And while I wait some installation loads on the work stuff, I'll get on with the Olavo thing:
To understand Olavo first you have to understand Brazil as total utopian project by the Illuminist (Positivists) Masons, even from the early monarch/empire times but much more strongly post republican coup.
Their goal was to remove all tradition and religion and replace it with pure immaterial platonic science and philosophy. We had literal churches to science (positivist churches) that replaced the saints and god with "humanity" and scientists.
Every new dictatorship was a new attempt of hammering in a new mythological narrative, identity to the people and achieving those ideal goals of full racial integration, of female liberation, of denial of every natural truth of the species and engineering a "new human race".
It's basically Bioshock. America has similar but more successful traits, its a whole subject.
Ultimately, despite not working, it created a completely fucked identity to the Brazilian people, like if we were children of an insane rapist controlling mother who made us grow up in a make belief insanity, and we can never leave home because the world outside is alien. I hyperbole, but that is the mechanism.
I won't go in too much biographical detail of Olavo, but he was a communist of the intellectual academy, but by means of influence from certain "spreaders of knowledge" (Pierluigi Piazzi and so on, I can detail this later) he got awaken and went after the truth, became a true intellectual reading all sorts of philosophy, joining several religions and cults, etc...
On his old age, he decided to give a crack at fixing Brazil and used all his knowledge to craft a psychological bomb of a book called "The Minimum you need to know to not be an Idiot", in which he proceed to polemicize every single holy cow of the brazilian identity that held it together, every myth, every comfort, every cope, every excuse, etc...
The fact the book starts by calling Brazilian idiots with mental retardation is an example of the "hard truth" (vs kind lie) mechanism of psychological intervention, Trump is another example of this at work.
Along with the Book he made all sort of polemic claims, lots of them were bait like "There are fetuses in Pepsi", every midwit felt like they had to make fun of it (but it was truth) and it ended up exposing all of the system/waking up people in massive scale. Including Bolsonaro and his followers/electors, etc...
His own personal goal was not to do that tho, his plan is/was to create an intellectual elite in the country that is not beholden to the positivist identity, and that elite would conquer the minds of the oligarchs and then via the power of the oligarchs truly revolutionize the country, rather than just elect a president to be killed by them.
