks like pretty large collection.

Also, considering chiptune, keygen music often pretty good. There are sites like http://keygenmusic.net/?lang=en that have large amount of that.

> sounds liek power/thrash metal or similar.

I have some theory about it. Genre born in late 80s - early 90s, mostly as soundtracks for games. In these times even mainstream music was rock-like (pop-music was rock-influenced, like Bonnie Tyler or such). Metal (especially power and thrash) was mainstream non-pop music that everyone, including game programmers, listened. So, it was music that they want to have in their games, but they've had only restricted 8bit as tool.

So, genre born as attempt to make rock/metal while having only limited abilities. Another example are soundtracks of DOS games like Doom - it is also has metal-like structure and style, only instruments differ. Or Command & Conquer (Klepacki, composer, did metal versions of them in 2019 and they are very similar to original).

So, maybe if that genre would be born now, we'd have cloud-rap-styled chiptune (oh god).

 >>/46427/
> keygen music often pretty good
True. The release groups make their own tunes. And they were grew out from the demoscene, those making animations and music.
> soundtracks for games.
And the demoscene.
> these times even mainstream music was rock-like
Yes.
> including game programmers, listened
Especially them I would think. It was part of being edgy too. Programmers were a fringe group of a few individuals.

That "military music" requires specific musical tradition in society. USSR had some kind of local scene for that music, common people often had guitars and made own songs. Genre was often called "bard song". There were tourist songs, army songs, political and criminal ones. Stylistically they were mostly similar, just guitar without complex melody, it can even be described as poetry (often bad) with music, where music isn't central thing, but lyrics is. Songs were made by different social groups, from intelligentsia to commoners, criminals and soldiers.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bard_(Soviet_Union)
(that article is slightly shallow though)

That Afghan music wasn't some unique thing, there were military songs before and after. Now tradition mostly gone because no one knows what guitar is, and modern conscripts listen mostly to junkie rap. But there still some bands that play in that genre.

I don't really know much about musical trends of US army, but I guess they wouldn't do anything similar in 2022. US army also less connected than USSR one was, because it lacks conscription, so common citizen in USA cares less about soldiers than commoner in USSR.

> That would explain it, they have songs about the Chechen wars as well. It's odd in a way, these songs are often quite depressing and describe war as something awful that they are forced to do and only want to leave, it's not something you would expect to be tolerated in a society like the USSR.

These songs mostly a folk reaction to events, not official propaganda that was strictly controlled by state. Of course you couldn't sing purely antisoviet songs openly, but there were no way to suppress negativity, especially in late USSR where everything gone wrong.

Relations of society and army in USSR (and Russia) are very specific because nationwide conscription, but this is pretty large thing to discuss in this thread. Almost everyone had some relation to army (everyone at least know someone who served in army, often having some relative who serves right now). So every big military engagement produced large impact on society, especially when there are casualties and rumors (USSR censored much about Afghan, so there were plenty of countrywide negative rumors). Chechnya was even worse.

Keygen music is the result of demoscene. The scene groups were into coding, and to show off their skills they made demoparties where they played their demos, the animations and music. But besides coding these they got into cracking games too (among other things), creating cracks and keygens. Some groups had branches one doing some stuffs, others cracking shit, and they were separate but working under the same name.

Picked up KMFDM again. Angst album and Glory single. The Glory is just remixes of couple of songs from the album, but from those which I liked on Angst, I prefer a remix over them.
The album is more on the metal side, compared to previous (especially with the single's remixes). Quite hard, even thrash metal hardness. Couple of places the tone of a guitar reminded be of Slayer's Reign in Blood album.
The song The Problem I liek because of the female vocals.

Btw all KMFDM songs seems to be a bit off, especially the lyrics are frequently written in a way that they sound awkward, amateurish, even cringe. Something like a kid would write. Is this because they are German?

The slow paced into is kinda doom metal-ish. Then it's typical black. Then a bit of power metal. And somewhat symphonic too.

I really thought it will be chipmunks on 16x speed.
It sounds like if it was played on slower speed than what was recorded. It sounds more natural on 1.5x and 1.75x speed. The first is still a bit slow but the other is a bit quick, so the truth is somewhere between two. Maybe the 16 speed is 1.6x speed??
Otherwise reminds me of I Need You Tonight by ZZTop a little bit.

