It is leaning towards Bert for now as he also has 10, but we shall see if it won't be back to Bert when full results come.
I have 1-3-4-5-6, it's something I guess. Least effort all year, still overtryharded a bit.

My car stalled when I was almost home and then I remembered my fuel gauge is broken. So I was probably out of gas again. Luckily I could restart it and I even made it to a gas station by driving very carefully. If this happened on the highway I was FUCKED

 >>/35405/
also fun fact as these lads demonstate the meta in raping is riding out of the saddle with low to medium cadence for 75-100% of a race.
A mate of mine who is a serial r*pist enlightened me on that, his indoor 20 min pb which was almost entirely out of the saddle is 22w higher than his outdoor 20 min pb. Crazy innit

 >>/35412/
no idea, apparently low cadence is more viable indoors in general compared to real cycling and in turn standing low cadence is easier to pedal than seated low cadence.
I'm not even sure if this really is widespread and not just a quirk for my mate and his goons, their sanity and thus credibility is questionable because after all they prefer to stay indoors instead of going outside.
But I did notice lots of lower cadence averages on zwift when I zwifted a lot one winter

Djien dobry! What a frantic week of racing we've had! Cyclisme is a certified world-wide pandemic in August 2025, with racing in the Arctic circle, South America, Eastern Europe, Iberian Peninsula, France, and the Himalaya all in one day!!! What a great day to enjoy another /WORLD TOUR WINE/ (bier) !!

Today's stage in the Tour de Pologne departs from Katowice (which I only know from Counterstrike tournaments) and heads south, skirting the city of Tychy where today's beer is made. Despite regal origins dating back to the early 17th century, this is now owned by the Dutch and is a mass-produced lager. It is one of the most popular Polish beers with a 20% market share. By comparison, Anheuser-Busch is at 34% in the United States (I do admit, when I drink beer at a restaurant, I do ask for a Stella Artois).

Tyskie ($3)

Pours a transparent golden color with white mousse, quickly fading. The nose is lightly hoppy, lightly sweet. The palate opens with sweet bread and finishes with light bitter hops.

Clean, fine. Not interesting.

Photo avec le chien Bruxellois. He always has an interest whenever I open a beer.

 >>/35429/
We've discussed this before, it needs to be a 1.UWT or 2.UWT race to get an entry in /WORLD TOUR WINE/. Do you think I wanted to drink that shit from South Australia or the Israeli wine I had from UAE Tour?

 >>/35415/
 >>/35408/
It's strange because I've also heard about this online, but I've never been able to replicate it IRL. For me especially power above threshold is easiest with really high seated cadence – 105-110. In longer sweetspot/threshold efforts lower cadence out of saddle efforts at around 80rpm are fine every 5-10min so that the muscles get a bit of a break. But any higher power and the standing efforts get problematic, I just burn out from doing them and it's hard to get back into the seated rhythm.

 >>/35412/
My guess would be that out of saddle recruits more muscles than seated. When you're outdoor a lot of it is lost to moving the bike around but indoor since the bike is fixed you're able to put all of it through pedals

 >>/35412/
 >>/35440/
not that hard to understand, when you dance on the pedals the momentum of your body mass goes into scoring watts instead of into the sqlab, it's literally free energy to stand at the same cadence
especially so when indoors since then it costs no effort avoiding chutes comicale

Ahhh, finally some true pisswater.
Not a whole lot to add, if I ever had a Miller, Coors, the not Czech Bud or whatever else you drink there I would probably have a comparison, it is like one of those.
 >>/35431/
We do, boom for craft beers took place around 10 years ago, it plateaued out already but the market is pretty robust.

Even more jelly than usual, have fun bert. I think good carb loading isn't that easy with Italian food since they also put lots of fat in the mix.
For me it was a nice endurance ride, mostly easy but with 40min of riding around LT1 (280W) as I felt good.

> The injuries sustained by Filippo Baroncini after his crash in the Tour of Poland are so serious that he has been kept in an induced coma. It should be immediately stated that his condition is stable, team manager Mauro Gianetti of UAE Emirates XRG told Tuttobiciweb . The worst part about it is that shimano actually did solve this issue in the old 105 rim brake

Pogi really is doing the EC RR.

