you don't understand it's the KICK of true goombling that compels one to pick Rogla, once you've felt that rush you just have to get more. Yes Roglic likely won't make it and we will be angry, yes he likely will chute but what if he makes it through what if he does well? What if pog and vingo fuck up and he rakes in the points??
Imagine the tremendous euphoria of S. YATES betters while he put minutes into the LATAMs after they put 1k on him when his odds were at like 21 because it seemed like del TORO's victory was guaranteed. This is true goombling

do I lose my velopoints if I pick a rider that is obviously doped to the brim for the tour and he actually gets caught, because French police didn't do any of those funny bus raids in a while and maybe ASO has some dirt on a specific team that wants to establish that one cycling thing so they tipped off WADA and French police.

Turns out my yahoo only wobbles beyond acceptable levels on an extra mount on my mtb, it is sits more than well enough on the main mount on me roubay.
No splurge on gombuder then, for now.

 >>/21335/
I should but my commute is already quite long so it's hard to combine both. Kinda stuck around 300 FTP, but honestly that's enough for what I do (long ride alone). Maybe if I had some friends to drop I could get motivated

 >>/21413/
well, it's an automated system, there are still 2 laps to go. don't know why the lap 10 results were shown as final result. and that Darbellay guy isn't a junior, but some club shitter who did a season for Corractec.

 >>/21451/
remco was strong, he just attacked twice every lap while his gold helmet was cooking him alive which meant he had jack shit left in the end
then when the decisive move happened nobody worked with him because he's remco and seething ensued

 >>/21449/
the shift is that he's gone from a race-to-win attitude that aligns with the spirit of the sport, to the assumption that he should be able to win and therefore if he doesn't it was due to outside factors. i blame that bitch oumi, or maybe he was just always like this and this is the closest thing he's faced to competitive hardship in the sport, at least with his giro blues of times gone by he had the excuse of being a teenager, now he's run out of excuses. a humbling is in order.

 >>/21464/
Jan is a really terrible classics rider/bike handler for how good his watts are. the epitome of his rider profile is in fleche when he shredded the peloton for pog and then almost crashed him in the descent into the mur.

I thought he would bolt once I stopped but he wasn't very phased by me, kinda wanted to come closer to him but leaving him alone won.
This is also kinda the main promenade/bike path going down souf so he has to be accustomed to people.
Beaver was videotaped at the higher dot, sheep and a goat at the lower dot.

> ✅ Summary (in simple words):
> The user is making a joke. They’re saying that when talking about something that feels like a repeated embarrassment (a “humiliation ritual”), they might as well just show a picture of Wout van Aert — because he's often seen as a symbol of always coming close but not quite winning.

holy fuck even ai knows about w*ut

17C at 7 o'clock and not only is this nothing like all your hell on earth down souf, I have to revise my plan to go to the beach immediately after gym at 12 o'clock, it may not be that great to dip while it is just warm enough, not hot.
All on company time of course.

> Tim Wellens: "Paul Van den Bosch (his former trainer) recently asked me that question too. I've done so many heat training sessions on the rollers this year. It was so tough, I suffered immensely."

Heatmaxxing bros, we just keep on winning

 >>/21563/
It's not about giving up your own chances for nothing.
You risk your secondary placement for a chance to win. But don't worry it will never happen because riders and sports directors are way too risk averse to do that. Especially in Tour de France with all that sponsor money on the line.

 >>/21565/
You don't decide who wins beforehand. What happens happens and it might be you winning and it might not be. If riders keep attacking UAE eventually one might get away. If you don't do this you have a 0% chance of winning. If you do this you have a small chance of winning which is better than nothing.

Personally I really liked the way Carapaz raced in the Giro. He knew that he had to risk dropping from 2nd to 3rd if he wanted a chance at getting 1st. He could have helped Del Toro catch Yates to protect his 2nd place but that meant giving up his chances of winning. The majority of riders would rather fight for secondary placements because it's safer than going for the win (see G2 syndrome in every race ever).

 >>/21569/
I mean it's not so relevant these days because Pogi is too strong. Even if every other GC captain attacked in turn and they didn't reel each other in Pogi could just drop them all whenever he wanted to. But I'm not against the sentiment of banding together against one very dominant team if that's the only option for winning.

 >>/21570/
Sure what carapaz did was fine, but in the case of Horner's retarded take the gap between jonas and the rest is bigger than the gap between him on pogi so it makes 0 chances for people to help him. Also every team hates visma because they ride like retards

> Beispiel: Für 120 g Carbs → ca. 1,45 Liter YO Sirup (pur, unverdünnt) pro Stunde nötig.
> Das ist nicht realistisch – zu viel Volumen, zu süß, zu wenig Elektrolyte.
1.5l of PURE sirup, to reach 120 g carbs per hour. how is that even remotely possible?