Wow, retro. All of my players that could play CDs died.
I did not listen much them at all, but they are a classic now.
King for a Day has breddy gud bass line, I prefer this although in Evidence the bass sounds stronger. It's two different styles.
I remember Epic, I did not care for it much. Now I think it's okay.

On many occasions for newly uploaded videos. But for some reason I got this at all you linked. So I listened alternative uploads. Not the Miley Cyrus version of the Blondie song, ofc.
I think I did not know the first two. Although the sounding was familiar. Cars is a very characteristic, and iconic song I think.

That is soundtrack for famous Russian game "Dalnoboischiki 2" from 2001: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_Truck_2:_King_of_the_Road (Russian wiki has much more info). It has some similarity with modern Euro Truck Simulator, although it has more arcade features and less about pure simulation and scenery. It achieved some kind of cult status in Russia in that time.

Soundtrack is also noticeable because it is made by Aria - the most famous Russian heavy metal band. They are pretty good, although some people criticize them for copying Iron Maiden (it is debatable). Soundtrack is made with tracks without vocals, but all these songs originally have texts. Some tracks are rerecorded, because original records from 80s were bleak, although music is same. I actually can recommend Aria for anyone who likes good heavy metal (maybe except their newest albums).

I don't think so. They should have these now:
https://www.bkv.hu/hu/jarmuveink/metro/
The English lang site is a bit different, and it doesn't list the "trains" they use.
They yellow one, the oldest, runs on the line M1, which was the first underground railway in continental Europe (London's and Liverpool's preceded it). Ofc these cars are way younger than that.
Kontroll, a dark comedy, drama movie plays in the metro tunnels, and it features the Soviet wagons. Slovborg streamed it on his Khantube channel, I should too on Endcorner. It's breddy gud.
Maybe I'll write a bit about Budapest's metro lines sometimes in the near future.

Today I woke up thinking about radio K-Rose. So I blasted some of those good tunes, and got inspired by the legendary "Bed of Roses" and "New York city" (big feels always) to take at closer look at the Statler Brothers band. And boy was it a homerun. I listened through two of their albums today, "Bed of Roses" and "Flowers on the Wall".

I'm posting another goldie from the album "Bed of Roses" I immediately loved.

> Were these two homos specifically ordered/payed to cover this song to indoctrinate Eastern Euro millenials to leave their countries? It went so much in telly and radios here it's insane.

Maybe they were US spies or got payed by murricans to make that song?

 >>/48533/
It seems it was a Village People song originally and their intention was to make it about the Westward colonization of the US. Ofc in some apologetic tone.
But they also wrote that even the original song resembled to Soviet anthem.

Good early punk jolly sounding, in contrast with the lyrics.
Heh, their first drummer was Hungarian.
> Time Bomb
I'm not sure about the remastering. The originals sounds too, hmm, "boxy", but the remastered feels as if between the tracks there would be big empty void. I can't explain otherwise, I'm not sure.
> Tropico game
That one you posted it earlier, I remember. Not bad.
I get back to the article sometimes.

Since I posted this elsewhere, might post it here too.
Tankcsapda: Szabadon
Infa 100% I already posted something from this band, they started out as punk rock, then turned into I dunno, I can't really tell the genre. They are probably the most popular rock band on the Hungary.
https://invidious.snopyta.org/watch?v=8UEh6jf1t48
https://youtube.com/watch?v=8UEh6jf1t48

I translated the lyrics. Not very poetic in English. Generally the vocalist/bassist is quite clever writer. Probably due to heavy weed use as I noted it in one of my conversations.

Free (maybe Freely)

I know...
...the song of the pistons
...the wind of the propellers
...the smell of the petrol
...the life of the man

Where the raging force's
Soundless music
Bonebreaking
Narcotics

There I fall free
fall free...

I know...
...all its wishes
...its changing winds
...the song of flight
...the breath of meadow

Where the God waving
My homeland is there
Uninhabited island
Heavenly ocean

There I fall free
fall free...