I wonder if he also does the ITT. It actually looks short enough for him to beat Memco. It even has two "hills" which should help him.

 >>/35671/
Same for me. This is a vibe based competition, with a touch of insight from race log trends, team rosters and especially long term attention paying to race character and rider characteristics.
It makes me want to get that stupid ML/linear programming model up so it gets completely kwaked by a Rusbert or a Finnish rapist with a young child for whom attentionpaying is far down the importance list.

Dzień dobry and welcome to our last /WORLD TOUR WINE/ (bier) for the sensational Tour de Pologne !! We had action down to the wire this week, with another legendary performance from handsome man Brandon MCNULTY to take the stage and GC victory!

Today's beer is brewed just down the road from today's ITT in Wieliczka.

Okocim O.K. Beer ($3.59)

This is a Polish Pilsner, brewed by Okocim since 1945. Pours a light honey gold with fine white mousse which fades quickly. The nose is a bit flat - just the barest hint of grass and malt. The palate is clean, lightly sweet, pleasing grassy hops.

Just fine, well put together. The highlight of the beer is the can, which I really love. We had four (4) biers for the Tour de Pologne, none of which were really great, but none of which were bad (maybe that imperial stout was...)

Look out for another sensational edition of /WTW/ next weekend with the return of the much-lauded Hamburg CYCLASSICS race!

Vin for sure. German wine super underrated internationally. Then we bounce back to bier in Belgium, then should be wine for the rest of the year.

But I do need to source some reasonably priced Chinese wine, because all I can find in US is literally $300/btl and has shit reviews.

I woke up 3:30-4am almost every day for more than a decade in grad school and early career. It's fine, go to sleep early. You'll feel normal after a shower and a couple good cups of coffee.

Official Statement on Filippo Baroncini's Medical Update from UAE CEO Mauro Gianetti 🎙️
"Unfortunately, Filippo Baroncini is being kept in an induced coma for his health.
It's not life-threatening - that's the most important thing.
He has some facial damage, injuries to his eyes, and also damage to a lung. He has two vertebrae broken as well.
At the moment he is stabilized, and we will transport him today to Italy.
If everything goes well, he will undergo surgery on his face and spine."

2026 world tour ride snacks edition? I guess importing alcohol is easier than perishable food from around the world. should work at least for the majority of European races. so if any of you have any ideas for Australia, UAE (no Dubai chocolate please), Canada (I'll just have Belgian fries and claim it to be Poutine) and China (aliexpress/temu food is totally safe...) go ahead

 >>/35785/
Me neither, barely had 8 hours of sleep the last 5 years. The gist of it is to try and do as much half-awake, low heart rate rest as much as possible while you can't sleep or can't get back to sleep.

> 2.15.037 The licence shall be automatically revoked in the event that the licence holder files for bankruptcy or is declared bankrupt, or in the event that any other measure or regime is applied under which the holder loses control of the licence.

 >>/35947/
> 2.15.061 The paying agent must remain the same throughout the period of validity of the UCI WorldTour licence issued for the team, including during the period of any renewals, except with the agreement of the Professional Cycling Council.
‘paying agent’ is the legal entity that owns that team, it can be a number of things but any changes to it that would amount to buying a license would have to be done ‘with the agreement of the Professional Cycling Council.’ In short UCI gets to decide arbitrarily.

 >>/35948/
It's just that cycling teams change names and sponsors all the time. So all the Wanty riders will join Lotto and the legal entity of the team, let's call it Team Wanty, is now empty with no riders. Q36.5 takes over sponsoring of this legal entity, and all their runners will transfer from the old Q36.5 to 'Team Wanty', which will now be renamed 'Team Q36.5'. I think that is sort of how it works

 >>/35953/
they still have to fulfill all contract obligations, so they would have to reach a separate deal with all of their riders/sponsors. you can't just transfer from the 'old' team to the 'new' team unless everyone under contract at the 'old' team agrees to terms. afaik there is no process for this sort of thing, nor do I see why the UCI would have a specific process for it

 >>/35955/
if they're contractually guaranteed future money they would be stupid to not shakedown for at least a cut of that. especially so if they're a shitter who no one else will pay.

dopage is very gay nowadays
dopage used to be raw and cool
we need to make dopage great again

do you not remember the start of the season where we all agreed that the /cyc/ GC winner is given a brand new VAN RYSEL RCR, funded by all the losing berts? I distinctly remember. there are big stakes my friejnd

