Thats about the average size of all the ones I've downloaded. I usually use yt-dlp since it uses ffmpeg in the same way but does a second pass on the file for mp4 container optimizations like moving the moov atom to the front, giving it a structure like this

ffmpeg can move the moov atom to the front with -movflags +faststart before the output filename, but yt-dlp knows how to exclude a few small unnecessary atoms. My mpv script adds

-empty_hdlr_name true -use_editlist false -write_btrt false -write_tmcd false

to my ffmpeg commands to exclude some of those unneeded atoms, but occasionally I need to set the editlist option to true for the timestamps to come out right.

On a whim, I tried to curl youtube.com while logged in to tilde.club, and it worked. I don't know why youtube doesn't block them like they block vern.cc and my digitalocean & linode servers, but this is very fortuante. We have view counts again. I've even set up the 10 day delay on updating the view counts a 2nd time to maintain a "fair" count.

over the last month I've had to add --ytdl-raw-options=downloader-args='ffmpeg_i1:-http_persistent 0' to my mpv command lines when watching wni streams to prevent ffmpeg from trying and failing to keep a persistent connection to a particular youtube stream server, which caused timestamp discontinuities and unwatchably jumpy playback. It's the solution I found to this problem https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/8500

Happy first day of the year to everybody (included anons who are still living 2025)!

This is in response to:
https://warosu.org/jp/thread/50499790#p50529165
https://boards.4chan.org/jp/thread/50499790#p50529165

- I wrote a query to give me daily views for all the data we have.
- I then abused a financial charting library to apply a 30 day (blue) and 90 day (orange) moving average to the views.
- The attached pic is the result.
- There's a legend in the top-left corner, and clicking on the "WNI 1d" will hide the view data and make the chart easier to read by shifting focus to the moving averages.

A static export of the chart can be seen here:
http://tilde.club/~gg/wn/wn-daily-views.html

 >>/2113/
The raw data came from this query.

SELECT DATE(jst, '+9 hours') AS datejst,
       SUM(view_count) AS daily_views
  FROM schedule
 WHERE segment_id IN (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
   AND view_count IS NOT NULL
 GROUP BY datejst
 ORDER BY jst;

they’ve been removing funny and quirky segments inside the shows, even caster’s free talks usually happening on the top of the hour are allocated less time; besides most special parallel streams for holidays, valentine’s, halloween, xmas, gaming, tieups, dating fantasy walks, etc, have been removed and only a few things survive sponsored by au (most of those shorts could be way better)? they’re gradually becoming a straight weather service, maybe we won’t have even a calendar next year, the solive spirit is extinguishing

 >>/2121/
forgot to mention they now lack an ‘ace’ like sayachi nonchan ayame, no caster is being treated better than others and they’re almost mathematically giving the same share of tieups, special outside streams, meteor shower location stuff, etc., no miniskirts no sexy outfits, etc

^-- This is something new I introduced when I moved the data collection system over to tilde.club. When the system notices a schedule change, it emits a cancel file. This then gets inserted into the cancellation table like before. I never did anything with this info, but it's there for anyone who's curious.

In this example:
- aohara2023 (caster_id: 13) was supposed to do Morning (segment_id: 2) on 2026-01-08T08:00:00+09:00.
- uozumi filled in for her instead.

Non has been at the Salon too (as a visitor, of course)
PS: I had to rely on sotwe again because nitter doesn't upload images for some reason

I noticed a new genre of image posting on twitter today. They often have some variation of タップすると in the text of their tweet.

1st example
https://x.com/ra_mm062/status/2009981506924827054
This girl took into account the gaps that twitter places between images.

2nd example
https://x.com/yoruneko_milk/status/2009981204884533480
This girl didn't care about the gap.

Question:
https://x.com/Mia_KB_/status/2010132297572589975
Why didn't the trick work for this girl? Her four images don't get stacked vertically like in the first two examples.

 >>/2197/
Another curious thing is that #1 does a reverse stack whereas #2 does a forward stack.

Here are a few more examples from this genre.
https://x.com/misojiyuu/status/2010136125906829366
https://x.com/amatsu_pukupu/status/2009939298037182478

https://x.com/kusophoto/status/2010243143648850227

I have to use x.com links, because nitter.net doesn't have this image stacking behavior that current x.com does. (This trick feels really fragile. I can totally see it stop working at some point in the future, but it works for now.)

This one is really creative, because in grid form, the image is already complete. However, a surprise is revealed when each individual picture is opened. Whoever made this has a deep understanding of Twitter's thumbnail creation process.

I found an explanation.
https://roboin.io/article/en/2026/01/11/how-to-stack-images-vertically-on-x-and-common-issues-explained/

If it's not working, reason's why could include the following.
- You're not a paid user.
- You're trying to post from a mobile device. (It seems to be a desktop-only capability.)

they just announced Sora and this Platinum Production talent are the new Stanley girls this year. It'll be nice to see Sora in new colors black and orange.

I had the same issue (it started on Sunday's afternoon)
> It seemed like it was on autosage
Probably yes, because I tried to post on another board (choosing a thread at page 2) and that thread bumped correctly after my post
PS: I'm typing from phone, by the way (I'm saying that because another anon answered to me that it happened to him too on mobile version of the site)

Something that I've wanted to do is be able to take arbitrary Japanese text and split it up into words. Apparently, someone else wanted the same thing and built it. He even provided a friendly web interface that links these words to definitions.

https://ichi.moe/ (Free Web Interface)
https://github.com/tshatrov/ichiran (Common Lisp Library)

We've talked yesterday about the previous thread on (3+1)chan and the supposed autosage
I want to ask to the anon who wrote his reply on the new thread (don't know if he posted from the PC or mobile),if it bumped correctly to page 1 of the Catalog or not

I don't know who made the new thread, but he dun goofed.
https://boards.4chan.org/jp/thread/50575978
- pasted OP text twice
- still linking to vern.cc instead of tilde.club

That was from a while ago. I'm surprised you could remember that. Either way, that's a dumb policy, and Airin is right. Kids should stay hydrated especially when they're exerting themselves.