Below me from another
World there is more
Yawning in boredom
Try to do it better
The job of yours
As long as they let you
In the end they'll give back you
To the Earth anyway

I hear...
...all its wishes
I mind...
...its changing winds
I sing...
...the song of flight
I smell...
...the breath of meadow

I know...
...the song of the pistons
The spinning wind of the propellers
I breath the smell of the petrol
I live the life of the man

There I fall free
fall free...

Since I have a bit of time. This one I've never listened by on my volition before today, it's from an album that came out after I was done with this band. How it goes "they sold out" twice over, they become more and more popular and their songs more digestible for mainstream listeners, so it was high time to ditch 'em. I heard this song on quite a few occasion anyway, since radio played it, telly played it, and the places I went out to also played it. Now it was among the hits as I searched the previous one.
Maybe one day I'll be able to give a translation that could be used as a lyrics for the tune.

When
The God get the world together,
He cut a piece out from man,
So he can create the woman for him
The boys praise the Creator since
Who gave meaning to life. The
story was heard by everyone.
Some live and you can find some dead. The
world sold its soul to the Devil.
Sunday morning mass in the church.
Some young and a bunch of old.
Some believes and some swears,
That birth is the start, death is the bottom
Of life. I think they err.
This has nothing to do with years.
I hope you get what I sing.
Things anytime can catch up to you.

With sadness and happiness,
But I fight with teeth and nails,
Against life, death,
So that from the good, with a fine large spoon
The heavens give, everything
What I would like
The heavens give...

Sunday morning mass in the church.
Some young and a bunch of old.
Some believes and some swears,
That some hear his voice
And He sees everything through his heart,
And on trouble He flips the sirens.
If you reach, then He takes your hand
And lead you through everything.
With sadness and happiness,
But I fight with teeth and nails,
Against life, death,
So that from the good, with a fine large spoon
The heavens give, everything
What I would like
The heavens give...

Some with wit, some with wealth
Some with simple, empty hands.
Some knows, some understands.
Some don't scared even by death.
Some always, some once.
Some hates, some likes you.
Some against you, some for.
You get it how you asked.
Your life, you get it how you

The heavens give
Everything What I would like
The heavens give
The heavens give
...

Comments are hilarious. Tho when it comes to rock/metal someone will bring up the deep philosophical messages of the lyrics in these genre. Compared to other popular music. So not surprising. I enjoy well written verses and stanzas, and they can convey cool, even enlightening ideas, lengthy books can be such as devoid of any wisdom as full as any of these songs, but thinking a text contends with Marcus Aurelius or Lao Ce, just because it sounds cool, would be a mistake. Ofc just for its coolness can fill a need.
But what's the deep philosophical message in this: >>/49362/
1. chicks are good
2. life can be shit or good anytime in one's life
3. some think there is a higher moral guidance.
Ok. Not even that bad.

I don't think I ever listened a Black Sabbath album in full. I have respect to the forerunner metal bands, but besides Deep Purple (one album) never neither, not even Iron Maiden. Someone said, once you listened thrash, crossover, hc, and the like, it is not easy to sit through some middle tempo metal. Lotsa truth in that, luckily there are other stuff that's even slower, but pure awesomeness, so there is always hope. Anyway tuning in to Sabbat, I picked Paranoid, because I knew I was familiar with some of the songs. Oh boy, turned out almost all.

1. War Pigs/Luke's Wall
I knew this song ofc.
Awesome intro, ingenious. Not so good when the vocals start however. It's a bit downer, but then it picks it up again. Very pleasant twirls on the drums, and shifts, great solos. Longest song of the album, not boring at any point. Oh Lowdye'!
2. Paranoid
Now this one, so classic I'm bored to death by it by now.
Simple riff, quite monotone, not even 3 minutes, still feels long. The vocals is more like weird chanting. To be honest the weakest part of the album is Ozzy.
This one has a Hungarian cover with invented lyrics, that's fun, and gave it a new breath for a while.
3. Planet Caravan
I have heard this song too, was very familiar. I bet this was covered by someone somewhere too.
Chill one. Slow. Some hand thumped percussion?
4. Iron Man
Classic this one too, ofc I knew it. Well known riff. Cool solo. In the outro the bass unexpectedly gets accentuated, and loud.
5. Electric Funeral
This one is not unknown either. Quite entertaining, pulsating song. Lotsa wahwah.
6. Hand of Doom
Great intro, quiet base riff, muffled, choked, but as the song gets loud it gets a bit bothering after it looped twice. But as it quietens it's good again. This alternating volume make it sound like they play different things. Then the song takes a wild turn into an entirely different song, as if it wasn't organic whole. Then suddenly back to the original. It's a long song.
7. Rat Salad
This one is more jazz-y. Instrumental, frantic drum solo. Finally no Ozzy. Also knew this one.
8. Jack the Stripper/Fairies Wear Boots
This one also has a surprising flip into another tune, then another. But it's quite seamless, very well done. Wait. It's two songs. Everything besides the chorus part of the music is great.