 >>/36217/
I spoke about that on multiple occassions already, however, it's like 36 degrees tomorrow so I wouldn't be caught riding 120 km to throw a piss bottle at visma train anyway

63 kg Corbin STRONG does 490w for 8 minutes (7.78 w/kg) and I only hear about it now (I didn't watch the race)? And he lost to pidkwab? What a sport

VERY fraudulent startlist, compared to last year
No wonder local berts pay no attention to it, can't really blame them
If gloglo doesn't win by 30 minutes he's a fraud

Semerckx has signed with Bahrain which means he already lost 10% power in time trials. Wærenskjold is out of GC so his motivation is low. Easy MWW as warmup for his Euro Champ attempt.

That your bike? I had this happen to my Ritchey a few years ago, luckily the rack broke right away so it didn't damage the car. Got a huge dent in the downtube as a result, haven't ridden this outside since and it's now my dedicated raper bike

> In an interview with the Swiss newspaper Tages Anzeiger, Reusser—who is a trained physician as well as a cyclist—expressed concern. “We secretly hoped she wouldn’t win. Pauline has set a new standard. If others follow her example, it puts pressure on all cyclists. If you put on a jersey and are visibly proud that it’s too big, that sends a message. A teammate told me that Pauline measures her skinfold and then decides whether she can eat breakfast. As a fellow athlete, I admire her. As a physician, I worry. Is it truly harmless if the deficit is only short-lived? Where is the line between smart performance management and harm?”

hypnoqueen has spoken, no more getting skinny

alright so the skelly era that is now coming will further diminish interest in femme cycling because most of them are already not particularly attractive and almost all of them look like crippled goblins on the bike. If you turn the already very small, not particularly pretty ciclistas with their wide ass clown handlebars into female froomedawgs its over, you can't even goon to this anymore.
Compare pfp after """""roubaix""""" to pfp after the """""tdf""""". Both of these pictures are from 2025 jesus christ somebody give her a schnitzel

> Tanfield, however, rode a very flat effort. His fastest and slowest laps were separated by a maximum of one and a half seconds. The Briton ultimately completed a distance of 53.967 kilometers. This still put Tanfield further ahead than Rohan Dennis and Alex Dowsett, although their attempts were ten years ago. It's the seventh-longest distance ever.

holy kwab, imagine wasting months on this
I guess track riders don't have much to do in their lives

as expected
after that kwabbening (or maybe before) Richardson beat the flying 200 world record. 8.041 seconds for 200m which is an average speed of 80.5 km/h. Imagine the watts
he's had that record a year or two ago for a total of like 30 seconds until lavreysen took it from him.

they meaning the eternal Anglo cooked up a new custom bike for the occasion. Also I fatfingered a 0 instead of a 9 but the correct time is in the picture anyways. Also Richardson used to be Aussie but he's a true Brit now

Speaking of Chinese, races like Tour of Magnificent Qinghai (2.Pro) have the most diverse field of riders I've ever seen

The women just don't train that much (or didn't used to), they had one real col that decided the tour and half of them hadn't even done recon judging from the interview.
I remember a few years ago where it was discussed where van vleuten was almost 10k training kms ahead of someone like vollering by the tdf and people were wondering why an old hag could take minutes on 2nd, like no shit.

 >>/36361/
yeah sure but there's no way she trained with skipping breakfast, sure she lost weight and was already skinny but come on
they didn't even do something like that in the froome days

> wake up
> check your skinfolds
> no breakfast if you're too FAT
> 1.5h fasted ride
> eat meal
> do normal training ride
if the skinfolds allow it you eat breakfast and do your normal training ride but if she's too FAT then its 90 mins fasted spinning beforehand. This sounds realistic

> "Ferrand-Prévot has set a new standard. If drivers are so successful with this, it puts us all under pressure."
women annoyed that someone tried harder then them so now they have to try too. every knew voice in this story makes it even more pathetic

 >>/36368/
jealousy innit
but pfp looked normal during all of her career and turned into a ghoul to smash them at the tour so she gave them an opening else they would have nothing to cry about. Skinny midgets all looked like that and probably starved themselves forever
