I actually wanted to include Estonians into that category, but the issue is that Estonia's territory would be separate from the rest, which causes annoying problems in the game engine (that's why France is inexplicably connected with the UK as well).

>>/45301/
How about Magyar Neo-Khanate? :^)
Which territories should it include?

I wanted to make a more serious thread about a very concerning topic regarding kohl and hope that someone can assist me or I can assist them.

I browse kohl's /int/ board sporadically and lurk threads for regular assberger things - plants, bugs, Ukrainian vs Russian threads, etc

I've noticed that every time I go, my browser cache(I use Firefox) gets bigger but I can't get rid of it. It only happens when I visit that site. So I went there a few years ago to see a very innocuous thread about blimps. Nothing really too interesting. After I closed it, my cache increased by 1mb in my computer.

There is no way I can get rid of it. Wanted to ask if bernds also had this issue

That should always be step number one. JavaScript is bad news and should only be permitted sparingly. The default, everything allowed, all the time, is an exercise of retardation.

There's so much glowposting going on here giving bad advice.

ITT: real, mundane photographs appearing in the news (so newsworthy people) with "kino" value i.e. with enough aesthetic value to look like movie stills or paintings.
I just love these. The silhouettes of these poorly lit men strike and contrast against the background of the dark blue sky and the shining glare of the city far below. At the center lies a mad man, overflowing with spirit, clearly making an inspired speech to his followers, one of which plays a horn in the background. In the second picture the contrast is emphasized further in a clever game of black silhouettes. In the third, once again there are only silhouettes but the background is simpler and the sole lightning is the glare of the leader's cellphone through the fog. It's brilliant.

*sighs

Well bernds, I'm bumping my lil thread >>/32287/ up again to, sadly, inform you about my encounter with Irish "people". They were around me for only a little while (they had to leave) but it feels like I've known them a lifetime. The 5-10 Irish I've met were superbly rude and dumb. They just lived like such disgusting slobs and would always get into fights with people over absolutely every lil thing. They kept an extremely butthurt aura around them and would also keep a similar expression in their faces the entire time I knew them. Just announcing to the world that they're just unpleasant to be around. And other people I've know have also had the same issues tbh. It is not an isolated experience.

As far as their women go >>/41196/
The one Irish women I knew recently was a complete drunk. She would always be getting wasted and acting like such a sad slob. It was disgusting to look at. ngl she had a like a factory of alcohol around her all the time and would always drink herself silly. Liek, how do you even drink that much and so frequently? She had wayyy too many problems and was super scatterbrained. Always forgetting about things or showing up raly late to things tbh. The other Irish women were mega bitches and would act cold to practically everyone around them.

And I saw someone on /kc/ a lil while ago asking how it would feel like to be with a Ginger women. Liek, all women are the same for the most part. Gingers (Not Viking Redhaired women tbh) are actually kinda worse IMHO. A lot of attitude and a heap of personal issues. Blondes are better tbh. Well, any women at this point.

I guess the entire moral of my lil story is this: be careful what you wish for. You may end up getting it. Along with all of the side effects of your choice

Maybe I should give Scottish or Welsh people a look into. They're probably a lil nicer

>>/44535/
Tough experiences, must have been discouraging.
There are other Irish people, who have to be different. But stereotypes have basis, something must be behind the drunkard quarreler one too.

>>/44536/
> Scottish
I dunno. They say something about that in Trainspotting, no?
Although I think these days the English consider Scotts kinda chill.

>>/44545/
> Tough experiences, must have been discouraging.

Yes. It really was

> Although I think these days the English consider Scotts kinda chill.
Maybe. I'll have to see it first hand before making an opinion

> There are other Irish people, who have to be different. But stereotypes have basis, something must be behind the drunkard quarreler one too.

I think I've had enough experiences with Irish "people" at this point. Sorry to disagree with you on that one

Erdogan has met Putin and ironed out the partition of northeastern Syria. He gets to keep everything he conquered and the rest stays with Assad. YPG retreats from a 30km strip along the border, leaving the bulk of Kurdish-populated areas. Russo-Turkish patrols guard the safe zone. The deal shows two things:
By inviting Assad the SDF have completely relinquished their sovereignty. This was why they were so relutanct to receive aid during Olive Branch. As long as Erdogan maintains good relations with Assad and Putin, YPG will no longer bother him. If, however, relations sour then he can even expect a repeat of the 90s, when Hafez sheltered Ocalan and allowed PKK to use Syria as its base of operations.
The deal was discussed with Putin, not Assad. It's also clear who calls the shots.

For locals conquered by Peace Spring, the problem is not Turkey itself but its Syrian rebel puppets, who are thugs and mistreat the population, as has already been the case in Afrin. For the war as a whole, peace is now closer. Once Idlib is sorted out, a simple deal with Turkey can grant Assad the whole country except for al-Tanf.

I was also in Tunisia not that long before, in 2009. Dad asked about it as well and got similar answer – that people might be frustrated by it, but the good side is that the country is stable and that they don't have groups kidnapping tourists or stuff.

>>/44577/
>>/44581/
Not every country can afford to have demoracy. Security first demoracy later, otherwise you get arab spring.

To get demoracy you need to have independent educated middle class otherwise you will get at best tyranny of majority. The countries are forced to have democracy not because people reached a conclusion it's because USA tyrantly forces it and benefits from corrupt, sell out governments not to mention US defition is demoracy is more or less related with their ability of enforcing their financial and media power.

Reached bump limit within this thread. New Syria/third world conflict thread is needed.

>>/44586/
> the country is stable and that they don't have groups kidnapping tourists or stuff.
Now they have the reverse.