 >>/21591/
sirup is about 70-80% sugar. it makes for a good basis for your bidon if you aim for 60g per bottle. but it gets really sweet above 1/6 sirup to water ratio. you can add salt and magnesium for electrolytes yourself and add malotodextryn to add more carbs.
if you are a super cheapskate you use raw sugar, but sirup gives you some aroma and you can use different sirups to have some variation.

 >>/21588/
No saar, this is a pure mtb Spez Rockhopper with a comfy front rack for that bag which is easy to take off or rerack and doubles as a shoulder bag.
The rear isn't even a panier mount, just an extra space for some bag or a MIK mount (which won't fit now) but I bought it as an extra structure to keep the fender rigid.
Because I like not being splashed but hate protruding wobbly chinesium.
It is my ol trusty shopping cart bike which I will also sometimes take for off-road rides.

I am back, on the left beach chair there is a girl, she eventually switch off to a towel, prone, and had a GREAT ass.
Also what is it with zoomettes, the all have basically thongs as the bottom of the swim suit.
No decency at all.

Also fan favourite Steffen CRAS is IN.

have any runners gone out into the media saying they will try for KOM. I know cararat did but he's currently serving time in a WADA blacksite. this is very important for goombling

EF is a fun team, but I wish he had a real squad around him when he goes for GCs -- UAE domestiques dominating earlier stages is probably what sealed it; the La Vuelta is going to be tough but he can at least podium if Pog and Vinegar go and can probably win it if they don't

There is merit to taking protein mid-ride but it's more in the BIG rides, 6h+, 4500kJ+ etc. so that the body doesn't use up muscle protein. I often bring a small bag of whey and drink it when I top up my bottles after 3-4h, or then I just buy a small protein bar with 20g protein for like 1.5e. Don't know why you would put it in the drink mix itself though

 >>/21672/
I usually don't wear gloves because I don't like the deadening/damp feeling they give. But I feel like I should wear them to protect hands if I fall.

Any recs for good low profile gloves that aren't too thick to protect hands?

All the action is the first week so even if this would be true and he doesn't want to see Hautacam - thanks Timmey, I almost surely got 600 off of you, maybe 800. Not ideal (a 100 velopoints per velobuck is the goal) but this is as much as you get for a sprinter.

I tried a new hydration strategy today - basically drinking twice as much as usual, to around 1.5l per hour, made me first sugar flask and added around 1g of salt per hour. complete game changer! I felt like I had infinite power on the climbs (got PRs on all climbs except one), sweated less, and next to zero fatigue. after this torty egg ride I actually feel fresh and could easily add another torty eggs to me basket

tl;dr I was riding dehydrated for 20+ years and just now realized it

All the small villages I go thru on me rides are DEAD, I don't know where these people shop, they probably don't. Not even small vietnamese nonstops exist anymore. In czech'em, you either go to gigantic markets (we call them hypermarket for some reason) or you have all your groceries delivered. Out of 100 cagies you meet, half of them are purple vans delivering groceries to some stay at home soccer mom.

 >>/21820/
I literally just got me groceries for the week delivered. I do it every now and then because the variety is so much better than in the stores. got meself some nice salmon steaks, fresh baguettes, graukäse etc.. all not available in the stores

 >>/21823/
I do this too except for vegetables which I get in the local veggie store on the way home.
The grocery is always so famished but their online catalogue is like four times as large for non perishable stuff, also easy to budget an prep meals

 >>/21825/
Stop working soulless 9 to 5s. I go to my local Aldi either when opening or at around 11am. Colruyt is always russian roulette, can be busy or calm at any time.
This works for everything, not just supermarkets. 9 to 5 wagecucking just makes you lose more free time in every aspect of your life, from traffic to shopping.

I went outside ( its 39 ), walked for a few seconds and came inside immediately. The tour is lucky the heatwave will have stopped before the depart, because honestly under direct sunshine its probably around 45. You can't ride like that, nor live really.

Looking at the map of NZ, it's really a shame it was colonized by the angl*s. They really don't care about mountains, hiking or anything.
NZ should have been colonized by germans, austrians or the swiss. Even the czechs would probably do a better job. So many mountains and there's like 100 km of trails.

 >>/21820/
When our kid was born bertina wanted me to stop going to the grocery store and just use delivery as we had so little free time and using it for doing groceries seemed wasteful. But I didn't want to, like you I wanted to pick and choose the individual groceries. Now that the kid is older I always go shopping with her since she likes to explore the store and talk about everything she sees. And these days bertina even likes it since it's 1h more free time for her when the kid and I are there, hehe.
 >>/21799/
Very good bert! I think this is the case for most everyone. Every bert ITT should do simple hydration testing: weigh yourself before the ride, then after the ride, and account for the water drunk during riding. When I started testing I quickly realised I need way more water than I thought, even during leisurely 1h recovery rides I was sweating around 0.8l per hour, and much much more during threshold efforts. On long rides these days I use two 1l bottles on my frame and a 2l hydration backpack, and I am refilling all of that after around 3h.