All in all a quite melodic (compared to the metal I listen) tunes, felt strong blues influences. Whole thing should have been instrumental. I'm not fond of the bat snacker.
I think the two top songs are the last two. And maybe Iron Man as the third pick.

> She has nice voice, and the song doesn't feel like it has too strong Middle Eastern influences, although it inevitably has some. I don't think a Turkish song can exist without that.
> Hmm. I never listen or follow Eurovision.
We have many ways to leave our Turkish touch without traditional instruments. I don't know how, but our sub genres of rap, rock, metal, pop feels our own rather than cheap copy, which is the reason I think our people usually favor Turkish version of the subgenres. I suppose lyrics demonstrate our mentality.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=VnG09qT6xKU

 >>/50438/
I listened that song, and I see what you mean I think. In music they call it fusion, when two (or more perhaps) genre unified in songs, in our case it would be traditional/folk and any type of western. But the song you posted isn't fusion, it's western but played in a Turkish taste.
An example for fusion would be The Hu or Yoshida Brothers.
We have those cheap carbon copy crap, even with vocalist trying to sing in English - and failing. They adapted thanks for MegaStar and this singing style of trailing off, trying a soft pronunciation, but still feels fake. Back in the 90s, early 2000s it was worse, me thinks. We had those cringy boybands and shit, funny in a way.
And then there are those who don't care about English and can make their own distinct stuff. And then the fusion ofc.

 >>/50439/
Culture is a living organism, if the people immerse they create their own touch. If they don't immerse but merely envy and imitate they create cheap copies. We have cheap copies on pop but that's only genre with noticable copy represantation I think. Nowadays it's getting worse due to current political climate hurt our peoples confidence and butcher the cultural vibrancy we had.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=JJfHHmjzkjs

Btw post with Hungarian taste.

 >>/50440/
I can agree on what you write. At first I found lacking the comment that the political climate is detrimental to culture, but after thinking about it, it is probably true. Success is a fertilizer for culture, the common struggle too, but failures, discontent, turmoil, infighting leads to bastardization.

Ok, I'll look up some music. Well, try. I'm not entirely sure what Hungarians listen these days.

 >>/50444/
Haha, very good. There is a movie about the first siege of Eger (1552).

So I was looking into those songs, I found a promising one, that might be the type when it's western, but in Hungarian taste.
To be honest I just searched popular in Hungary, and I was looking through the hits a bit.
I'll post linkts to both youtube and an alternative frontend.

The female vocalist is a folk singer - she'll have her own style, the bloke, I dunno him. Seems like a very fresh song.

This sounds more like a fusion. This isn't a folk song, but I read the lyrics and it's written as if it could be, me thinks.

 >>/50445/
They are both decent, the first one may seem generic at first but there is something different that I can't name.

> Haha, very good. There is a movie about the first siege of Eger (1552).

I like heroic songs more than mehter which are written during Committee of Union and Progress rule. Original mehters are destroyed during abolishion of Jannissary corps, the sultan just brought cannons and started to blast the Jannissary headquarters so not much survived. Committee of Union and Progress written those to instill nationalistic fervour.

These folk songs are original homever, it's truly something from us rather than an attempt to reintrepret the history. The singer on the video is not even a right winger but a social democrat, which shows how it represents the people in general rather than a clique, as heroic songs should be.