>>/44588/
> US defition is demoracy
Something similar came to mind as I read your post. The definition of democracy, how it is interpreted, and everyone (well, the West) is trying to make their definition exclusive.
For example the system Gaddhafi created, the Jamahiriya, was highly decentralized with opportunities for the populace to get involved in politics directly. It is criticized however because he implemented redundancies which allowed him influence making him a de facto leader without being one in name. I have no information how well or bad the system actually worked, but Lybia - thanks to the oil - was wealthy country, with some level of comfort.

Too many refugees for feeble amount of Merkel bribes. Even the Afgans are coming, we can't handle it anymore, your shitty is about to trigger a civil war and they are as guilty as ErdoÄŸan. We host more than %50 of worldd refugees it will eventually bite Europe bad. When shit hits the fan blame your politicians for buying out erdoÄŸan instead of encouraging their permanent return in syria, which doesnt happen as EU is supportive of YPG/PKK's ethnic cleansing in favor of kurds, so we can resettle arabs without hitting kurds but if we do that it's anudda genocide, that's what your unbiased media says.

> I wonder if Attila is pure blooded ugoric name.
For the origin of the name usually two views are noted. One it's Germanic origin, from Gothic Atta = father. The other is the Etele/Itil/Etil, which is one of the big rivers in Southern Russia, usually the Volga I think, but maybe the Don (one of the Dons, we went through that topic somewhere else on this board).
One thing what they never consider that maybe Atta is father in Gothic, but atya is father in Hungarian as well (which is an ancient Uralic word, most likely in ata form, perhaps even the name of the river comes from this).

>>/44525/
Ata means father in Turkish.

> Etele/Itil/Etil
Yeah, in Turkish we call him Atilla, not Attila. Which is closer to Etilli, Ä°tilli etc. Which means from Etil (volga). It is most likely not his real name, rather his cognomen.

Maybe Uralic ata and Turkic one is unrelated, maybe coincidence or.. Atilla is meant to be perfect case for Uralic-Altai language group thesis. it's a mystery

>>/44526/
> Ata means father in Turkish.
Oh yes I forgot.
Hence one hypothesis says it's German in origin, and the other Turkish.
Maybe he was born at the Volga. We don't know the extent of the Hun Empire towards the East (they usually just draw the line at the Volga, but the only thing we actually know they crossed it about 370-375). And we even have less idea about it's northern borders.
It seems like Attila's palace in the Carpathian basin was a western "command post" where he directed the campaigns from (where Priscus visited him), and not his capital, which was back somewhere in the Pontic Steppes. Maybe at the Volga, the later Khazar capital.

I'm not an expert on China at all, so half of statements here are assumptions, but I'll try to start.

First the official story about how China became economic powerhouse and pretended to world leadership.

After Mao period with hardcore stalinism and local craziness like Cultural Revolution with destruction of everything or killing sparrows because they are pests, China was in pretty bad economical condition. Government even had no proper statistics about economics, local government official were corrupted and selfish as always, there were food shortage and overall goods deficit - typical for planned economies.

Deng Xiaoping and his political group took control of Communist party, replacing old Mao faction, and started to do economic reforms, program called "reforms and openness". First they took agricultural sector. In 1978-1984 government replaced communes and brigades in agriculture with formally private plots of lands for families and local collectives.

In all parts of economics there was process of decentralization, local management got more freedom, private-like enterprises were allowed in some form. There still was a planned process with mix of fixed and market prices, different types of control from state and other thing, but overall economy moved from planned socialism to state capitalism. Foreign investment was supported, free economic zones were created.

Economy became more market in 1990, when system slowly transformed from plan-market mix to market with heavy government control, without noticeable plan part. Even typical capitalist traits are emerged, like income inequality and liquidation of inefficient, but important factories (that is always a heavy hit to local population).

Yet growth was tremendous. China transformed from mostly agrarian state with ruined economy to industrial and scientific leader. While in 80-90s it was just an outsourcing that was loved by everyone by cheap labor and low bureaucratic restrictions, now it is independent and self-sufficient country that actually competes with "old leaders" even in innovation. And even considering income inequality and some social problems, average Chinese now lives much better than in past. It is hard to compare average numbers like GDP per capita or wage, because China is too large, but there are plenty of places where average wage is already about 1000$. Different sources say that population already have income comparable with EU periphery.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_economic_reform

Actually, it would be better to see someone with Chinese background to discuss this, because China is pretty "closed" to outsiders, but has large amount of historical materials and cultural things that we don't know.

Many western think thanks and news channels are very biased despite being private owned, in fact I can't recall any unbiased one. It's just pot calling kettle black because a particular group makes their propoganda in a less obvious way which is mistaken for "totally not propoganda".

>>/44352/
Australia's national broadcaster is actually the least biased Australian media due to the fact that it is state run and therefore not beholden to the support of mining companies or any other company so it will even criticise the government for their close relationship with said mining companies.

Wanted to find a site dedicated to Chinese issues, but from the other side of the fence. My search was unsuccessful. However I figured, the most closely involved countries' papers must have dedicated Chinese blocks, or at least more frequently publish news about China.
Three examples.
https://www.japantimes.co.jp/
https://www.hindustantimes.com/
https://hongkongfp.com/
Beside these it would be nice to find Taiwanese and South Korean news sites in English, maybe from some other countries as well.

This one basically monitors the Chinese internet censorship:
https://en.greatfire.org/
And here's a list about the blocked websites:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_websites_blocked_in_mainland_China
Mysteriously blocking this one guy from Nepal:
https://kiranpantha.com.np/
https://blog.kiranpantha.com.np/
What's up with this?