 >>/21936/
It's a photo from my local radio page but I have seen enough burger and leaf vids to stop in my tracks and commence a tactical retreat if I ever ran into one.
Makes me now a little bit weary of innawoods when I start sleeping again and there is a point going.

 >>/21948/
It's fine, went tru tree, just came back. If I had access to all the low-ish alcohol content but good quality, great summer drinks like a limoncello, like a lambrusco, pinot grigio, a good vinho verde, a calvados, I would be a full blown alcoholic.

The last unclassed slot conundrum.
Can't be really satisfied with Barré or Wright, this is not Suisse to pick Simmons or Askey. Tronchon, Berthet will give a bunch of decent top 20 places but near zero points.
Cri-Rod? Zim-Zim? Anders Halland?

Nice trips

I just don't understand why the Burger schizo won't leave. Just posts pics of same people over and over again with minimal engagement until he spergs out due to lack of attention, gets banned, and is back in a day

I just got issued a warning on 4chings for offtopic.
The moderation is a joke, i make one post out of thousands talking about remco's wife and i'm warned while schizos posts all day long.

Have we ever heard him say he feels good before a race?

Even when he wins a stage he'll say he wasn't feeling that good half the time.

I swear, in a 60-day season, only twice or thrice will he say he has good legs.

> Anyone who knows Van Aert a little knows that he is always the best version of himself in the Tour de France. The question remains: can the Belgian from Visma | Lease a Bike also go for his own chances? 'Wout is someone who will always help his team, but you have to give him his chances', says Vanmarcke. 'He has too many qualities for that. It is important to sprint a few times to maintain the feeling of mixing it up. If he were the only leader, he could win the first ten stages, but at the same time the arrivals are uphill for Vingegaard to lose positions and time.'

 >>/22038/
It's weird to see them getting rid of some decent runners like Armirail, Godon and Berthet. And Vendrame has been with the team for so long.
I understand they want to become a top team with the new investments they've gotten but they'll still need some helpers for whoever they sign on. Maybe they were overpaid and didn't want to accept lower wages?

Its a city in Galicia.
Pretty much like Brittany in France its the very north west of Spain, both of Celtic origins.
And just like Brittany it has a very particular micro climate, Coruña (or La corogne in french ) never gets too hot in summer ( you won't get past 25 degrees ) and in winter it never gets too cold ( never below 5 ), also unlike most of spain you get a decent amount of rain, making the region pretty green and being home to the Galician beef which is really, really tasty.

I’m on top of a mountain there’s a ski complex and it’s completely abandoned it’s also misty feels like i’m on silent hill you can tell they stop activity around february going of the calendars on the walls. there’s a few tents of fellow perdu’s

Btw is broken glass on the ground the first sign of coming enrichment?
I see broken glass on the ground almost every day.
I have to watch out when I ride on the streets because there will be broken glass right in the gutter but not on the sidewalk. Do these subhumans drive cars with their hand extended, holding a beer in a bottle, and just nonchalantly drop it with zero force, just a release?

Before you could find broken glass only in hobo spots or sometimes around a shop hobos frequent.

And by subhumans I mainly understand ukies, but sudacas are infesting my place more and more.

> Because of that crash during training, I didn’t have the winter training I needed. We’ll have to take it day by day. And accept how the Tour will go. I’m going to tackle the Tour like everyone else will. Day by day and survive. It will be important to stay out of trouble in the first ten days,” he continues. According to Evenepoel, the Tour de France only really starts after the first rest day on Wednesday. “Then we’ll get to the Pyrenees. And then there’s also that third week. In short, this Tour will also be about patience.”
> Evenepoel nevertheless indicates a little later that he will ride more aggressively in 2025. “At least more aggressively than in 2024. I am not coming to the Tour to ride around a bit. The signals in recent weeks have been okay. A podium place and a stage win is a realistic ambition, I think.”
The dude was racing 3 month ago. You'd think he'd be in shape by now

> To the outside world, it seemed that De Lie was fighting the clock to get to the start of the Tour in the right shape. The former Belgian champion himself seems convinced. "The sensations are good. In the Tour of Switzerland, things went better and better, at the Belgian Championship I was good. Honestly: I am very happy with the shape I came here with. Three months ago, I would not have thought that I would be able to go to the Tour with this feeling."
> And so De Lie does not hide his ambitions. Last year, also after a difficult pre-season, he immediately achieved two third places in his Tour debut. "The challenge now is to use the experience from back then. Both the mistakes I made back then, and what I did right back then. Participating in the Tour was such a big dream that I sometimes had doubts last year. That I was too scared to start my sprint. Without that hesitation, there might have been more in it last year. I only missed a few details."
De lie bros, how are we feeling?