 >>/50446/
> Committee of Union and Progress
So like the Young Turk movement?
> mehter
> Ottoman military band
Ah. I learn something new every day.
> The singer on the video is not even a right winger but a social democrat,
Hmm, I think there were some liberal performers who released not nationalistic, but nation centric (focusing on national feelings, or expressing criticism towards the nation and/or the country in a constructive way). I'm not entirely sure but the rap band Bälga was/is like that. I've no idea what song I could post from them that would support this guess of mine.

 >>/50479/
Young Turks is an unbrella term that is for every kind of westernized Turkish movement regardless of ideology. It's wrongly attributed to CUP only.

> Hmm, I think there were some liberal performers who released not nationalistic, but nation centric (focusing on national feelings, or expressing criticism towards the nation and/or the country in a constructive way)
That's way, that's how it should be.

> I don't get it. What's that have to do with GTA SA?

His songs are titled Grove Street, liek Grove street gang in GTA SA. I added it because of it. I dunno. And maybe you could hear those type of songs while driving in Los Santos

Then I searched a few more songs and liekd a few of them. Mayb you can play in a club or sumthin

> Original mehters are destroyed during abolishion of Jannissary corps, the sultan just brought cannons and started to blast the Jannissary headquarters so not much survived.

That sounds extreme. I think I have a polandball comic for that one. It's actually a set on Ottoman Empire history.

Been listening to a lot of music from the 40s/30s lately. I discovered some decent radios on Radio Garden that play mostly old music and some playlists on YouTube. So far I can't really mention a single group but I think there is a nice thing not knowing every single musician out there

Catchy chorus.

I listened a bit and I found it to be good background "noise". They are pleasant enough tunes, but they don't grab my attention much so aren't distracting.

 >>/51322/
Huh, he died in November. I have not listened Killing Joke at all to be honest. Would listen this particular one in Vice City.

Turns out the guitarist here >>/50885/ has another channel. Channels I guess. And the other musicians also appear in some of the songs. Several other vocalist chicks appear, perhaps searching for talents audience favor. I favor that tiny one above.
They play the songs great, I can't say anything bad about it. The looks of the videos are amateurish, but that's okay.

Yeah. It's a known song besides.
Gloria too.
I think her songs were used in movies too. I can't name one but I have the suspicion.

 >>/51383/
> Frank Zappa
I did not listen much of his stuff, but the first song feels absolute typical for some reason.
The second has a bit of medieval music feeling.

 >>/51384/
I did not like this one.

 >>/51411/
The Bandit should truck some to 'em.

I think the continuous historical failures and the institutional shaming broke them enough that when the liberal degeneracy was introduced they went bonkers 1488%.
They are into all kinds of weird stuff. Likely mix industrial with anything too, and that 90s dance fad was weird too.

Or. Perhaps it has to do something with how German brain works. They just love to measure and count and plan and engineer and all these stuff, so they are into computers a lot, which means they'll favor computer generated music instead of more intuitive, artistic genres.

 >>/51581/
I don't know, when I see them enjoying it, I get this particular eerie feeling when I speak with mentally unwell person. It's not just I dislike the genre, but deeply uncomfortable with. And believe me I endured loads of crappy genres in here.

 >>/51726/
The previous one >>/51695/ It's like a military march.
The second is more lively, but too chaotic. The basic riff is great and could fit for an Need Fors Speed game, but the vocals and other parts just aren't a good fit. It's listenable, I'm certain I'm not the target audience.

Bikini is an old Hungarian rock band formed in 1982. I never listen them beyond what they play on radio - which I've rarely listened, except these days - or played in pubs of whatever. In 2009 they published a remake of their songs on their The Very Best of Bikini album. Songs are the same lame-ish ones, but listen that solo part from ~2:10 to ~4:00; and I'm not a fan of solos.

> Is that Terry Davis on the right?

> Davis is a surname of English and Welsh origin.

> As an English surname it may be a corruption of Davy or a reference to King David in the Old Testament. As a Welsh surname may be a corruption of Dyfed, related to Irish colonists who occupied an area of southwest Wales in the late third century and established a dynasty there which lasted five centuries.

> Davis is the 45th most common surname in England and 68th most common in Wales.

> According to the 2000 United States census, it is the seventh most frequently reported surname, accounting for 0.48% of the population, preceding Garcia and following Miller.

Maybe they're distant cousins or sumthing?
